Chapter 2

I remember how shocked I was when Olivia, my best friend from college, told me her Uncle and Godfather was Charles Davenport.

When I asked for pictures of what he looked like, she said she didn't have one because her uncle barely took pictures and didn't want people to know he was the face behind the brand.

As much as I saw the juicy potential and traffic that would amount to being the first blogger to publish never-before-seen photos of Charles Davenport, I had to respect his decision to remain private.

I have mingled with Olivia ever since, we have both attended several VIP cocktail parties over the years courtesy of her uncle's influence, he was never around, the few times I hung out with her, and I've always admired the effortless admission into those gatherings when we presented our exclusive invitations signed by Charles Davenport, I would always wonder what he looked like, how a faceless person could be so influential, I imagined that he carries himself with utmost pride.

But I had never met him, painfully.

Today, however, that connection felt more palpable.

It wasn't long after my morning ritual that I found myself at The Breakfast, an A-list café somewhere in Ybor City.

As a freelance contributor for a prominent fashion magazine; Vogue Daily -and a dedicated self-established fashion blogger with an ever-growing following-I frequented spots like this for aesthetic reasons, and also because of the way it gave me something to write or blog about.

I settled at a corner table by the window, my laptop open and my notepad ready to capture any flair of inspiration I could lay my hands on.

For the few minutes, I had been sitting there, My mind, already racing with potential story ideas and angles for my next article, suddenly halted when I noticed a tall, impeccably dressed man pause at the entrance to scan the room.

I did not notice I had frozen. I was almost asking the buddy on the next seat to shift so I could faint.

It wasn't just what he was wearing that caught my attention; it was the sophistication he exuded, his ultra masculine energy running through his bulky frame, shades blocking his eyes, but I could tell he was handsome as fuck. What part of the world did this handsome man come from? The other ladies were gawking and fangirling as I was. But we all had that - who the hell is this hot piece of meat look on our faces?

My heart was skipping hurdles.

I observed his calculated gait as he walked while pressing his phone. His eye briefly met mine. In that fleeting moment, a part of me felt like I knew him, men were not this stylish around this neighbourhood, but he was serving looks, we momentarily shared a "this face looks familiar" kind of glance before he continued walking.

My mind raced with thoughts: For a few minutes, I was tempted to take a photo of him for my next blog post and just then a title kissed my mind; "Caught In Style: The Mysterious Coffee Drinker of Ybor City". Could today be the day fate decided to thrust me with an Idea after several days of writer's block? Rather than taking photos of him without permission, I thought of going over to say hello, an idea I shut down seconds later, what if he rejects me, or ignores me, the idea was both exhilarating and terrifying.

As the minutes passed, I watched him make his way to a table across the room.

He pulled out a tablet and began reviewing what looked like documents, I could barely see anything. I typed in the title I had thought about, but I didn't know how to start as my mind was restless. My eyes kept flitting between my screen and him, I dont know why I felt like he was aware I was staring at him. He stared back too, at intervals.

My thoughts were interrupted by a gentle nudge. Turning, I realized it was Richard, my ex-boyfriend. The dreamy smile on my face flushed into a frown.

"I knew I would find you here," He asked, taking a sit across me.

"What are you doing here Richard?" I asked, not even sparing him a glance,

I lowered my head like I was reading through something on my laptop, I was staring at nothing actually. I just needed to create the impression that was busy so hopefully, Richard would read the room and leave me the fuck alone.

"You won't let us hangout" He said with a wry smile.

"What part of we are over do you not understand?" I asked, typing away on my laptop.

"Juliana, you didnt even give me an opportunity to explain," Richard whispered.

I was getting pissed, I felt my anger rise to the brim when I turned in the direction of the hot looking stranger and didn't see him, then my eyes flew to the glass door, and I saw him get into a car, in a matter of seconds, he was gone. My muse for a perfect blog post was gone, Thanks to Richard, this bald headed demon had successfully ruined my chance at hitting the trend table tonight.

"What the fuck is wrong with you, you just ruined things for me now, why can't you accept the fact that I am done dealing with your lies, manipulations, gas lighting, " I fired at him, " You really had the nerve to show up here today of all fucking days? After everything? Listen and read my lips. I'm done - so done with you. You're badluck, Richard. You drain the light out of me. Don't call, don't text, don't even breath near me again, stay the fuck away from me"

He was speechless, I got up, gathered my things into my bag, and stormed out. He dared not to follow me.

***

I arrived home at exactly 6pm, kicking my shoes to a corner, it had been a busy day, I managed to write an article or two, but I wasn't feeling the spark in those articles and the titles were seemingly beginning to annoy me. Each time I thought of how Richard flopped what could have fetched me thousands of visits to my blog, I got extremely angry. Oh cursed be the ground he walks on.

I tossed my bag into the corner as soon as I stepped through the door. I barely had time to drop it before my phone rang. I picked it up and saw it was Olivia calling. Sighing, I answered, "Hey, Liv."

"Juliana, guess what?" Olivia's voice was bright, choked with excitement, instantly pulling me out of my gloomy mood.

I raised an eyebrow and sighed. "What is it now? Don't tell me you've got another crazy plan up your head, I had a very rough day and I'm hungry."

"You won't believe it- Uncle Charles is in town!" Olivia exclaimed, her voice practically bubbling with enthusiasm. "And guess what? He wants to meet you tonight! I've told him so much about you, and now he is ready to host you for dinner."

My heart skipped a beat. Charles? My best friend's uncle was in town? Really I asked, trying to hide the surprise in my voice.

"I thought he was to come back next week for the prelaunch party?"

"Yes, really!" Olivia replied quickly. "He's flown in just for a business deal, and would be jetting back to New york soon after, he mentioned that he would like to meet the one person who has manage to put up with my madness so long. He said we're doing dinner on his yacht, too. How amazing is that?"

I paused my breath to let her words sink in.

It felt as though a flush of hope had started to push down bad day feelings to my vagina as my bladder had become full, I needed to pee . "I... I can't believe it, Liv. I was really upset today. One minute I was fighting my own demons, and the next-your uncle in town? Is he aware of how much of a Fan I am?"

Olivia laughed softly on the other end. "Sometimes life works in strange ways, Jules. I'm sorry you had a bad day, but this is a chance for us to unwind and have a good time. I feel like you both are going to get along, Plus, you have an eye for style, and he admires that, you may just bag the exclusive you have been praying for."

I ran my hand over my face with excitement as I listened. "Girl!!! You always know how to cheer me up," I admitted quietly. "I'm still shaking off today's mess, but hearing this, I think I might have something to look forward to, good lord!."

"Exactly!" Olivia replied. "I'm on my way to pick you up. So, get ready, okay? I want you to shine your best tonight."

I wanted to tell her about the hot man I saw earlier today that had got my pussy dripping, for weird reasons I could not help but imagine him fucking me in the bathroom of that cafe, that probably would have happened if Richard did not show up.

"Reserve whatever tea you want to spill for when we meet baby girl"

I closed my eyes for a brief moment and took a deep breath praying it calms the storm brewing in my vagina. "Alright, Liv. I'll start planning an outfit right away. I don't want to show up looking like I had I escaped a correctional facility."

"You better!!" Olivia said, hanging up later!!

I dashed for the bathroom almost knocking down the door, i immediately settled on the water closet and emptied myself, i envisioned the man from the restaurant walking in through the door, staring me like a lion waiting to devour his prey. I aggressively shook my head to reality, "Jules get a hold of your self"

Whipping my own vagina with the wet wipes also turned me on, I didn't want to believe I was loosing it, I was so horny, I needed to be positioned and furiously fucked, urrrgh God!

I flushed the toilet, slipped out of my panties and walked to my room butt naked, enjoying the sweet sensation of my thighs rubbing together as I walked around.

I looked around my small, cluttered room and flung open my wardrobe. As I sorted through my clothes, I talked to myself softly. I need something stunning, something that screams 'elegance.' I was just meeting this man for the first time and didn't want to do too much. I pulled out a black peplum dress with a thigh high floral slit.

My phone rang again-another call from Olivia. "Baby, How are you feeling now?" she asked as soon as I answered.

"I'm feeling better," I said, smiling at my reflection in the mirror with the dress. "I've picked out something nice. I even found that little necklace you got me last year for my birthday."

"You're going to look stunning, Jules. I can't wait for you to meet him."

I paused for a second to blame the devil for the nervousness and anxiety i was beginning to feel? What if I looked basic? Was it anticipation I felt?.

I did not know when i uttered my thoughts, "I just hope I can make a good impression. I'm not always great at dealing with these kinds of situations."

"You will," Olivia reassured me as usual. "Uncle Charles is not a difficult person, so Just be yourself."

I took one last look in the mirror and smiled weakly. "Okay, I'll be ready. I'll meet you when you get here"

"Perfect!" Olivia replied. "I'll be there soon, and we'll head out together. Trust me, tonight is going to be a blast"

I hung up this time around, I felt aching my vagina begin calm down a bit as warmth spread through me.

I hated dressing up for special event because tell me why this outfit was beginning too tacky in my eyes. It was the only descent piece of clothing in my wardrobe, my blog barely paid me enough to get new clothes, what to do?

While, I was contemplating, my phone beeps, it's a message from, "Start getting ready and doing your make up, I will be there at exactly 8pm."

He whispered that he had bought up every cent of my family’s medical and gambling debts, turning my marriage into a life sentence of indentured servitude.
