Chapter 1

I sacrificed my legs to marry my cousin’s boyfriend, but they replaced me with a different bride on the wedding day!

I was getting married, and the groom was my cousin’s boyfriend.

But on the wedding day, I was not the bride.

I was tied up in the dressing room while the celebration went on outside.

Suddenly, the wedding march stopped, and the wedding turned chaotic.

I sat in my wheelchair and waited for someone to save me and for the person who did this to me to get punished.

After all, the best part always happened at the end!

Just then, the door opened.

“Police!”

I ended up in a wheelchair to marry Tommy Sullivan.

Moon White was my cousin, and Tommy was her boyfriend. While they were planning their wedding, I suddenly came back home.

To celebrate them finally getting together, I suggested a get-together with them.

During the day of the get-together, I staged a car accident.

“Tommy, look out!”

When a speeding car rushed toward Tommy, I pushed him out of the way without hesitation.

Moon screamed as the car hit me and sent me flying.

But things did not go exactly as I planned.

I lay in the hospital bed as the doctor said, “You’re paralyzed waist down. You’ll probably need a wheelchair for the rest of your life.”

I stayed surprisingly calm as I accepted the results.

Moon’s family rushed over when they heard the news and reacted very differently.

They stood by my bed, each with a different expression. They seemed more shocked and confused than guilty.

I smiled with a hint of provocation and said, “It’s been a long time, Aunt Jovia, Uncle Liam. Sigh, it’s all my fault. Our long-awaited reunion is finally happening here in this hospital room.

“And now, you both have to hear the bad news that I’m paralyzed.”

Jovia Thompson spoke first. She took my hand and comforted me. “Stella, how could we blame you? You sacrificed your legs to save Tommy. We should be thanking you, not blaming you.”

She then looked at Liam White, who nodded for her to continue.

“Don’t worry. Since you saved Tommy, the White and Sullivan families will take care of you. We’ll cover everything you need. Just let me know if you need anything.”

Then, I suddenly looked at Tommy, who had been sitting quietly in the corner with a relieved look.

“Yeah, at least Tommy is okay. Losing my legs was worth it,” I said insincerely.

Seeing Jovia’s confused look, I added, “Aunt Jovia, I really appreciate your kindness, but I’m disabled now. I’ll probably never get married. No one will want me. Since I saved Tommy’s life, maybe he could marry me instead.”

My words shocked everyone.
