For the Greater Good
Chapter 3
Fiona's parents, Henry Geller and Carrie Fraser, came at dinner time.
"Good boy. You've suffered these days." Henry patted Phillip's shoulder. "You've put in a lot of effort to leave Freda a child."
"Don't say that, Henry. I love Freda the most. I'm willing to do it for her and the Geller family." Phillip looked sad, but his eyes wandered toward Fiona.
"Fortunately, we have Fiona." Carrie held her daughter's hand. "We must leave a child for Freda."
I ate my meal silently, my heart feeling like it had been torn apart.
"Timothy is such a good man." Phillip suddenly looked at me. "Not every husband can be so... tolerant."
He deliberately emphasized the word 'tolerant', his eyes full of mockery.
Carrie glanced at me coldly. "Timothy has no talent, but he's obedient."
Fiona immediately defended me, saying, "Mom, don't say that. Timothy is hardworking."
Henry scoffed. "Hardworking? What can a normal employee provide for you, Fiona? Phillip drives a Ferrari and lives in a villa, while Timothy can't even afford a decent watch."
I clenched my fists. Due to my special identity, I had not told them my real job, but the money I transferred to them every month had never been less.
"Dad, speak less," Fiona advised before turning to me. "Honey, my dad's just outspoken. Don't take it to heart."
I put down my cutlery. "I have to go."
Henry roared, "Sit down! Who told you to leave?"
"There's something urgent at work."
"What sort of urgent matters could there be at a run-down private company?" Carrie scoffed. "You're just a lowly employee. How dare you say there's something urgent?"
"Let me give you a ride." Phillip suddenly stood up. "I was going out anyway."
I wanted to refuse, but Henry said, "That's great. Timothy, you can learn a lot from your brother-in-law."
…
Sitting in Phillip's luxury car, I was tense.
Phillip said as he drove, "Timothy, are you alright? You don't look too good."
I was silent.
"You know what?" Phillip glanced at me through the rearview mirror. "Fiona feels really good."
My blood froze instantly.
"Even though she and Freda are twins, they feel completely different." He licked his lips. "Freda's wilder, and Fiona's gentler."
"Shut up!" I gritted my teeth.
"What? Angry?" Phillip laughed. "I was just sharing my experience with you."
"It's a pity Freda's dead, or I'd really like to try having a threesome. Timothy, have you tried? Of course, with your abilities, you probably couldn't even satisfy one."
I jumped up and punched him in the face. Phillip was caught off guard, and blood gushed from his nose.
"Have you lost your mind?" he roared, clutching his nose.
Instead of answering, I threw another punch. Years of special forces training had given me reflexes and strength far beyond that of ordinary people. Although Phillip was tall and strong, he was like a child in front of me.
"You'll regret this." He glared at me, his eyes filled with malice.
