Chapter 6

Tyler pov

My wolf was angry to see that a human boy was touching what was ours, and we didn't like it. I knew she was avoiding me as I didn't see her. I never knew this was the school she picks, but I had only come here to take a break from her sister. I finally dated her, but she was too demanding, and she was acting like a stepmother to my daughter when I didn't talk about marriage to her. Hannah despised her too, because of how demanding and controlling she could be. She didn't know that I had left, and I was expecting to see her calls soon.

"Hey dad" Hannah greeted me as I got home from work that day.

"How are you pumpkin?" I replied, looking up at her and seeing she was dressed for something. "Where are you going? It's late already," I asked.

"I was invited to a party" she answered.

"Hannah" I tried to protest

"Common dad, I am a werewolf and can protect myself."

"I didn't say you can't. You know we just got here, and we need to be careful. You don't even know the person or what kind of party it is". I argued back.

"I know you are going to say that, it's a birthday party and here is the celebrant" she brought out her phone, scrolled through it and showed it to me.

I glanced at the picture in disbelief, it was that boy from earlier, the boy touching what was mine. "You aren't going", I insisted.

"Dad" she cried out, stomping her feet.

"I am only watching out for you; I will let you go in one condition", I said instead.

She calmed down a little. "What's the condition, dad?" she asked with a stern look.

"I will follow you there" I replied.

"Dad, I am a big girl, you can't follow me to parties", she squeezed her face.

"Please Hannah, you won't even know I am there", I assured her.

"She stared blankly at me and I knew she was only thinking about what I had just said. "Fine, but it's only because I needed a ride to the party", she smirked.

I exhaled as I finally got her to agree with me. My wolf was also excited at the thought of seeing our mate tonight, she would surely be there. "Let me quickly change", I told her as I was getting up.

The ride to the party was great. My wolf was howling in my head. "We will be claiming our mate tonight". My wolf said in my head.

"Easy there, we aren't doing any marking tonight, we will just talk to her", I replied.

"We mustn't lose her for the second time again," he warned.

"You seem happier about this party than I am" Hannah said, distracting me.

"I am just my usual self; you are just reading unnecessary meaning to all of this", I told her as I drove into the parking lot.

"Find mate" my wolf suddenly said as soon as I got out of the car.

"Calm your nerves down, we will find her soon" I replied.

"Don't worry about taking me home, I will sort myself out", Hannah said as she walked inside.

"Mate is in trouble, find her now" my wolf broke the barrier and said again.

I had never heard my wolf sound panicked before. "What do you mean she is in trouble, are they bullying her again?" I asked.

That was how I knew she had been bullied in school the other day. My wolf had informed me about what was going on and how I had known all these years that she was safe. "She is in danger, you need to find her now", he kept saying.

I hurried into the house following her scents. Suddenly, I saw her walking towards me. She appeared drunk, as she had been drinking "that is not alcohol". My wolf told me.

She fell into my arms as my nostrils flared up, and a scent came to me. She was drugged, "Ethan" she moaned.

I was angry, she should be moaning my name and not that motherfucker name. "I will fucking kill him", I said as I scooped her up in my arms.

She looks so peaceful sleeping in my arms and I will never get tired of looking at her beautiful face. I took her back to my car. I have to first take care of her before I deal with the boy that put her in this condition. Thank God I was here tonight. I wonder what that boy has in plan for her.

I drove her to my house and took her to my bed, where she belongs. I lay her down gently, but she pulled me closer to her. "Kiss me" she said.

Oh God, how will I get over the night with my mate being horny and driving me and my wolf crazy? I can control myself, but I don't trust my wolf not to take over and mark her mine forever. "I can't", I said regrettably.

"Please" she pleaded as she moaned again.

Glad she didn't call his name again because my wolf will have taken over and shown her who can make her feel good. She was beginning to sweat. As I tried to brush her hair away from her face, she pulled me closer to her and at that moment our lips collided. She kissed me, she is going to hate me tomorrow for this. I was supposed to stop it, but I kissed her back. She responded quickly as she welcomed my tongue into her mouth. Fuck, she tastes good. I deepened the kiss. I have been wanting them since the first day I met her, and I am doing so now.

"Mark mate" my wolf said happily in my head.

At that moment, I controlled myself as my teeth sharpened and my eyes darkened. She was burning with passion like how a wolf smells when she is in heat. She needed to stop. I knew she wasn't herself at that moment, and I wasn't ready to take advantage of her.

"I want you, Tyler" she suddenly said,

I groaned in agony at what she was doing to me. I need to calm her down if I don't want to take her while she is drugged. She won't hate me now, but I fear the aftermath. I moved closer to her and helped her out of her dress. "She kept touching me here and there. She wants us too", my wolf said.

"That is because she was drugged. If she still wants us by tomorrow, we will have her", I replied to him.

"We are going to kill that boy" he said again.

"We need to take care of her first" I responded, before shutting him out again.

I carried her and we went to the bathroom. I placed her gently into the bathtub and opened the cold water. Thank God Hannah is not home yet. She would be happy to see her best friend, but I needed to talk to her first. I was ready to accept her.

Her moaning was melodious to my hearing and I wondered what was going through her head. I brush my hair with my hand in frustration. Why is the moon goddess punishing me? She was beginning to fall asleep, so I carried her back up in my arms towards the bedroom. I put her gently down, not minding her getting the bed wet, and pulled the duvet over her. She looks so peaceful sleeping in my bed and I can help but smile at the thought of my mate waking up next to me tomorrow as I remove my shirt and lay next to her and drift off to sleep.

Rain hammered against the asphalt as my sedan spun violently into the guardrail on the I-95. Blood trickled down my temple, stinging my eyes, while the rhythmic slap of the windshield wipers mocked my panic. Trembling, I dialed my husband, Clive. His executive assistant answered instead, his voice professional and utterly cold. "Mr. Wilson says to stop the theatrics. He said, and I quote, 'Hang up. Tell her I don't have time for her emotional blackmail tonight.'" The line went dead while I was still trapped in the wreckage. At the hospital, I watched the news footage of Clive wrapping his jacket around his "fragile" ex-girlfriend, Angelena, shielding her from the storm I was currently bleeding in.
