I recoiled sharply and shot Jeff and Gianna a warning look. "Your dad, Owen Reed, begged me to sign this contract. If you dare lay a finger on me, Luxara Corporation will go bankrupt tomorrow."

Starting half a year ago, Owen, the chairman of Luxara Corporation, had been trying to reach me by every possible means. He wanted to persuade me to invest in Luxara Corporation.

After investigating, I found that Luxara Corporation was poorly managed and had long teetered on the brink of bankruptcy. Miller Group had no reason to invest in them, but Owen showed up outside Miller Group's building every single day, putting on a pitiful act.

I thought his presence was an eyesore, so I threw two million dollars into Luxara Corporation without much thought. To my surprise, the company managed to stay afloat with that money. Only then did I start to take an interest.

Three months ago, Owen returned to Miller Group, claiming he had a hundred-million-dollar deal that he wanted me to invest in. After three months of evaluation, I finally signed this hundred-million-dollar contract with Luxara Corporation today.

My earlier words weren't just for self-protection. They were also a warning to Gianna.

Unfortunately, she didn't pick up on it at all and just assumed I was bluffing. She laughed and said, "You think you can make Luxara go bankrupt? Who do you think you are? My dad told me he just closed a major deal that could grow Luxara several times over.

"Not to mention that we have the backing of Miller Group. Who do you think you are to threaten me? Get this straight—you need Luxara, not the other way around. It's just a measly hundred-million-dollar contract. So what if I tear it up right now?"

I was amused by her ignorance. "So what? A contract worth over one hundred million dollars carries massive penalties. You couldn't pay them even if you sold everything you own."

Gianna didn't flinch at all. Instead, she gave me a provocative look. "People can't grasp what's beyond their understanding. To someone like you, penalty fees might seem more important than your life. But to wealthy people like us, they're just a drop in the bucket.

"With Miller Group backing us, Luxara could easily cover a few hundred million in penalties. But if you lose a deal this big, I doubt someone who makes a living as a mistress like you could handle the consequences."

I narrowed my eyes instantly. "So, you're saying that you're going to void this deal on your dad's behalf?"

She acted as if she had something on me and spoke with feigned generosity, "Alright, I won't make things difficult for you. I can give the contract back, but we can't ignore the fact that you're a homewrecker.

"Since you love being a cheap slut and seducing married men so much, why don't you strip naked and show everyone exactly how you seduced my dad to land this deal?

"You'd better hurry up. My dad is in a great mood after landing that massive deal, and he's coming to pick me up soon to go to a hot spring hotel. If he finds out that you've been behaving so disgracefully, you might even lose your job as a mistress."

Gianna's words sent the onlookers into a frenzy.

"Strip! Strip!"

"Stop acting innocent. You're already involved with an old man."

Someone even started a live stream on the spot. "Might as well get an eyeful. Here's a little treat for the people."

My expression darkened completely. "Go ahead and tear it up if you want. After all, I won't be the one bawling my eyes out when this is all over."

I was genuinely curious to see Owen's face when he arrived and realized that the contract he had spent three months humbling himself to get had been destroyed by his own daughter.

Gianna sneered. "So you want to do this the hard way? Since you love putting on an act so much, I'll let you have your fill!"

She grabbed the contract with both hands and made to tear it in half.

Suddenly, a furious shout rang out from the direction of the entrance, "Stop!"

Startled, Gianna's hand jerked, and she unintentionally applied more force. In the next second, the contract tore right down the middle.
