Chapter 1

They say slow seduction lingers longer but I crave the kind that hits fast and leaves you breathless.

The kind where your lips hover just close enough to burn, and my fingers trace your skin like they already know the way.

There's no pretense or pause between us. Just two people who know what they want, and aren't afraid to take it.

Seduction in any form? I welcome it but the bold kind? That’s my favorite.

But that wasn't the dilemma I was faced with. I could call it my lucky day but I wanted to escape from this one.

I had always watched Maya from her office glass door wanting what I was never supposed to want. Maya was my cold, ruthless boss and my brother's wife. A woman with confidence, who ruled the boardroom with a glare and gave loyalty to no one except family, especially to her husband Carlos.

I watched her everyday and I tried to stop but it was the way she looked at me when no one else was around, it got me thinking that she wanted what I wanted. It wasn't sweet. It was filthy.

Do you know what it feels like to have the wrong feelings for the wrong person? What it feels like to have an undeniable attraction for someone you should call family.

Now do you know how it feels like to stay away from that person to ensure that the attraction and lust dies?

And then you walk into her office and you lay your eyes on that person, she is half naked, her legs spread on the table and a dildo is buried in her pussy? And she is looking right at me.

Just at that moment setting my eyes on Maya and she's having an orgasm in front of me. This single sight brings every feeling that I have been trying to fight back.

I could feel all that attraction and lust rushing into me.

“Ma'am” the word came shabbishly as I stood by the door.

“I…I came to drop the files”, I turned back to leave.

“Don't go, shut the door and come closer.”

She stood and walked close to me with her half buttoned shirt. Her boobs were a perfect set as I gazed at it.

“What you saw, it's really nothing but we can share a little secret. Can't we?” She asked softly as she put her finger trying to unhook the buttons of my skirt from its hole

I nodded to affirmation.

“I see the way you looked at me”

I shouldn’t be here. That truth echoed in my head, loud and unforgiving, but my body refused to listen. I had said those words too many times already and each time, they meant less.

Maya didn’t rush me. That was the most dangerous part of her.

She tilted her head slightly, studying me the way she did during meetings when someone thought they were winning. Her eyes lingered on my face, then dipped lower, slow enough to make my pulse stutter.

“You’re shaking,” she said, not unkindly. Observant. Certain.

“I’m not,” I replied too quickly.

She smiled small, knowing and stepped closer until the space between us disappeared. I could feel her without her touching me. The Heat. Authority. Control. It wrapped around my thoughts, made everything else fade.

“You’ve always been very good at lying to yourself,” she murmured.

My breath caught. I hated that she was right.

I kept my hands at my sides, fists clenched, nails biting into my palms as if pain could anchor me to sense.

Carlos’ face flashed in my mind. Family dinners. Laughter. The word wrong tried to rise again, but Maya’s presence drowned it out.

“This stops now,” I said, though my voice lacked conviction. “You’re my boss. And my…”

“Family?” She finished softly. “Is that what you tell yourself when you can’t sleep?”

Her fingers brushed the back of my hand.

I should have pulled away.

Instead, my fingers loosened.

Maya leaned in, her voice dropping to a whisper meant only for me. “You think I haven’t noticed the way you look at me? The way you freeze when I’m near? You don’t hide it as well as you think, Kliner.”

Shame and desire twisted together inside my chest until I couldn’t tell them apart. Every instinct screamed for distance, yet my body betrayed me, leaning forward just slightly enough for her to notice.

She did.

Her lips hovered close to my ear, not touching. Never touching.

“This doesn’t have to mean anything,” she said. “Some moments exist just because they want to.”

I swallowed hard. My heart pounded so loudly I was sure she could hear it.

“Maya…,” I started, but my words failed me.

She stepped back then, giving me space I hadn’t realized I needed and somehow that was worse. Her gaze never left mine as she moved toward her desk, resting her hands against it like she owned the world and everyone in it.

“You can walk out,” she said calmly. “Right now.”

Silence stretched between us, thick and unbearable.

“If you do,” she continued, “we go back to pretending and denying what we feel for each other”

My feet didn’t move.

Her eyes darkened not with triumph, but something deeper. Satisfaction mixed with restraint. She came toward me again, stopping just short of contact.

“But if you stay,” she said, lowering her voice, “you accept that this changes things. There’s no innocence left after this.”

I was hard on and I really wanted to stay. My breath trembled as I met her gaze. I knew this wasn’t about attraction alone. It was about power. Choice. Crossing a line I could never uncross.

“I don’t know how to stop wanting this,” I admitted.

Maya’s expression softened, just for a second. “Neither do I.”

She reached for me then slow, deliberate and before her fingers could close around mine

The door handle turned.

The sound was sharp, sudden, real.

Maya froze.

My heart slammed into my ribs as the door began to open.
