Chapter 8

With shaking hands I dialed the "A" for Aamon wanting to save his contact as he had ordered. I still couldn't believe this fool was blackmailing me into doing stupid things he wishes, he's such a devil.

"Give it." He snatched the phone from my hand and quickly dialed somethings I couldn't see, then tossed it back to me.

"Here you go, now remember.." he blabbed as I unlocked my screen only to find that he had saved himself as "My other half" my face fell for the pet name, what if my mom saw it, she will think her daughter as found her one and only yet all I've found was nothing but the devil himself. Why is the moon goddess so cruel to me?

"You are to do as I tell you," he smirked evily shaking his stupid phone in my face, rubbing it all in my face. "Remember what you've promised."

Never in my life had I ever felt so helpless and humiliated as I felt at that moment. I was struggling to keep my emotions in check.

I waited for the douchebag to leave and get into the school's main doors, I waved my fist in his direction. How foolish of me, as if this could take all the rage I felt inside me away. I felt trapped like I was in a bird box.

As my fist fell, my body seemed to lose strength along with it. My head hung down powerlessly, my shoulders slumping in defeat. I felt like I'd been punched in the gut, all the air sucked out of me.

"Why did I agree to this?" I whispered to myself, feeling like I had made the hugest mistake of my life.

"Nixx," I called to my wolf hoping she would cormfort me, she always had ways of giving me support and advise in times when I so needed it.

"What have I done?" I asked her, my mind racing with worries about the future.

"Don't worry, Haven," she said. "I've already connected with Lykon through the mate bond."

"Whose Lykon?" I questioned as the name seemed so foreign in my ears.

"Silly you," I could imagine Nixx's big smile as she talked. "Lykon is Aamon's wolf, he's very nice and super handsome just like Aamon, he told me that Aamon likes you, and I think this could be a good thing."

Well! I was now starting to regret all the trust I had put in my wolf, here she was talking dreamily like a love sick puppy over the person that just blackmailed me.

"We are supposed to hate Aamon not like him" I scolded her.

"Trust me babe, Aamon isn't as bad as you think," my wolf replied. "And who knows, maybe this is fate's way of bringing you two together. You should accept it, this is what the moon goddess chose for you."

I shook my head, trying to clear the cobwebs Nixx was starting to put in my head. "I don't know, Nixx This feels wrong."

But she just chuckled, "Trust me, Haven I know what I'm talking about. Just accept fate and see where it takes you."

I sighed in resignation, no one can ever win an argument with my wolf, so the best thing I had to do was to ignore this all. And act like none of it was happening.

I was packing up my things, ready to head home early after a long day of classes. This must have been the longest werewolf history lecture ever. My phone vibrated, I hesitated for a moment before pulling it out, already knowing who it was.

"My other half!" I read out disgustingly.

"Bring me water, hockey field, now!"

I rolled my eyes, at his rudeness, he could have said a hello atleast. It seems I was now his personal servant. That douchebag. If only there was a way I could get out of this agreement we made. I was now forced the do everything he asked me so he could keep my secret, I regretted the day I wrote the very first chapter of my erotic novels. I wouldn't be in all this mess right now, if only I had kept my imagination to myself.

But now it was too late, plus I didn't regret so much since I really liked what I was doing. It had become a hobby for me, the only thing I truly enjoyed but this fool was ruining it for me.

"Fine, am bringing it," I typed out a quick reply before heading to the canteen to buy Mr. Jerk face a bottle of water.

I had no choice but to be at his beck and call. I had to keep up my end of the bargain, no matter how much I didn't want to.

As I walked towards the hockey field, I couldn't help but get captivated by the game a little. Or more so because of the duel that was happening.

"Just look at the skills both the young Alphas Aamon and Ryder are bringing?" I heard the MC's voice from the speakers.

I watched from the sidelines as Aamon and Ryder clashed on the ice, their hockey sticks flying as they battled for control of the puck. The crowd cheered and chanted, drawn in by the intensity these two were bringing to the game.

"Matt, may I remind you that Blackwood was the youngest ever werewolf to enter the hockey field, he started playing at four."

"Ohhh! Did you see that?" One Mc asked the other. "Blackwood just slammed the striker of Winter wolves Ryder Glacier, straight into the barrier."

I was amazed at how Aamon managed to throw Ryder on the ground, they were both so ....

My mind was interupted by a group of girls that surrounded me, they all had their eyes on Aamon and Ryder, what suprised me was that I had never seen them on campus before, they must have been from another University.

"Oh my gosh, Aamon is so hot!" one of them squealed. "I know, right? And Ryder's abs are amazing!"

"I wish Aamon would just let me lick the sweat off his abs, after the game. I would so gladly do it," another moaned loudly.

I rolled my eyes, uninterested in their conversation. I just wanted to deliver the water and leave as soon as possible.

But as the game ended and Aamon strode towards me, I felt a flutter in my chest. He was grinning, his eyes sparkling like two bright jewels twinkling in the light, his smile was like a beam of sunlight, so enchanting for some reason I found myself becoming captive to it.

You are a lifesaver," he said taking the bottle from me.

I shrugged, trying to play it cool. "No problem. I just wanted to get it over with."

He chuckled before opening his lips like he was going to say something, just then a group of uni girls caught his attention, asking for photographs, autographs and hugs, I could tell some wanted more though, it was never hard for me to notice a slut most especially because I wrote so many times about them in my erotic novels.

I took advantage of the distraction to make my escape, but Aamon's voice called out behind me. "Hey, Haven, where do you think you're going, am not done with you yet."

Aamon's voice sent shivers down my spine. I knew that tone, there was a hint of pure evil in it. I didn't dare look back, fearing what I might see.

But I had to.

I had no choice!
