Chapter 1

After my elder brother passed away, I took my sister-in-law home.

She and my wife were identical twins. I always mixed them up.

Fortunately, my wife had a red mole on her upper body.

“Wyatt, can you tell my elder sister and me apart?” My wife pestered me while throwing amorous glances my way.

I eyed her fair upper body and replied confidently, “Of course…”

Felix Cole, my elder brother, was dead. I learned of that news seven days after he died.

I hurried back to my hometown with my wife.

I heard that he died of cardioplegia. However, I firmly believed that he had no pre-existing heart condition. I went over the details again and again but always ended up with the same conclusion.

“Wyatt, let’s get Ruby home.” Rose Johnson, my wife, hugged me. “Your brother is dead. How can she live alone in the countryside without a man?”

Complicated feelings gripped me. When I got to know my wife, I learned she had a twin elder sister.

On a whim, I told her that I happened to have a single elder brother. After some time, the twin sisters married my brother and me respectively.

What should Ruby Johnson, my sister-in-law, do, since my brother had passed?

During the funeral service, I drank a lot of wine until dizziness gripped me.

Rose supported me and rubbed her soft skin against my arm from time to time.

“Dear, you’re different today…” I smelled an unfamiliar fragrance. “Why is your upper body larger?”

I secretly pinched her upper body. I could confirm that it was bigger.

Rosiness crept up her face as she threw me a flirtatious gaze. Smiling, she scolded me, “Stop that, darling! There are so many people around.”

After another round of drinking, I was free to sit down to grab a few bites. Subsequently, I grew more sober.

A warm and soft touch crept into my trouser leg under the table and slowly worked its way up.

Shocked, I was soon sober. I pinned down the leg that was doing mischief.

“It’s itchy, darling. Be gentler…” Rose started taking deeper breaths beside me as she breathed on me. The wet sensation stimulated my tense nerves.

Heat gripped my belly and my mind. I gnashed my teeth. “If you don’t stop, I’ll make sure you can’t even leave the bed tomorrow.”

My relatives assumed that this was just playful banter.

“Wyatt, you’re so lovey-dovey with your wife. You guys keep whispering to each other in secret.”

Shyness overcame Rose. She buried her head quietly and returned to the room. She left me to handle the relatives alone.

I scolded them inwardly but tried to act calm and chat with them.

“Hey, Wyatt. It was hard for your sister-in-law to take care of your brother alone for such a long time. You can’t be ungrateful. You should take care of her like she’s your family. Since you’ve earned so much, you should let her have a good time…”

I nodded to express my approval. They did not have to tell me what Ruby had done for Felix all these years. I saw it myself.

After my brother became paralyzed three years ago, Ruby took care of him. Although I suggested getting a caretaker, Ruby was worried. She felt that outsiders could not take care of Felix as attentively as his family could.

At the thought of that, I made up my mind.

I wanted to take Ruby to the city to stay with Rose and me.

After seeing my relatives off, I saw Rose and Ruby sitting at the edge of the bed together and smiling at me.

I went over and hugged my “wife”. “Ruby, come and live with us after my brother’s burial…”

My “sister-in-law” shot me a reproachful look. “Darling, why did you call me by my sister’s name? You still can’t differentiate between us…?”
