Escape from My Mate's Test-Tube Lie

Escape from My Mate's Test-Tube Lie

I endured years of betrayal by my mate Logan-he used me as a vessel for his ex Olivia's test-tube pup, let Olivia's brother harm me, and let my mom die by pulling healers for Olivia. Devastated, I plotted escape with Logan's rival Ryan: fake my death, end the pregnancy, and take half his company. After faking suicide at sea, I started over as "Anna" in Nithoria, finding a new family with Sally, her son Anthony, and their adopted daughter Beth. Logan, discovering the truth, chased me to apologize, but I rejected him.

Chapter 4

Under the harsh hospital lights, my vision swims from dehydration. My legs are numb below the waist, barely holding me up as I lean against the wall. Laughter cuts through the haze, sharp and cruel. "God, she pissed herself. How gross!" That piercing voice slaps me awake. I lock eyes with Olivia, her smug grin glowing, her makeup flawless, her smile venomous. "You should've heard yourself, whimpering like a dog, begging for help," she sneers. "Logan was with me the whole time." Her words click it all into place-she set this up. Shame and fury burn my cheeks, and I snap at the gawking nurses and healers. "I'm Sophie Ramirez, mate of Reed Industries' biggest shareholder. Call the enforcers now. I want last night's negligence investigated!" Olivia's smugness falters, panic flickering in her eyes. But then Logan strides in with his bodyguards, clearing the room in seconds. He steps in front of Olivia, shielding her, while I'm forced into a wheelchair by his men. His gaze is stormy, a mix of rage and exasperation. "It was just a she-wolf's prank, Sophie. Don't make a big deal out of it." Even after everything, his dismissal cuts deep. I laugh, but my eyes sting with tears. "Logan, today it's me or her. Choose." In five years, he's never seen me this broken, like I've got nothing left tying me to this world. His pupils flicker, but his voice stays cold. "Be good, babe. Stop throwing tantrums. No enforcer's touching this case with me around." His words shatter the last shred of hope I was clinging to. I laugh, bitter and sharp. "What if I demand an answer?" His eyes flash with impatience. "You wouldn't dare." A bodyguard steps to the window, pulling back a black cloth to reveal Mom's urn. My nails dig into my palms, pain radiating through my trembling soul. "You're threatening me with my mother's ashes?" I choke out. Logan's gaze darkens, but he drapes a blanket over me with infuriating gentleness. "Don't touch me!" I slap him hard, my voice raw with grief. "Logan, I should've never saved you. I regret ever loving you." He doesn't flinch, just keeps tucking the blanket around me, his touch soft but his eyes turning to ice. "My mate, you'll stay by my side forever. You're never leaving me." His voice drops to a lover's whisper, chilling me. "As punishment, you're grounded for a week. Rest up at the villa." "Take her home!" he barks.

ICE- The Alpha's Unwanted OMEGA
7.1
The captain is dead to the world. And I'm the only one holding the kill switch. Ethan Carter, the "Glacier of Silvercrest," was the most feared Alpha to ever step onto the ice. Now, he's nothing but a shell-a broken, comatose legend trapped in his own body. My life? It was supposed to be simple. Graduate, survive the pack's bottom-tier status, and pay off my father's ruinous blood-debts. Instead, the pack elders handed me a contract soaked in cold, hard malice: I am the designated "Stabilizer." My only job is to touch him, scent him, and keep his wolf from flatlining. I thought I was just a glorified nurse. I didn't realize the Alpha was listening. When Ethan finally wakes, he isn't the hero the Kingdom of Valeria remembers. He's a starving predator with amber eyes that burn holes through my defenses and a temperament that makes the frost in the mansion seem warm. He hates the bargain, he hates the pack, and-most dangerously-he hates the way his scent turns wild whenever I'm near. He wants me out of his sight. I want to be out of his reach. But in a pack built on secrets, someone is still trying to finish the job they started on his life. Now, the man who wants me gone is the only one who can protect me. And as the rink turns into a battlefield, I'm realizing the most dangerous thing about the Alpha isn't his temper... it's the fact that once he claims a mate, he doesn't know how to let go. Frozen hearts are meant to shatter. But in the fire of this pack, we're both going to burn.
My Montana Escape: A New Beginning
7.9
The cool metal of the gurney is the last thing I'll remember. One more session, the doctor said, and the past ten years of my life will be wiped clean. It all comes back to that night. I walked in to find my fiancé, Alex, kissing my half-sister, Kalie-the girl I raised since she was fifteen. When I confronted them, Kalie shoved me. I hit my head on a steel model, bleeding on the floor of the studio we designed together. But Alex didn't rush to me. He rushed to comfort her. She lied, painting me as the attacker. My best friend, my entire world, turned against me. Alex, my Alex, had me committed, signing the papers that subjected me to brutal, punitive electroshock treatments. He wasn't just erasing my memory; he was erasing me, punishing me for a crime I didn't commit, all to protect her. Now, waking from the final, consensual treatment, I find a note I left for myself. It's a plan. Sell the firm. Sell the house. Disappear to Montana. And this time, I won't just be erasing the memories. I'll be erasing them.
Reborn to Refuse The Lord
7.9
I came with a mission to kill the Lord of the empire, Mark. "Lara, I am pleased with you." Fireworks bloomed above us as I looked down at Mark kneeling on one knee. The dagger hidden in my sleeve almost slipped from my grasp. "Are you willing to marry me as my wife, from now on, for a lifetime?" "Yes." The system's alarm rang sharply in my mind, urging me to complete my mission, but I still chose to move forward without hesitation. Reality, however, was far crueler than I expected. "Lara, as Mark's wife, you must not leave the palace for three years and, when the time comes, gracefully step down." "Okay," I answered lightly, just as I had agreed to his proposal. That night, flames swallowed my courtyard, the fire blazing high enough to erase everything I had endured. I thought it was my end. But when I opened my eyes, I was back to the day he proposed. The same fireworks. The same man on one knee. Only this time, Mark's eyes were filled with tears as he held my hand and whispered, "Lara, don't go."
Rejected Omega: Rising As The True Luna
8.3
For three years, I was the lowest Omega in the Blackwood Pack, hopelessly devoted to my Fated Mate, Alpha Kaelen. But when I was mauled by rogues and bleeding out in the freezing forest, I desperately begged him for help through our mate link. He crushed his wolf’s instincts to save me and sent back a chilling thought before severing our connection completely. "She is a mistake. Silence." He didn't just leave me to die. The next morning, he dragged me before the entire pack, publicly rejected me, and let his people strip me of my clothes and dignity. They threw me out of the territory with nothing but a scratchy burlap sack, expecting the deadly wilderness to claim my life by nightfall. I thought my life was over, until I stumbled upon a hidden sanctuary in the woods and uncovered a horrific truth. I wasn't just a worthless Omega. I was the last surviving Matron Luna of the legendary Mooncrest Pack—a powerful pack that Kaelen's own father had brutally massacred decades ago out of pure jealousy. He thought he had discarded a piece of trash, entirely unaware of the blood feud between our families. He didn't know he had just set me free. Now, with my ancient powers awakening and my lost people gathering by my side, I am going to make the Alpha who threw me away pay for every drop of blood his family spilled.
The Belated Confession from a Disqualified Father
7.7
My six-year-old twins, Liam and Lily, begged to go to Disneyland. But my husband, Julian Vance, planned to take his mistress to a prenatal clinic. Annoyed by the twins' crying and deeming them "too delicate and spoiled," Julian drove them out to the Mojave Desert, demanding they learn how to survive on their own. I couldn't even fathom it. I begged him desperately. "Julian, please! Give me the coordinates! Tell me where my babies are!" "They're only six! They'll die out there! I promise I'll discipline them. I'll never let them bother you again. Please, just let me go get them back!" The only answer I got was the sound of him having sex with his mistress. By the time Julian found out the truth, it was already too late. He knelt before me, crying and pleading for forgiveness, but my children were no longer around to forgive him. And I could never forgive him on their behalf.
