He Stole My Blueprint, I Stole His Empire

For years, I was the unseen architect behind the Moretti family's billion-dollar empire, while my capo fiancé, Gianni, promised me protection. Then at 2 a.m., he texted a cold demand for my master decryption keys, along with a photo of his new fiancée—the Underboss's niece—flaunting a blood diamond bought with my work. He dumped me, calling my independence a defect, and presented my smuggling blueprint to the Commission as his own, erasing my name. Now he expects me to hand over the core security codes so he won't look foolish. But I deleted my habitual "Yes, Capo," snapped my burner phone, and took my master blueprint to the most feared Don in the underworld.

Chapter 2

Val POV

By nine in the morning, the air in the Moretti stronghold's meeting hall was thick enough to taste.

The room, a cavern of dark wood and worn leather, was saturated with the odors of stale cigar smoke and fear.

Capo Lorenzo sat at the head of the mahogany table, his bulk a knot of shadow in the dim light.

A man of the old school, his patience for pretense was nonexistent.

He stared at Gianni, his eyes heavy and dark like river stones.

"Explain the logic of the Dynamic Customs Profiling module," Lorenzo demanded, his voice a low gravel.

The confident smirk on Gianni's face froze.

He shifted in his chair, the leather groaning under his weight.

"It is a... a synergized approach to territorial acquisition," Gianni offered, his voice unnaturally loud.

He was reciting jargon, a string of empty words meant to obscure his ignorance.

Lorenzo's palm struck the table. The sound was not loud, but sharp and flat, like a bone breaking.

"Spare me the drivel, Gianni. I want figures."

The Capo's thumb, thick and calloused, pressed into the whorls of the table's grain, the nail turning white with the force of it. His voice dropped.

"Give me the laundering models. The exact percentages of anticipated revenue."

A fine moisture appeared on Gianni's brow.

His panicked eyes darted toward the back of the room.

He was searching for me in the shadows, as he always did when the water rose above his head.

I sat in the corner, my tablet resting on my lap, my face a mask of placid neutrality.

I watched the war between terror and rage play out across his features.

The desperation in his eyes was plain; he could not comprehend why I would sit idle while his life was being dismantled before him.

"The technicalities... they are complex," Gianni stammered, wiping his brow with a trembling hand.

"Val handled those particulars. She can clarify."

Lorenzo shifted his heavy, uncompromising gaze to me.

"Explain it," Lorenzo ordered.

I slowly closed the cover of my tablet.

In the profound stillness of the room, the soft click of the magnetic clasp sounded like a key turning in a lock.

I stood, my shoulders squared.

Memories flashed through my mind:

His complaints about my will.

His public flaunting of Francesca.

The theft of my work.

"Val," Gianni urged, his voice thin with desperation.

I ignored him, my eyes fixed on Lorenzo.

"I designed the Dynamic Customs Profiling module," I said.

My voice was clear and carried to every corner of the hall. It had no tremor, no heat, only the cold precision of fact.

"The functional details and evasion tactics are documented in my original, unedited files."

Gianni's jaw fell slack. The blood drained from his face, leaving it the color of old parchment.

I finally turned my gaze to him, letting my silence dismantle what little remained of his composure.

"His sole contribution was to sign his name to my report."

I kept my eyes locked on his as I delivered the final cut.

"He is ignorant of the network's security protocols. He does not know a single code."

Gianni stared at me, his expression one of blank, uncomprehending shock.

A new silence descended, heavier than before. It was a weighted thing, pressing down on all of them. I could feel the minute shifts of fabric and leather as every man at the table darted his eyes between Gianni's trembling form and my own stillness.

Lorenzo's face darkened, the change less an expression than a gathering of storm clouds.

He stood, the legs of his heavy chair scraping violently against the concrete floor.

"This meeting is concluded," Lorenzo barked.

He pointed a thick finger at both of us.

"Gianni. Val. My office. Now."

The trap was already springing. And Gianni didn't even know he was the prey.

Only one bloodline remained untouched by the curse, the ancient Lycans of Lupenreich, protected by powerful shamanic magic. Coveted by werewolves, hunted by witches, despised by vampires, the Lycans became both salvation and threat. And now, only one true heir remains... Sybil von Rosen was never meant to grow up among humans. Born a Lycan princess through a human surrogate, she was stolen from the castle as an infant by the very woman meant to nurse her, a woman who turned out to be a witch. Hidden beneath a powerful spell that caged her wolf and erased her scent from the supernatural world, Sybil was raised knowing exactly who she was... and exactly what she had been bred for. A womb. A crown. Her bloodline's legacy. But Sybil was never meant to be a broodmare queen. She grew up human with the strength and senses of a shewolf and the magic of the witches, which got transferred to her while she was still in the womb of her surrogate. She's strong, intelligent, disciplined, and lethal. An MMA champion. A combat instructor for a private military contractor. A woman who learned to fight before she ever learned to howl. When the magic of her witch mother begins to fade, and the werewolf King finally tracks them down, Sybil is summoned back to a kingdom that remembers her only as its missing heir. Betrayed by her hybrid fiancé, who abandoned her to marry the princess of their kingdom, Sybil made a decision that will shake three kingdoms. She returned. Not for love. Not for duty. For revenge... And fate claims they are her mates. There's only one problem. Sybil cannot feel her wolf, for it was caged deep within her soul. She cannot smell her mates. She is a Lycan princess trapped in a wolfless body. While her four Alphas believe they are claiming their future Luna and Queen, Sybil is already planning something far more dangerous. She will not stand beside a king. She will not be used to breed to secure bloodlines. And she certainly will not be ruled. If the kingdom wants a queen... They're about to kneel to a rebel queen. Because Sybil von Rosen is not an ordinary Luna. She is the last Lycan heir. The forbidden daughter of witches. The mate of four Alpha Guardians.
