His Blindness Killed Our Pup Now He Begs Forgiveness
Chapter 1
When Brynn was born, she saved Alpha Levi from a rogue attack, sustaining injuries that left her fragile and unable to awaken her inner wolf. Since then, Levi vowed to make her the most cherished princess of the Silver Moon Pack. On her birthday, after tucking her into bed, I snuck out to the underground fighting rings in search of rare healing herbs to strengthen her fragile body.
But what I found there shattered my world.
Levi, my mate, the Alpha of our pack, stood in the VIP section, his arm draped around Kamila, the pack’s lead communications officer. Below them, in the bloodstained arena, Brynn—my sweet, defenseless Brynn—was thrown into a cage with eight snarling wolves, her small human form trembling with fear. She couldn’t shift. She had no wolf to protect her.
"Alpha," Kamila purred, her voice dripping with false sweetness, "that little thing scared me earlier. I thought she was going to attack me. She’s so... wild. Don’t you think she deserves a lesson?"
Levi’s expression darkened, his Alpha aura flaring with authority. "Release the wolves," he commanded, his voice cold and unyielding.
"Levi, no!" I screamed, slamming my hands against the cage that separated me from the arena. "That’s Brynn! Your daughter! Stop this!"
But my cries were drowned out by the roar of the crowd. The wolves lunged at her, their teeth sinking into her frail body. Brynn’s screams pierced the air, but Levi didn’t flinch. He stood there, his arm still around Kamila, watching as our daughter was torn apart.
"Alpha, this is boring," Kamila pouted, her fingers trailing down Levi’s chest. "Why don’t we make it more... entertaining? Let’s see how long she lasts when we add a few more twists."
Levi’s jaw tightened, but he nodded. "Bring in the lion," he ordered.
The crowd erupted in cheers as a massive, red-eyed lion was released into the arena. Brynn, barely conscious, tried to crawl away, but the lion pounced, its claws raking across her back. I could see the blood pooling beneath her, her small body trembling with pain.
"Levi, please!" I begged, my voice hoarse from screaming. "She’s your daughter! You swore to protect her!"
But Levi didn’t look at me. His eyes were fixed on Kamila, his hand resting possessively on her waist. "She’s just an Omega," he said dismissively. "She’s not strong enough to be my daughter."
The words hit me like a physical blow. My legs gave out, and I collapsed against the cage, my vision blurred with tears. Brynn’s whimpers echoed in my ears, each one a knife to my heart.
The lion dragged her across the arena, its jaws clamped around her tiny arm. I could hear the bones crunching, the sound sickeningly loud. Brynn’s eyes met mine, filled with pain and confusion. "Mommy," she mouthed, her voice barely audible. "It hurts."
"Brynn!" I screamed, my nails digging into the cage until they broke, blood dripping down my fingers. "I’m here, baby! I’m here!"
But I couldn’t save her. I could only watch as the lion tore her apart, piece by piece, until there was nothing left but a broken, lifeless body in the middle of the arena.
I fell to my knees, my body shaking with sobs. My daughter, my sweet Brynn, was gone. And Levi, the man who had sworn to protect her, had stood by and watched as she was slaughtered.
Kamila’s laughter rang out, sharp and cruel. "Well, that was entertaining," she said, leaning into Levi’s side. "But next time, Alpha, let’s make it even more fun."
Levi’s lips curled into a smirk, his eyes cold and unfeeling. "Whatever you want, Kamila."
I wanted to scream, to rage, to tear them both apart. But I was powerless. My daughter was dead, and the man I had loved, the man I had trusted, had betrayed us both.
Brynn, my precious girl, you deserved so much better. I wish you had never been born into this pack, into this family. I wish you had never known the pain of being betrayed by the one person who was supposed to love you most.
