Chapter 4

The sound of her falling appeared to have jolted them out of their sleep. Carvin Levis entered her room before she had a chance to kick him out.

She hurriedly locked the door behind her. "How are you doing, Eva?" Harley Smith's tired voice could be heard outside the door from a long distance away.

Despite the fact that she intended to inform her father that she had discovered a pervert in her room and wanted to reveal his actual identity in front of everyone, Carvin Levis seized the initiative and pushed her to the ground.

"Do you want your father to be aware of our relationship?" A threat was shouted into her ear, she felt her hands shoved on the sides of her head, and half of his towering body dropped on top of her, producing a highly ambiguous stance.

"We have absolutely nothing! I'm not worried about him finding out!" Eva pushed him away, sprang to her feet, and dashed to the door, but her clothing were grabbed from behind her by the man behind her.

As soon as her back came into contact with the heat of his whole chamber, his hands reached out to embrace her. "You scoundrel!"

she said as she saw he was attempting to cover her lips. Carvin Levis, on the other hand, did not assault her lips, but rather the flimsy blouse that covered her whole body. It took him just a split second to seize the two skirts in front of her with his two large hands and tear them apart fiercely, revealing her white lace garments and shallow ditch lines underneath them. "Does it sound all right?"

He stated this with a sly grin before pulling her shoulder and standing directly opposite her. He didn't say anything to her .

Her half cup had two pink buds, which were visible to him from the position of gazing down. Eva was in such a state of embarrassment that she didn't know what to do. He was about to go out the door when he heard Harley Smith inquire at the door, "Eva, Who is it that's in there?"

Before she could respond, he lightly snapped her fingers, and the clothing in front of her began to loosen. Despite her best efforts to shield her face from the light , Carvin Levis quickly clasped her hands behind her as if he had read through her thoughts, forcing her to bear his unblinking gaze. "Eva?"

Harley Smith's anxious voice could be heard once again. Even though she was embarrassed, she was unable to flee from the renegade. Furthermore, he purposefully pushed up the shoulder strap on the right side of her garments before letting go of it completely. He tugged it up and loosen it again and again, laughing as pink markings appeared on her delicate skin as a result of his  actions.

"I'm  good .. I had just finished a phone conversation with some of my classmates. Please accept my apologies for disturbing you. I'll try to keep my tone down." She lied to cover her tracks.

Carvin Levis grinned and wrapped the shirt for her, When she heard that her father had returned to the room and locked the door, she felt a bit comforted and turned to face the rascal in front of her, asking,

"What's the matter with you?"

He didn't respond and instead inquired, "What happened to your bag? When you got out of bed in the morning, I saw you for carried it with my own eyes." Immediately, Eva realized that she was desperate to get away from Ervin Black.

Due to the fact that she did not have time to return upstairs to grab her luggage, she had to act as if nothing had occurred and say, "I put it on the company. What? Want to get a new one for your sister?"

She deliberately emphasize the tone of the word "sister" in the hope that he would identify their relations. 'If you wish, I'm prepared to live on a shoestring budget and purchase it for you.'

The way he looked into her eyes made it seem like he was swearing an oath of allegiance. Even though she was nearly moved by him, Eva became enraged at the notion of her unkempt look and turned her back on him,,

"I'm exhausted and would want to rest. Get out." Carvin Levis continued on dragging her body, gripping her chin, and stared at her,

"I'm not going to let you go."

"Presumptuous! I'm your sister!" She slapped his palm hard, attempting to mask her feelings of guilt with rage.

"Despite the fact that I was waiting from 10 o'clock to 12 o'clock, and then again till today at 4 o'clock, you were were hanging out with many guys. " He was likewise in a bad mood. Over the course of her four years at college, she never returned home after dark. But she just graduated and hang out with other guys!

To the Dark Moon Pack, I wasn't just invisible; I was a stain. Dean Lee, the Alpha designed for my soul, treated me like a shameful secret while he paraded his mistress, Karina, in red silk. The night of the Charity Auction, Dean bought my late mother's moonstone pendant—the only thing I had left of her—for a hundred thousand dollars. I begged him for it. Instead, he clasped it around Karina's ankle. With a cruel laugh, Karina stomped her stiletto heel, crushing the moonstone into dust. Dean just watched, his eyes cold and unfeeling. "It was just a cheap rock," he said. "I'll buy you diamonds." But the cruelty didn't stop at emotional torture. When rogues attacked, Dean used me as live bait to distract them from Karina. He threw me into the Blood Pit, a gladiator arena, to fight a massive Feral wolf while he sat in the VIP box with Karina on his lap. "She won't last three minutes," I heard him say through our dying bond. He watched with bored detachment as I was ripped apart, refusing to save me even as I screamed his name. He saved the mistress and drowned the mate. I died on that arena floor. Or so he thought. Years later, the mysterious and world-renowned artist "H.Y." returned to New York for a gallery opening. When Dean saw me on stage, he rushed forward, tears streaming down his face, trying to claim the wife he had mourned. "Hayley," he choked out, reaching for me. "You're alive. You're mine." I didn't cry. I didn't run. I unleashed a shockwave of ancient White Wolf energy that blasted him across the room, shattering the glass displays. "I don't take orders from dogs anymore," I said, looking down at him. "I, Hayley York, hereby reject you."

You will raise it as your own. It is the price of the Peace Treaty." He forced me to cancel our engagement photos so he could take them with her. He took her on the vacation meant for our honeymoon. At dinner, he ordered me the seafood risotto, completely forgetting my deadly shellfish allergy, while fussing over Isobel’s water temperature. When I tried to leave, he cornered me. "You are a mob wife, Nina. Act like one. She is the hero who saved me." I wanted to laugh. Because five years ago, in that alley, Isobel wasn't even there. I was the one in the mask. "How can you smile like that when neither of your fathers are here at your own wedding reception?" Pond asked, eyeing Dunk, who stood in the gallery, smiling towards his newly-wedded husband. Dunk's smile didn't waver, but his eyes darkened. He turned to Pond, voice sharp, "Do you think I don't care? That I'd go against them on purpose?" Pond responded without hesitation, "Aren't you doing exactly that?" "No, I'm not," Dunk snapped. His voice dropped lower, colder. "I'm standing here for my pride-the same pride he crushed. I'm not a child who goes crying to his parents. He destroyed me, P'Pond. Now it's my turn. I'm going to destroy his life-completely." Pond looked shaken. "You can't marry someone for revenge, Dunk. I told you-I'm here for you. I'll never let anyone from the Guthithanan family hurt you again." Dunk's voice cracked as he exploded, "But he crossed the line that night!" He scanned the room and quickly pulled Pond into a quieter corner. His voice was low and furious. "He shattered everything I had. And now, with this marriage, I'm going to make him live with the consequences. He's trapped with me now-forever. I won't let him walk away so easily." His gaze flicked across the room-directly to Joong, who stood beside Sarawat, calmly speaking to a business partner. Joong caught Dunk's stare and instinctively looked his way. Dunk raised his champagne glass with a mocking smile. A toast to war. Joong clenched his jaw, returning the gesture coolly-but his burning eyes slid to Pond, full of rage and warning.
