Came Back To Find My Wife With A Husband
Chapter 2
However, Yulia remained in the room, unmoved. It was as if my welfare had nothing to do with her. I could not understand why Yulia was with Zayn again.
Zayn was Yulia’s neighbor who had grown up with her. They were childhood sweethearts.
They were close, having spent a lot of time playing with each other from a young age. Even their parents joked that they would become a couple once they grew up.
When Yulia was in college, she flew to another city to meet Zayn to confess her love for him. She also brought along the sports shoes that she had bought with all of her savings.
However, she saw Zayn hugging a rich young woman in college the moment she stepped into the college.
Zayn had looked at the gift in Yulia’s hands contemptuously.
“You’d better keep this low-class trash for a beggar.” The rich woman had mocked Yulia.
“How could you seduce my man?”
Ashamed, Yulia left in a panic. She did not look to see where she was going. When she rushed to the road, a motorbike knocked her down.
A car was about to run over her as the driver had failed to brake the car in time.
I happened to be passing by. I jumped out of the car and pulled her back, saving her and risking my safety.
She had grabbed my hand and told me how much she loved Zayn. She cried and complained to me about the pain of being lied to.
Her passion for Zayn moved me. I thought she was a loyal and passionate woman. I also assumed that I would be her only love since I had rescued her.
But later, I realized that it was just wishful thinking. I had flattered myself.
Yulia had been betrayed and abandoned. It was unforgettable for her. Later, the same experience dawned on me.
I weakly leaned against the door.
After a while, Yulia opened the door impatiently.
“You’re shameless! How could you refuse to leave?!”
My pale lips trembled as I grabbed her trouser leg.
“At least, you should explain to me about what’s going on between you and Zayn…”
Yulia withdrew her leg contemptuously.
“Come to the company tomorrow if you want to get to the bottom of it. You’ll know by then.”
After being treated at the hospital for a night, I went to the company early in the morning, exhausted.
But my appearance filled the employees of the company with hatred. It was odd, as they had respected me very much in the past.
“How could Miss Coleman let this man come back? She’s too kind.”
“If I were her, I would have long gotten him killed. He’s shameless.”
Those employees expressed their disdain for me in front of me.
I coldly interrogated them. “What do you mean by that? Make it clear. I’m not shameless. It’s all because of me that this company is this great now. Why can’t I come back?”
A friend of mine who had once worked hard with me scolded me harshly.
“You fooled around with those foreigners abroad and revealed confidential information about the company. Everyone knows now. Miss Coleman nearly went bankrupt because of you. Bad people like you should get sick and die abroad.”
When the others noticed the senior figure of the company rebuking me, they echoed his words.
“If Mr. Little hadn’t helped Miss Coleman in that critical moment, we would have all lost our jobs! And now, they have a kid. But you came back to live off Miss Coleman again!”
Everyone kept raising their criticisms.
I became flabbergasted and could not process what I had heard. I could not understand their words. I had never given up the company’s confidential information or tried to ruin Yulia. Instead, I had tried my very best to work hard for the company abroad.
But their words gave me a sudden realization.
I wondered if Yulia had something to do with the project information being stolen.
“If it weren’t for Mr. Little’s proposal that helped to pacify the significant client abroad, we would have been doomed!”
Those words helped to confirm that Yulia was the mastermind behind it. But before I could defend myself, my former friend raised a cup of coffee and splashed it on my face.
The deep humiliation made my blood boil. I fought back by punching him.
Then, I heard Yulia’s roar…
