Chapter 1

After returning from a business trip, I discovered that my wife had unexpectedly replaced the floor-to-ceiling window in her office with an entire wall of mirrors.

When I questioned her about it, she looked at me with gentle eyes and smiled as she straightened my tie. "This way, when you come to keep me company during overtime, you won't have to fuss over checking your appearance. Don't overthink it. I had the nutritionist prepare some soup to help you recover. Drink it while it's hot."

I found it strange.

She was a career-driven woman who had always complained that my suits made me look too stiff and formal. Yet now, she had suddenly changed her tune.

Still, I did not say anything.

I simply smiled and walked over to the mirror, unscrewing the lid of the thermos.

But the moment the hot steam rose into the air, two large oval-shaped marks slowly emerged on the previously spotless mirror. And in the corner, there was a faint smear of lipstick.

I compared the height with a quick gesture and let out a cold laugh. 'A familiar height of five foot three and a C-cup. Office mirror reflections. How bold and thrilling.'

I pulled out a tissue and calmly wiped the mirror clean before calling my assistant. "Get a renovation crew ready. Tonight, replace the mirror in Ms. Sutton's office with a two-way mirror. And notify the media. Three days from now, I'll be holding a live press conference downstairs."

Cheat Right Under My Nose

After texting my assistant, an emptiness settled in my chest.

Our child was already six years old, and Amanda Sutton and I had been together for eight years. We had weathered storms side by side.

The passion between us may have faded over time, but how could something like this not hurt?

For eight years, Amanda had been recognized as the perfect wife in our circle.

We had been each other's first love, going from school uniforms to wedding vows together. Starting with nothing, we had built the company into what it was today.

If not for that brief moment when the steam fogged up the mirror, I probably would have remained in the dark, still believing she was the kind-hearted woman who would personally make a stew just to ensure I drank something warm.

My phone vibrated.

I glanced down. My assistant had sent me a screenshot from social media.

The post belonged to Connor Lawson, the poor college student I had sponsored years ago. Now, he was Amanda's personal secretary.

The photo showed him standing in the office, taking a mirror selfie. His shirt collar hung open, exposing a sharp collarbone and the faint outline of his abs. There were subtle hickeys around his neck.

The caption read, 'The boss said this mirror belongs exclusively to me from now on.'

I took a deep breath, but my stomach still churned with disgust.

I had sponsored him three years ago. At the time, he had cried while begging me for a chance. He promised he would repay my kindness one day and become a man who could stand tall with pride.

Feeling sorry for him and recognizing some genuine talent, I not only funded his education but also made an exception by offering him an internship at Zeller Inc.

I never imagined this would be how he repaid me. By crawling into my wife's life and becoming a pretty boy living off her support.

Amanda came out of the shower and found me still staring at my phone. Walking over, she wrapped her arms around me from behind. "Honey, what are you looking at so seriously?"

"Nothing. I was just looking at the company's new male secretary. He seems energetic." I said, locking the screen without batting an eyelid and turning to face her.

Amanda's eyes flickered for a split second before she smiled naturally. "You mean Connor? That kid's pretty hardworking. He's strong and efficient, and since you sponsored him, I've looked after him a little more."

"Have you?" I looked at her with a half-smile. "To the extent of picking out his dress shirts?"

Amanda's expression stiffened for a split second, but she quickly regained her composure. "Honey, are you misunderstanding something? On that last business trip, some of my clothes got dirty, and he helped me take them to the dry cleaners. Maybe they got mixed up then. Don't overthink it. You're the only one I love."

She rose onto her toes, trying to kiss me. But I turned my head away and said flatly, "I'm tired. Let's sleep."

Amanda froze for a moment before awkwardly withdrawing her hand. "Alright. Get some rest, then. I'm going to the study to deal with a few emails."

I watched her retreating figure as she practically fled the room, and the coldness in my eyes deepened. 'Deal with emails? More like comforting that sulking puppy.'

Still, I did not expose her. Instead, I texted my lawyer friend.

'Find out everything under Connor Lawson's name, including all of his assets. I also want Amanda's financial records from the past six months. And prepare a divorce agreement for me. As for the terms… I want her to leave with nothing.'

If they wanted to cheat right under my nose, then I would give them exactly what they deserved.
