Chapter 1

Just because of a prophecy, the Divine Dao toyed with the Universe as it pleased.

It created endless cycles of destruction and rebirth, caring nothing for the lives of trillions within it. Ironically, all of this was done because of a prophecy that foretold the birth of a young man from the lower world who would one day kill it.

Jhi Chen… with his sword, he split the earth, pierced the heavens, and slew both Gods and Demons.

“No matter if they are Gods, Demons, or even the Dao itself. If there is no justice for all living beings, I will destroy it! Remember this name, Jhi Chen!”

: The Birth of Jhi Chen

In a very small village, the majority of the residents were just poor people living simple lives. That day, suddenly the sky turned frightening. Thick clouds rolled in, thunder rumbled incessantly, and the wind roared fiercely, causing the trees to sway wildly.

The villagers were terrified. Their bodies shivered, their hearts filled with anxiety as if a great disaster was about to befall them.

"What is happening? Why has the sky suddenly become like this?" someone exclaimed with a pale face.

"Hey! Look at the lightning! It's not just striking above our village, but spreading... spreading so far that I can't measure how distant it is!" another replied with a trembling voice.

Fear enveloped every house. Children cried, women screamed, and some people even fainted, unable to withstand the terror.

In a Distant Place

In a place very far from that village, stood a magnificent center of power, the headquarters of the galaxy's ruler. A handsome man stood at the top of an ancient, towering building. His body was tall and upright, his face handsome, but the cold radiance emanating from him silenced anyone. His eyes were deep, sharp, as if capable of piercing the universe.

The aura he released was so suffocating, it made the air tremble violently. Behind him, hundreds of powerful experts knelt. Their auras were enough to overturn mountains and split oceans, but they all bowed before that man. Clearly, his status was at the peak.

This man was the ruler of the galaxy. He had never known fear of anyone. But this time, his own heart trembled. There was a sense of unease that was difficult to ignore.

With a grim face, he stared at the sky. The phenomenon of lightning engulfing the universe made his chest feel tight. Slowly, he sighed.

"This lightning... is truly terrifying. The entire sky is covered in thunder. What is actually happening?"

And it wasn't just in his galaxy. The phenomenon shook the entire galaxy. The leaders of sects, ancient clans, and even other galaxy rulers trembled.

"Hopefully, this isn't a sign of disaster..." they whispered, though their hearts were filled with the same fear.

No one dared to associate this phenomenon with the birth of a baby. Because for them, it was impossible for someone's birth to invite a turmoil capable of covering the skies of the entire galaxy.

Back to the Poor Village

Meanwhile, in the small village filled with fear, people continued to cry. Most had even lost consciousness. They were just ordinary humans, with not a single cultivator among them.

But in a simple house, amidst the commotion of the universe, a woman was struggling to give birth.

"I can't hold on... why doesn't our child want to come out?" she cried, clutching her husband's hand tightly. Her body trembled, her face was pale, sweat poured down, while blood continued to flow.

Her husband sat beside her, unable to do anything but pray with a deep gaze. Those eyes were not the eyes of an ordinary person—sharp, as if capable of seeing beyond this world.

With such painful struggle, finally, the cry of a baby was heard. A child was born perfectly.

As the baby was born, the lightning covering the sky suddenly shrank. Not disappearing, but gathering, forming a terrifying figure: a giant beast, with a dragon's head and a crocodile-like body, with wings wide enough to cover the sky, and possessing twelve eyes that stared fiercely.

This phenomenon made all the strong leaders in the world hold their breath. They prepared, because the beast could attack at any moment. However, no one expected that the lightning beast would suddenly disappear just like that.

"Strange! What just happened? What kind of beast was that? Where did it go?" shouted the sect and clan leaders in various parts of the universe.

No one could answer.

It turned out that the lightning creature had entered the body of the newborn baby in that small village.

And as if that wasn't enough, another absurd phenomenon occurred. The sun, moon, and stars came out together, shining united in the sky. That phenomenon had never existed in the history of the world.

Billions of people fell silent, their mouths wide open.

"Truly... this phenomenon is terrifying. We are witnessing history that will become a legend!"

However, when all eyes looked to the sky, suddenly the light of the sun, moon, and stars shone too brightly, making no one able to open their eyes.

At that moment, the newborn baby emitted a dazzling light. Slowly, all that cosmic light was absorbed into its tiny body.

The sky returned to normal. The world, too, rumbled with discussion, confusion, and fear.

In that simple house, the woman stared at the baby in her arms in astonishment. She turned to her husband.

"It seems we can't continue to live in retirement... our child is not destined to be an ordinary human."

It turned out that the couple were no ordinary people. Both were very powerful cultivators, hiding their identities tightly. Even the royal cultivators, who were considered gods by the villagers, never knew who they really were.

The husband sighed.

"This is indeed fate. If we force our child to live as an ordinary human, it would be the same as torturing him. He must become a cultivator. As a father, I can't let our child grow up ordinary. I will look at his bloodline, to know what resources can support our child.”

"Wait, Husband..." said his wife.

"What's wrong?"

"Our child... hasn't been named yet."

"I've already thought about it."

"Then... what is his name?"

"I want to give him a name from my family. Do you mind?"

The woman shook her head slightly.

"Of course not. Besides, your family is far, very far, even separated not just between dynasties, but between galaxies. That's five galaxies away, billions of stars separating us. It's impossible for anyone to suspect his name. But if we use my family's name... it will be very dangerous. Because my family is still in this galaxy. When I left, people thought I was dead. The galaxy's ruler was furious with my clan, because he once proposed to me. Our clan was not exterminated, but punished. If one day they know he is my son... I'm afraid this child will be hunted."

Her husband sighed deeply.

"I understand. If I didn't want my existence to be known, I should have annihilated your galaxy's ruler already. But I chose to hide. That makes you suffer, having to come with me in this state. Forgive me..."

Thin tears welled up in his wife's eyes, but she smiled gently.

"My husband, don't say that. Just being able to live with you is the greatest happiness in my life."

"Mu’er... thank you."

"Hahaha, Husband... don't say that. If the world knew I was your wife, maybe millions of women would curse me!"

"Huh, you."

For the first time, the husband smiled happily.

"Mu’er, our child's name is Jhi Chen. Do you like it?"

"My husband... I like it very much."

"In that case," the husband continued, "I will test his bloodline now."

He picked up Jhi Chen and took him to an ancient formation. In the middle of the formation, lay a treasure that was of unknown age.

When the baby was placed on top of the treasure, as soon as they touched, the treasure immediately cracked, then turned to ashes. Unable to withstand Jhi Chen's bloodline.

The husband was silent for a moment, then sighed long.

"Hah... such a strong bloodline, to the point that this treasure is destroyed. Even though this treasure can withstand up to the Saint King level before breaking. But Chen’er... his bloodline surpasses that. Even within my clan, only I possess the Saint King bloodline. Chen’er... is truly extraordinary."

"Husband, what happened?" his wife asked anxiously.

"Calm down, Mu’er. This treasure is unable to bear Chen’er's bloodline. I will use an immortal treasure, a treasure that comes from the Celestial Realm. With that, I can see the true level of Chen’er's bloodline."
