Madelyn Lynch, a Delta of the Silver Moon Pack, was known as the quintessential good girl in her social circles, with her most daring act being a clandestine relationship with the Alpha of the rival Crimson Fang Pack for three years. In the back of a luxury car, Westley Nichols would undress her while remaining fully clothed, his phone recording nearby. His lips traced her collarbone, sending shivers down her spine and leaving a trail of kisses. "Westley..." she murmured softly, her voice gentle, "Could you... please stop filming?" Alpha Nichols paused for a moment before chuckling. He lifted his head, his dark eyes reflecting her face with a mix of fondness and mischief. "What’s the matter? Feeling a bit camera shy?" he teased. "Don't worry, these are just for me. I like to watch them when I miss you, sweetheart.

Betrayed by the Alpha's Mate Chapter 1

Madelyn Lynch, a Delta of the Silver Moon Pack, was known as the quintessential good girl in her social circles, with her most daring act being a clandestine relationship with the Alpha of the rival Crimson Fang Pack for three years. In the back of a luxury car, Westley Nichols would undress her while remaining fully clothed, his phone recording nearby. His lips traced her collarbone, sending shivers down her spine and leaving a trail of kisses.

"Westley..." she murmured softly, her voice gentle, "Could you... please stop filming?"

Alpha Nichols paused for a moment before chuckling. He lifted his head, his dark eyes reflecting her face with a mix of fondness and mischief. "What’s the matter? Feeling a bit camera shy?" he teased. "Don't worry, these are just for me. I like to watch them when I miss you, sweetheart. Humor me, okay?"

The way he called her "sweetheart" made Madelyn's ears burn, and she felt unable to refuse him. His kiss resumed with undeniable intensity, slowly eroding her rationality.

Inside the car, the heat was rising. Westley's movements became more passionate, almost as if he wanted to imprint her into his very being. Madelyn's breath quickened, her fingers instinctively gripping his shoulders.

It was unclear how long had passed before the car stopped vibrating, and everything finally came to a halt. Madelyn, having just reached a peak of pleasure, sat there feeling utterly spent.

Alpha Nichols casually fastened his belt, glanced down at her, and gently ruffled her hair. "I have a pack gathering to attend later. I'll have the driver take you home first and I'll join you later, okay?"

Madelyn nodded, her voice still soft. "Okay."

After Westley left the car, Madelyn dressed, still feeling somewhat dazed. She was about to ask the driver to take her home when she suddenly noticed Alpha Nichols' wallet left on the seat. Grabbing it quickly, she opened the car door and hurried after him.

Upon discovering the location of the gathering, she approached the suite's door. It was slightly open, and just as Madelyn was about to enter, she heard a burst of laughter from inside.

"Alpha Nichols, that was quite a scene. When I walked in, I saw the whole car shaking. What do you think the future Alpha of Silver Moon would do if he knew his sister was so wild with you?" someone joked.

Madelyn's mind went blank, her whole body freezing in place as if struck by lightning.

Laughter echoed through the room. "Come on, Alpha Nichols and the future Alpha of Silver Moon have been rivals for years; the nickname 'North-South Rivalry' isn't just for show. It's only fitting that Alpha Nichols orchestrated a 'rescue' and won over the future Alpha's sister."

"How long has it been now? You must have made over a hundred videos by now. When will you release them? I can’t wait to see the good girl beneath you. And of course, I'm even more eager to see the future Alpha's reaction," someone else chimed in.

The guests were too engrossed in their banter to notice someone standing outside. Madelyn's mind was a whirlwind, the buzzing in her ears growing louder with every mocking word.

Westley... had he engineered their first encounter? Was dating her just a scheme against her brother?

"Alpha Nichols, why aren't you saying anything? You only got close to Madelyn to mess with the future Alpha, right? Surely, you haven't actually fallen for his sister?" another voice prodded.

"Fallen for her?" The man who had just called her "sweetheart" now sat lazily sipping his drink, his lips curling into a mocking grin. "The future Alpha is my sworn enemy. I just want to ruin him. I'm contemplating the best time to release those videos. Maybe on Madelyn's birthday. The future Alpha's expression will be priceless."

"Way to go, Alpha Nichols!" the group laughed, their voices filled with excitement and anticipation.

Madelyn's fingers trembled, barely able to support her.

Suddenly, a waiter spoke beside her, "Miss, are you going in?"

Madelyn snapped back to reality, hurriedly handing him the wallet. "No, I’m not going in. Please give this to Alpha Nichols and let him know it was found. Don’t mention I was here."

With that, she turned and ran, tears streaming down her face as Westley's cold words echoed relentlessly in her mind—"The future Alpha is my sworn enemy. I just want to ruin him."

Her heart felt like it was being squeezed by an invisible hand, the pain making it hard to breathe. She realized that their entire relationship had been orchestrated by him from the very start.

Years ago, Madelyn had defied her brother's wishes to attend a university in New York because it had the top dance program in the country. After graduating, she was determined to stay, despite her brother's pleas for her to return home to Connecticut, driven by her parents’ and brother’s overprotective love. She wanted to carve out her own path.

Her passion for dance consumed her until she met Westley Nichols, the Alpha of Crimson Fang Pack, her brother's infamous rival, rumored to be constantly competing with Iker in business deals and territory, their rivalry unwavering.

Yet, this very man had saved her twice. The first time, after a hit-and-run accident, he had found her bleeding and rushed her to the hospital, a true lifesaver. The second, when drugged and nearly assaulted, he had rescued her again, becoming her antidote that night.

The next morning, she awoke to see him fastening his shirt by the window. He turned at the sound, his charming smile stealing her breath. He leaned in, teasingly, "Ever since we first met, I've wanted to ask, little sister, do you like me?"

Her mind went blank; his handsomeness left her speechless. He smirked, "Not like me? Then why blush every time you see me? You even kissed me this morning, and I remember the effects of the drug were gone."

Her embarrassment made her want to flee, but he pulled her back, kissing her gently. After that day, they were a couple.

For three years, she believed they were in love, often dreaming of bringing him home to meet her brother, hoping to reconcile their differences. Looking back now, she realized how naive she had been.

She ran without knowing how far, rain soaking her as her phone rang. It was her brother, Iker Lynch, the future Alpha of Silver Moon Pack, calling. Taking a deep breath, she answered.

"Madelyn, I've set up a large dance studio for you back home and found a mate for you. Please, break up with the man you're seeing now. You know mom and dad don't want you to mate far away; they just want you close by, here with us..."

Hearing his familiar voice, Madelyn’s tears fell even harder. She stifled a sob and nodded.

"I'm sorry for worrying you all these years. I’ll return, and I’ll meet the mate you found for me."

The champagne in my glass was vintage Dom Pérignon, crisp and biting against my tongue, but the air in the ballroom tasted stale. It was the specific staleness of old money and desperate ambition mixing under the heat of a thousand crystal chandeliers. The Starlight Charity Gala was in full swing, a sea of black tuxedos and designer gowns swirling through the cavernous hall of the Pierre Hotel. I stood near the periphery, away from the frenetic energy of the dance floor. My fingers idly traced the rim of the flute. I wasn't hiding, exactly. I was observing. Three years ago, crowds like this would have made my heart hammer against my ribs like a trapped bird. Now, I just felt a quiet, observant calm. I adjusted the silk of my gown—a deep midnight blue that Adrian had selected because he said it matched the quiet storm in my eyes.

I worked three double shifts at the garage just to buy a velvet-boxed cake for my wealthy girlfriend, Arleen. But when I pushed open the VIP room door, I saw her lover kissing her bare leg. She didn't push him away. Instead, she laughed and swirled her martini. "I only forgot Finn because I knew he would stay. He is a poor boy from Queens who follows me around like a loyal dog." Later that night, her lover intentionally crashed a Porsche to scare me, sending a piece of jagged metal into my skull. Lying in a growing pool of my own blood, I watched Arleen crawl out of the wreckage. She didn't even look at me. She threw herself at her uninjured lover, screaming for a medic. "He just got scraped by a piece of plastic. He is faking it. Deal with Jaquez first!" When I woke up, I wasn't free. Arleen had locked me in a private hospital wing with 24-hour security, planning to isolate me and keep me as her broken, captive toy forever. My blind, pathetic devotion finally froze into absolute disgust. I looked at the heart monitor next to my bed and grabbed an IV needle. I severed the sensor wire to trigger a flatline, slipped out the fire stairs while the nurses panicked, and burned my identity to ashes. This time, I was going to disappear to London, build my own empire, and watch hers burn.

The morning light filtered through our penthouse windows, casting golden patterns across the Egyptian cotton sheets. I stirred slowly, consciousness returning in gentle waves. Seven years. Seven years of what I believed was perfect love. "Happy anniversary, my only one," Gabriel's voice caressed my ear as he entered our bedroom, a silver breakfast tray balanced in his hands. His dark hair was slightly disheveled, giving him that boyish charm that still made my heart flutter. "You didn't have to," I murmured, sitting up against the headboard as the scent of fresh croissants and coffee filled the air. "For you, I want to do everything." He set the tray down and sat beside me, his fingers brushing mine as he handed me a steaming cup. No redness appeared on his skin, no hives, no shortness of breath—just the miracle of his touch, reserved only for me. The condition that had brought us together.

At six in the morning, the penthouse was a hush of pale gray light. The marble under my bare feet was cold. I sat on the edge of the bathtub with the test stick in my hand and watched the second pink line darken until there was no more pretending. Eight weeks. Maybe nine. My thumb found the inside of my left wrist and pressed there. A small habit. A way to hold myself in one piece. I did it without thinking, the way some people pray. I looked up at the mirror across from me.
