Chapter 3

Ryan chuckled softly as his hand moved from my face to my lips.

His fingers brushed across my face and made my heart race.

For a moment, the atmosphere was ambiguous.

“Ryan, stop playing around. Let go of me!”

“Miss, are you pretending to be clueless? Since we’re here, we might as well do something fun.”

Before I could respond, Ryan leaned in and kissed me.

His lips were soft, sweet, and warm against mine.

I was not a naive girl, so I knew what was happening. This was not my first kiss either. But somehow, Ryan’s kiss felt completely different.

It was nothing like Austin’s.

Austin always acted confident and proud. He would bite and gnaw my lips whenever he kissed me.

He loved showing me off, and he would parade me in front of others like I was a trophy.

It always felt like he was deliberately trying to humiliate me.

On top of that, he was sloppy and constantly in a disheveled state.

Meanwhile, Ryan was a completely different kind of man. He looked incredibly attractive, like the most exquisite person in the world. He smelled so good too.

“Miss, stop getting distracted.” Ryan chuckled softly as I tried to catch my breath.

He held my face and kissed me gently.

His movements made me feel like I was something precious and fragile.

Gradually, I let my guard down and started kissing him back.

However, something slowly felt off.

His touches grew bolder. He was not just kissing me anymore; his hand began to wander beneath my clothes.

The dress I wore today made it easier for him to slip in.

Yet, strangely enough, he did not undo my buttons.

I opened my eyes and suddenly came to my senses.

“Wait a minute.”

I gave Ryan a light push, but he lost his balance. He fell to the floor and hit his head.

Before I could help him up, he stood on his own and looked hurt.

“Miss, you’re so mean.”

Right then, I realized that Ryan’s eyes were unfocused. He was blind!

No wonder he fell down so easily when I pushed him earlier.

I felt even guiltier. Knowing that I was in the wrong, I lowered my voice and apologized, “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to make you fall.”

However, he came closer and grabbed my waist. “Are you rejecting me just because I’m blind?” he asked in a low, raspy voice.

Oh, my gosh. He looked like he was about to break down.

I instinctively hugged him and said, “No, I’m not.”

My lips still felt numb. Just thinking about what had happened earlier made me blush again.

Ryan held my chin and made me look at him. He appeared stubborn and unyielding.

I sighed and whispered, “I’m just not used to it. After all, it’s our first time meeting.”

Ryan nodded and replied seriously, “It’s okay. I’ll remember you. We’ll meet again.”

My heart beat even faster. I gave him a quick response and slipped out while he was not paying attention.

The music grew loud again, but all I could think about was Ryan’s insanely handsome face.

I still could not fathom how someone could be that good-looking.
