Chapter 6

Elizabeth admired him. Elizebeth clutched Ada's wrist, afraid she'd run away.

Ada kneeled before Elizebeth as they left the hospital.

"Please, mom. Please let me give birth."

He observed Ada's hand covering her stomach. When he examined Elizebeth's reports, he verified Ada's pregnancy. He was stunned and couldn't react.

He wanted to hear what occurred, but this wasn't he time.

Elizebeth didn't want to push the abortion. She worried about Ada's pregnancy. Her future? Elizebeth knew Ada was obstinate and wouldn't give up.

Elizebeth sighed and answered, "Fine."

After speaking, Elizebeth exited.

Her heart ached, and she couldn't face her daughter.

Ada sat slowly. She tried to be brave, but her sorrowful tears fell uncontrollably.

She wanted to stop crying but couldn't. After so long, it broke her heart.

Jonson arrived from abroad to find Ada and Elizebeth back home.

Jonson consoled her. He met her as a teen. Even then, she was careful with her brother and mother. He saw she couldn't afford a meal.

Ada handed her mother and brother the food she'd purchased, saying she'd already eaten.

She was attentive and mature, making him pity her. Ada lifted her head before Jonson could console her.

"Thanks for previous support. I'll repay you ."

"Silly girl, I offered to assist you, so you don't need to return the money," he remarked with a grin. "I'll always remember your kindness." If she could, she'd refund the money.

" I'll drive you home." Ada concerned about Elizebeth. Then she gave him the address.

Ada exited thecar as they arrived.

Jonson yelled. "Will you have abortion?"

Ada shrugged at him. "No".

Ada observed Elizebeth crying as she came.

Elizebeth dried her tears, ignoring Ada.

"Mom."

Elizebeth dried her eyes but couldn't stop weeping. Ada embraced Elizebeth.

The two sobbed while hugging one other.

Ada informed Elizebeth about William's bargain and encouraged her not to worry.

Elizebeth was dumbfounded.

Elizebeth was against the arranged marriage, but Ada was already pregnant. William and the Greenburgs wouldn't approve.

Ada came to the villa that evening to find William missing.

Ada wandered around the villa courtyard after supper to digest and see the plants.

She went home when it grew dark.

She was too thirsty to sleep, so she poured a glass of water. She drank half the glass of water before hearing the front door unlock and open.

Tall person and gorgeous silhouette entered.

Ada was stunned. She didn't expect William to bring back his girlfriend so late.

Ada shocked Jean, too.

'isn't his the hospital patient?'

His face was icy. Why was he angry in the hospital? This woman?

Ada remarked, "I'm going to my room."

"Wait."

She was innocent-looking. William was appalled by her.

"Jean is the housekeeper. You get it?"

"Yes. I'll sleep."

Ada turned and left.

"Miss Wood" Jean smiled.

"I've known William since before you were engaged. Without you, I'd have married him. We adore each other, so..."

Ada thought her odd. She knew her identity and didn't want to bother them. Why did that lady explain?

"You're already married, yet William doesn't like you because of me. I feel bad."

"Don't stress." She believed they had an uneasy connection and should avoid one other.

Ada felt uneasy. After getting her and Elizabeth's belongings, she'd go.

William scowled at Ada and stepped forward

. Ada stepped back from the suffocating air.

Jean grabbed him. "William, calm down. You're newlyweds. Hurry to bed, I'm going home""Don't leave." William took Jean's wrist and headed upstairs.

Jean was overjoyed. Jean was thrilled by William's conduct.

Jean wasn't here that night. She couldn't win his heart without sex.

Ada didn't glance up and simply left. Jean turned to see Ada's skinny back entering her room.

It reminded her of that night's girl. Jean overcome jealously and anger.

She only noticed the woman's slim physique after she departed. No wonder Ada seemed familiar.

When she thought that night's lady may be Ada, her heart pounded in terror and despair.

Jean quickly clutched William's slender waist, buried her head in his chest, and said,

"William, let me be your wife again." William hesitated to kiss her as she said.

Despite Jean's efforts, he lacked typical drive. He'd never considered making love to her until that night.

William tugged at his loose collar and whispered. Maybe he felt strange since he didn't have the manly inclination for Jean.

Jean clenched her fists and cried. "William, do you hate me?" William wrapped his arm over her sshoulder and murmured, "Don't worry too much."

Jean knew what it meant when a guy didn't like her figure. She dutifully lay down, but her eyes got red and swollen.

She wanted to protest, but she was patient and didn't want to make things worse.

William's heart warmed remembering that night. He covered her and sat on the bed.

"Don't stress. If we're married, I'll sex you."

Nodded Jean.

William removed his coat and left.He sat with his legs crossed on the coffee table. He leaned on the couch and yawned.

William read financial news in the morning after Ada showered and changed.

Ada ate oatmeal head-down.

Rose cooked beefs. Rose frowned at Ada.

Why was Ada so modest if she was William's legal wife?

"Ms. Wood, you should seat close to the young master."

'Huh?'t Ada glared.

William gazed at Rose. Ada and William were astonished.

Ada and William's marriage was a transaction where they both benefited.

"I'm full, take your time." Ada knew William cared for Jean from the previous day, so she should not cross the line.

She went rapidly, as if being chased by monsters.

William strained his eyes as Ada fled.

William pondered and muttered,

"Maybe she won't feel comfortable while I'm here..." William gave Jean milk.

.Jean squinted.

Ada swiped her phone and saw a response to her employment application. She had an interview invitation.

Ada grabbed a taxi to the interview after William and Jean departed

Ada breathed deeply before entering the skyscraper.

She was thrilled to have a job interview. In HR's waiting area, several individuals were dressed well and clutching resumes.

They appeared ready for the interview.

Ada wore white shirt . She felt awkward with others. She ignored the weird looks and waited silently.

Ada wasn't called for an hour. Without a degree, her CV was limited.

After viewing her blank resume, the interviewer scowled. "How do you write script?"

The position was posted for a while, but no one applied. Ada squeezed her fists to block off horrible memories. "I wrote novels and scipts since I was young, I just wanted to write my feelings, then I had more inspirations.

"Her voice..." Jean recognized a familiar voice while going by HR with her paperwork. Her heart raced.

Jean knew Ada was the girl from the night before.
