Chapter 11
William frowned. Then he gazed at Ada 's face and felt complicated.
No one knew better than Jonson about Ada 's condition presently.
Ada was in Jonson's arms now and her entire body was shivering while talking to William.
Jonson pulled her to thecar and murmured softly, "Don't be scared. You will be alright." Jonson drove as swiftly as possible to the hospital. Staring at the car drive away, William couldn't stop thinking about what Jonson said and wondered what secret Ada held.
Sometimes, Ada did behave abnormally.
To find out what was going on, he pulled out his mobile phone and gaveMathew a call. "Search for me about Ada ."
William hung up instantly.
"William." Jean raced out of the restaurant and instantly clutched his arm, "Are you still furious with me for not allowing Ada join the company? I know I was wrong. I simply love you too much..."
"No. let's go back." There were no emotions in William's voice or attitude, which made Jean feel discomfort somehow.
She couldn't stop wondering, who did he call just now? At the same moment, at the hospital,Ada was transported to the surgery room. And Jonson waited outside.
He felt discomfort and kept examining the operation room via the little glass.
About an hour later, the door to the operating room opened and Ada was pushed out.
Jonson hastily went up, "How is she?"
The doctor pulled the mask off and remarked, "Because of overwork, she received the symptom of miscarriage. She is OK now. But she has to rest longer, else, she may not be so fortunate next time."
"I understand." Jonson pushed Ada inside the ward.
Ada glanced at Jonson and stated seriously, "Thank you for always assisting me."
"It's alright as long as you are OK."
"You paid the hospital money for me. I don't have money to pay back yet." Ada pulled her dry lips.
"Don't speak about this now, you need to relax." Jonson didn't like her treating him always sweetly as if he was simply an outsider of her heart. Entering the ward, Ada stared at him,
"Can you kindly ask my mother to come here." She didn't want to give Jonson too much difficulty. Jonson believed she missed Elizebeth.
He got out his mobile phone and contacted Elizebeth, informing her that Ada was in the hospital, and requested her to come over.
When Elizebeth heard this, she asked in a panic, "What's wrong with Ada ?"
"She is okay. She simply needs to relax more. She wants to see you." Hearing that, Elizebeth took a relief. Then she hurried to the hospital as quickly as possible.
Once Elizebeth came, Ada requested Jonson to go home. "Yes, I'm sorry for giving you problems." Elizebeth apologized honestly.
"It's alright. I shall go back now and I will see you tomorrow." Jonson stared at her,
"Take a nice rest."
"Thank you."
As soon as Jonson departed, Elizebeth sat on the bedside and covered Ada with a duvet.
"Do you want to eat something?" Ada shook her head, and she looked sick. Looking at Ada , Elizebeth felt terribly sad.
"You may have a very bright future. But you lose your studies due of me. And now..." Thinking about the infant in Ada's womb, Elizebeth felt so sorry that her heart really hurt, "You stated you became pregnant in A Country. What if it is a youngster with golden hair and blue eyes?" Elizebeth concerned that the person Ada slept with that night was a local.
"No matter how he looks like, he is still my kid."
Ada didn't want to think about that night, after all, it was not a pleasant night for her.
"A Country?" William arrived to the hospital to see Ada . He intended to knock on the door, but then he noticed Elizebeth was chatting to Ada inside, so he changed his mind. "Well, it doesn't matter how he looks like, he is still my grandson."
Elizebeth didn't continue. As long as Ada was pleased, Elizebeth was prepared to obey her desire and take care of her.
Elizebeth couldn't stop wondering that maybe she and the infant were destined to be family. After all, Ada became pregnant after just one night of being with that man.
"My Ada , you got to suffer because of me."
"She kept the baby?" William believed that Ada was like a riddle.
At the hospital that day, he watched her entered the surgery room. Seeing Ada and Elizebeth were conversing, William didn't want to interrupt them. He turned and went away.
When he got to the entrance of the hospital, the mobile phone in his pocket rang. He pulled it out and sawMathew's name on the screen. He took it up. "I verified what you asked for."
"Eight years ago, Alfred and Elizebeth were divorced. Then Alfred quickly sent Elizebeth and their daughter Ada to A Country. They had never gone back in the last eight years. Alfred snatched them back not long ago."
William frowned.
Matthew stopped for a few seconds and then said,
"After Elizebeth was transported to A nation, she gave birth to a son with autism. That youngster endured rough life, and died in acar accident before Elizebeth and Ada returned."
William frowned. He couldn't but assume, the reason Ada felt so unhappy was because of her brother? Then what occurred with the kid in her tummy now?
William asked, "That's it? No guy has ever been close to her?"
"No...only a psychologist was close to her."
. Matthew said, "That's all. She didn't date anybody at school, and no other males were close to her."
William was thinking, in other words, the child's father may be the psychologist.
And the reason Alfred brought her back was mainly because of their marriage?
The reason she cared a lot about money was since she had a terrible life in A Country, which was also why she charged money for trial witting.
Thinking at it in this manner, William felt that finally, he understood Ada better.
He glanced back, then got in thecar and left the hospital.
In the hospital, Ada became hungry since she didn't have lunch.
"Mom, I want to eat sweets."
Elizebeth had gone through the same thing. She understood that when a lady was pregnant, she would always favor specific kinds of food.
"I'll go back and cook it for you." Elizebeth got up, at the same moment, concerned that no one would take care of Ada at the hospital.
