Chapter 7

ABRM07

THIRD PERSON'S POV:-

Benjamin stepped out of the bathroom. A towel was wrapped around his waist, well, it was barely hanging. His eyes fell on Charlotte's perfectly round ass. She was lying on her stomach, on the bed, working on her assignment. Her legs were turned toward the ceiling as she hummed her favorite song. She didn't hear him stepping out of the bathroom. She didn't see him either. She was so focused with her work.

Benjamin licked his lips as his eyes travelled between her legs. He could see her underwear as he skirt rode up when she danced her legs in the air while enjoying the music. His eyes were dark with lust and he felt this urge to get her.

Unaware of the beast she had just untamed. Benjamin slowly walked toward her. His freshly showered body was now covered with cold sweat as the lustful thoughts invaded his mind. Charlotte gasped as Benjamin laid on top of her. The towel that was barely covering up his thighs, unwrapped from his waist and fell on the other side. Benjamin was completely naked on top of Charlotte and she knew it well.

Benjamin wrapped one of his arms around Charlotte's tiny waist and she squirmed underneath him. "What are you doing, Ben?" The surprise was in her voice as she tried to break free from him. But Benjamin wasn't just strong, he had experience in romance. First, he grabbed her hands free from her ears and pulled them off. He then gently wrapped his huge hand around her cylinder neck to tame her.

"Now be a good little kitty and let me hug you." Benjamin whispered in Charlotte's ear seductively, making her shiver beneath him.

"What are you going to do to me?" Benjamin heard a hint of terror in Charlotte's voice. He knew she was not ready to start a romantic relationship with him just yet.

A smile spread across his face as he remembered how his friends used to think that he wouldn't get a virgin to marry him. They thought, by the time he would get ready to marry, Benjamin himself would have slept with all the women in the city. It surprised him the most that he was able to find a pure woman who didn't want Benjamin's money.

"Nothing, silly Tinkerbell. I just had a rough day at work. I know I am going to release some of that pressure with my friends. But I really wanted a hug from you." Benjamin thought, though he knew he couldn't say those words out loud. In his world, being a person who could speak whatever was in his heart, made him a weakling.

Maybe that's what he thought. Because in the eyes of the others, he was not weak at all. In fact, he was strong enough to challenge his father's place in the company. "You should have just said so. You are my husband. It's my responsibility to make you feel better if you had a long day, you know." Benjamin's eyes widened as he heard Charlotte's kind words.

Benjamin's eyes went wide and he even forgot to breathe. What Benjamin believed to be a thought, actually came out louder than he had expected. Benjamin pulled away from Charlotte, and sat up on the bed. With a confused look on his face, Benjamin was staring at Charlotte's face. "What are you talking about?" Benjamin couldn't say if he asked that question himself or if there was a hidden soft person inside of him that was breaking free because of Charlotte.

With a smile on her face, Charlotte placed her hand on Benjamin's chest and pushed him back on the mattress. "I mean, you should have just said it before. I would never say no. Besides, you had a long day, you said it yourself." With those words, Charlotte laid on top of Benjamin, wrapping her arms around his torso.

It felt like Benjamin was breathing again after a long time. He wrapped his arms around Charlotte and hugged her tightly. It never occurred to Benjamin that Charlotte, the proud girl, the same woman who had the guts to slap him, could also be this cute. And Benjamin never thought there would be a woman in this world that would make my heart tickle. "No one can know about this, Tinkerbell. Or I will punish you." Benjamin growled at Benjamin, embarrassed at his own action. The thought that became his voice, he didn't want anyone else to know about it.

Hearing Benjamin's threat, Charlotte only giggled. As if she was not afraid of Benjamin at all. The truth was, Charlotte was not afraid of anything or anyone. "You are my husband. Of course, I would never tell anyone. What happens between us, stays between us." Charlotte's words were the reflection of her wisdom.

Charlotte was wise enough to surprise Benjamin every single time she opened her mouth. And Benjamin couldn't help but admire her more. Benjamin sat up on the bed and cupped Charlotte's face with both of his hands. "Do you have any plans for tonight, Tinkerbell?" Benjamin asked Charlotte in a low tone. He leaned over and placed a soft kiss on Charlotte's forehead.

Charlotte pouted as she turned her face toward the books she had on the bed. "I have a few assignments to finish. I know I have time to finish them, but I don't like leaving it for tomorrow." Charlotte whispered tiredly. Benjamin felt bad for her but at the same time, she was so adorable, he couldn't control himself.

Benjamin pulled Charlotte's face toward him and pecked her cheek. Charlotte didn't squirm or try to push him away. But when Benjamin pulled away from her, he saw her cheeks turning red as tomatoes. Benjamin made her sit back on the bed and he crawled out of the bed. "I am ordering pizza and soda for you. If you need anything else, let me know." Charlotte had a confused look on her face but she didn't ask anything.

"Nope! Pizza and soda are fine." She didn't say no, but Benjamin ordered her ice cream as well.

"I will ask Darell to bring you your food to the bedroom. It's better if you don't go downstairs. I know my mother is trying to get on your nerves." Benjamin whispered as he went toward the closet to change my clothes. Once he was fully dressed, Benjamin stepped out of the closet. He was readjusting his tie when Benjamin heard Charlotte giggling. Raising an eyebrow, Benjamin turned toward Charlotte, making her blush even more.

"What?" Benjamin asked Charlotte in frustration. Hearing his tone, Charlotte giggled more.

"You said you were going out with your friends. And you are wearing a tuxedo." Charlotte found it amusing the way Benjamin had dressed up for a boy's night out. On the other hand, Benjamin was confused as he looked at his reflection in the full view mirror to check if something was actually funny about his dressing.

Benjamin only saw his perfect and elegant reflection. "What's wrong with this? I see, it's perfect and elegant, just as it's expected of me." Benjamin tried to convince himself that he was indeed dressed perfectly.

"You look elegant. But going out with friends, you should be wearing something casual. Not a formal dress to look elegant." Charlotte's words left Benjamin in shock. Then a small smile appeared on his face. He could see that she was finally melting.

"Let me choose a casual pair of clothes for you." Without asking him, Charlotte walked toward the closet. Then her mind reminded her of the relationship. It was still not casual enough for Charlotte to go through his closet without his permission. She halted her steps and turned around. "If it's acceptable for you?" She asked, her eyes glistening with embarrassment.

Benjamin's smile widened and he nodded his head. He didn't want to use his words as he knew Charlotte could be very shy sometimes. Skipping like a little girl, Charlotte went through his whole wardrobe and she finally found a pair of dark blue skinny jeans and a grey v-neck t-shirt. Just as she was about to go back, she found perfect shoes to match his outfit. It was a pair of beige Chelsea boots.

She handed her chosen clothes to Benjamin. He went back into the closet and changed his clothes. He came out with a questioning look on his face. While Charlotte's eyes were sparkling like stars as she saw him. "You look good in casual clothes. You should try these more often."

…………….

The whole night, Benjamin was smiling. Charlotte's compliments were echoing on his ears. He couldn't remember the last time he was this happy. The group of his friends also noticed that. "What's the occasion, Mr LeBlanc? You don't only look different, something feels different about you as well." Greg asked Benjamin as he grabbed his drink and gulped it all down in one go.

Benjamin's smile went wide as he placed down the glass in his hands and looked at his friends. "Things are getting better between me and my wife. She has a strong will. And she is religious. I never thought I would marry a religious woman. Today, she chose my outfit for me." Benjamin was so proud as he told his friends about his wife. While Jonny and Silvester were happy for Benjamin, Greg started laughing hysterically at Benjamin.

A stripper walked up to them. Everyone else didn't even look at the woman but Greg made her sit on his lap. "What really happened to you, man? You used to be a man. Now you are obeying a woman who is supposed to be lying beneath your feet." Greg thought it was funny. To him, the one who could dominate his woman, is a man.

He slapped the stripper's breasts a few times then pushed his hand between her legs. Greg forced the stripper to open her legs wide. The whole club watched as Greg was roughly fingering the woman. Benjamin was suddenly irritated with Greg. Benjamin grabbed Greg's glass and threw the whiskey on Greg's face.

The cold content in the glass splashed on Greg's face and he let go of the stripper out of surprise. "What the fuck is wrong with you? Have you lost your fucking mind?" Greg yelled at Benjamin angrily as he stood up and tried to dust his clothes. Greg was already drunk. Drunk enough to cross all the limits he was not supposed to cross.

"You think of yourself as a man as you dominate a woman in bed. Humiliating a woman doesn't make you a man. It makes you a bully and an asshole." Benjamin growled at Greg through his gritted teeth. At first, Greg was glaring at Benjamin. Then he suddenly started laughing. Benjamin, Johnny and Silvester were staring at Greg in surprise.

"You call yourself a man. Yet you can't even get your wife to spread her legs for you. Or maybe, she is not interested in the tiny thing between your legs. Maybe she misses her boyfriend's dick." Greg was shouting loudly at Benjamin. Benjamin was growling in anger as he heard Greg disrespecting Charlotte in front of him.

Without thinking, Benjamin punched Greg in his face. The punch was hard enough to throw Greg on the ground. Greg tasted something metallic in his mouth. "Get the fuck out of here. I should have done this a long time ago. A psychopath like you doesn't belong with us." Benjamin growled at Greg angrily. The guards of the club walked in and dragged Greg out of the club.

While Greg was being dragged away, he tried to fight the guards but it was no help. "That's all you can do, Benjamin. You don't have guts to make your wife lay in bed with you. You can't even make her obey you. If you were actually a man, she would have let you touch her body." Greg was screaming at Benjamin. It was all rubbish. Yet Benjamin's anger increased as he heard those words.

I sat alone at my long marble dining table, staring at a plate of cold truffle risotto. My husband, Jere, was late again, claiming he was stuck in a "war zone" of a board meeting for a multi-billion dollar merger. A single Instagram notification shattered the silence. It was a photo of a candlelit birthday dinner, featuring a man's hand resting on a white tablecloth. I recognized the slight veins, the jagged scar on the thumb, and the navy-faced Patek Philippe watch I had spent six months tracking down as a wedding gift. Jere wasn't in a boardroom; he was celebrating his ex-girlfriend Irina's birthday while texting me to "don't wait up." The next morning, I followed him to a VIP hospital wing. I watched through a cracked door as my husband cuddled a five-year-old boy and whispered tender promises to Irina. When he came home, he tried to buy my silence with a rare pink diamond bracelet, but I found the receipt: he had bought two identical ones. He had branded his wife and his mistress with matching jewelry, using hidden trackers to keep us both on a leash. When I confronted him, he didn't flinch. He coldly reminded me that he owned my father's massive debts and could send him to prison for insolvency fraud with one phone call. "Stop with the attitude, Deliah," he said. I felt like a ghost haunting my own life, trapped in a gilded cage by the man who paid for my mother's heart surgery while keeping a secret family across town. The humiliation peaked at our rescheduled anniversary dinner when Jere received a text, threw a stack of hundreds at me like I was a stranger, and abandoned me in a crowded restaurant to rush back to her. "Pay the bill," he commanded before walking out. Standing in the wreckage of a shattered crystal vase back at the penthouse, I realized my silence was the only thing keeping his empire standing. I pulled the crumpled divorce papers from my purse and signed my name with a steady hand. I wasn't just walking away; I was calling his sister to help me burn his perfect world to the ground.

The fluorescent lights buzzed overhead as I stared at the proposal on my computer screen, my eyes burning from hours of proofreading. The Sterling Tech subsidiary office had emptied hours ago, leaving me alone with the gentle hum of the air conditioning and the occasional ping from the security guard's desk downstairs. I glanced at my watch—11:43 PM. Michael should have been done with the corporate gala by now. He'd promised to call when it ended at ten, but my phone remained silent, its screen dark and accusatory on my desk. "Just one more page," I whispered to myself, massaging my temples. I'd been doing this for seven years—polishing Michael's presentations, fixing grammatical errors in his proposals, making sure every comma was in place so he could shine in front of the board. Tonight was no different, except for the heaviness in my chest that had been growing over the past few months. I saved the document and sent it to Michael's email, adding a simple note: *All done. Hope the gala went well.* No kiss emoji, no terms of endearment.
