The night I reached the pinnacle of my career as a concert pianist, my husband was in a car with his mistress. Their argument caused the crash that crushed my hands, ending my future in an instant.

我的车子驶入机场停车场, 我心里充满了期待. 丹尼, 我的小丹尼, 今天终于要从国外回来了. 他一个人乘飞机, 我已经有好几个月没见到他了. 我的心跳得飞快, 想象着他冲进我怀里的样子, 那是我生命中唯一的阳光.
我焦急地穿过人群, 目光搜寻着出口的方向. 突然, 我的心猛地一沉, 身体像是被冰冻住了.
亚历山大和肯尼迪, 他们竟然也在这里!
他们的目光也落在了我身上. 肯尼迪的脸上原本还带着一丝不耐烦的阴沉, 在看到我之后, 立刻转变成了惊喜. 亚历山大的眼神也闪过一丝错愕, 随即变成了一种掌控的得意.
"妈妈! " 肯尼迪尖叫一声, 向我冲了过来.
她一把抢过我手中的一个精致的礼盒, 那是我特意为丹尼准备的, 里面是他最喜欢的乐高玩具.
"谢谢妈妈! 我就知道你一定会来接我的! " 她抱着礼盒, 脸上是天真的笑容.
我的心像被针扎了一下, 很疼.
亚历山大走过来, 脸上带着那种虚假而完美的笑容, 但他眼神里的寒意却让我感到恶心.
"你怎么才来, 阿莎? 你知不知道肯尼迪等了你多久? " 他的语气里没有任何关怀, 只有指责和不满.
"克里斯汀都比你更懂得如何关心孩子. " 他轻描淡写地补了一句, 仿佛在提醒我, 我有多么失败.
我的心像被狠狠地撕扯着, 旧伤未愈, 又被他毫不留情地揭开. 我感到喉咙里有什么东西在堵着, 疼得我无法呼吸. 我不想解释, 也不想争辩. 和他争辩, 没有任何意义.
"我不是来接你们的. " 我的声音很轻, 却带着不容置疑的坚定. 我看着肯尼迪, 努力让自己的声音听起来平静. "肯尼迪, 把你手里的东西还给我. 那不是给你的. "
我的声音因为愤怒而微微颤抖.
"这是我给我儿子的礼物. " 我一字一句地强调着, 我的目光扫过亚历山大, 他脸上的笑容瞬间僵住了.
肯尼迪震惊地瞪大了眼睛, 手中的乐高玩具盒 "啪" 地一声掉在了地上, 散落一地. 她的脸上的惊喜瞬间变成了不解, 然后是愤怒和委屈.
"儿子? 什么儿子? " 她尖叫起来, 声音里充满了不可置信和嫉妒. "你竟然背着我和爸爸, 和别的男人生了孩子? "
"爸爸说你生病了, 说你不会再回来了! 他说, 你永远都是我的妈妈! " 她转头看向亚历山大, 眼神里满是控诉.
亚历山大的脸色也变得铁青. 他猛地向前一步, 靠近我, 一股强大的压迫感瞬间袭来. 他抓住我的手腕, 力道大得几乎要捏碎我的骨头.
"阿莎, 你到底在搞什么鬼? " 他的声音低沉而危险. "你知不知道你今天给我制造了多大的麻烦? "
他紧紧地盯着我, 语气带着一种伪善的宽容: "算了, 我就原谅你今天的迟到和胡闹. 肯尼迪需要你, 你现在就跟我走. "
