Chapter 1

It was the twentieth year of the zombie apocalypse. Resources were scarce, but I still used half of my savings to buy flowers to propose to my girlfriend.

However, she turned around and linked arms with my brother, telling me arrogantly, "You're just a poor loser who stole someone else's superpower. You're not worthy of me. I'm marrying the real owner of the superpower. He's really strong, so get lost, you simp."

I was stunned. The "real owner" she was talking about was my own brother.

He could only use his spatial power because I shared it with him.

Watching them shamelessly mock me in front of other people, I silently unlinked my brother from the superpower sharing system.

Let's see how strong he could be now!

"Jessica, will you marry me?" I got down on one knee, holding a huge bouquet of flowers in one hand and a diamond ring the size of a pigeon's egg in the other.

The crowd cheered.

A big screen played the video of how I raided for supplies in the wild and climbed to the top of the base's leaderboard.

My scarred face looked up, eagerly waiting for my girlfriend of three years, Jessica Bates, to respond.

She took the bouquet and, without warning, smashed it on my head.

Petals fell before my eyes as I staggered and fell to the ground.

Mocking words reached my ears.

"Swain Duncan, you're just a loser who stole someone else's superpower! You really think I would marry you? Stop dreaming! My dad's a member of the base's middle management; my family's rich enough to buy a hundred men like you!"

Jessica turned to the crowd and said indignantly while pointing at me, "Everyone, this is Swain Duncan, a big fat liar! He told me he had spatial power and tricked me into dating him, but he doesn't have any superpower at all!"

The crowd gasped.

Someone in the crowd who had fought alongside me before spoke up, "Wait, that's not right. I've gone out raiding with Swain before. He does have a superpower. We brought back the things we found using his spatial power."

Jessica scoffed. "Swain, you've been lying to everyone all along. The spatial power isn't yours! You stole someone else's power!"

"What?" I widened my eyes in disbelief, and just as I was about to explain, a familiar figure stepped forward.

My younger brother, Chris Duncan, appeared out of nowhere. He put his arm around Jessica's shoulder and yelled at me, "Swain, I know you've always been jealous of my spatial power, but you can't use my power and pretend it's yours! I shared it with you because we're family, but you tried to ruin my relationship with Jessica by pretending it's your superpower."

"That's right, that's right." The woman in his arms cried, leaning against Chris' chest, "The person I've always loved is Chris. He's the one who saved me, not Swain. His teleportation range is as vast as a basketball court. Swain is just a fraud!"

A chill ran down my spine. I clenched my fists, resisting the urge to punch those two in the face.

Chris didn't have a superpower because he had a weak constitution, so I linked my power to him with the superpower sharing system so that he could use my spatial power.

My mother kept saying, what if Chris had an accident? So, I gave him even more permission.

Jessica was someone I accidentally saved. After that, we started dating.

I couldn't believe Chris would seduce my girlfriend behind my back and make me a laughingstock.

"That's nonsense! The spatial power is mine! I shared it with you because you don't have a superpower! You ungrateful scum, you're repaying kindness with evil!"
