Chapter 88

"Cyrus you can't tell me you're not crying when those are obviously tears! What's going on?" Aria feels like she’s gonna have a panic attack if Cyrus tells her that he realized that he doesn't love him anymore.

But even before she starts panicking, the alpha is quick to cover his hands with his own before pulling him closer to kiss him again on his lips. The kiss is so gentle that it almost makes Aria remember their first kiss.

"Yes, they're tears baby but they're tears of happiness now. It's just that..it's been three years.. A lot of things happened and there are days, weeks and months that I really thought we couldn't make it but I woke up this morning with you here by my side. I just...I don't know, it gets too overwhelming and I'm just really so happy." Cyrus confessed that it made Aria smile back.

Aria smiled fondly at her fated mate. She knows that no matter how they both try to avoid it, the confessions they both made last night when they were making love is more than enough for them to be a reason to fix things between them not only for their own sake but also for their very smart and beautiful pup.

"I am happy too. I also thought I couldn't bear the pain and the days I'm apart from you but I guess Knight was right, we have to move on now. We have our whole lives ahead of us." Aria  replied, her eyes began to produce happy tears as she bumps his forehead into her mate’s.

"I love you so much Aria, moon you have no idea how much I love you." Cyrus uttered before pulling the other into a soft kiss. The two slowly deepen the kiss until they're both all over each other.

Cyrus knows Aria was still sore from the previous evening but the omega is too enticing to pass on so they end up making love over again.

The two were still panting and catching their breaths when Aria’s phone rings.

Cyrus’s inner wolf immediately perks up because he didn’t like the fact that someone else would hear his omega's voice after he just wrecked her.

"Who's calling you this early?" Cyrus can't help but ask and the way Aria raised her brows at him made him regret asking.

"You are my husband Cyrus and not my bookkeeper. It's Knight." Aria replied before she answered the phone.

"Hey Knight, good morning!" Aria  greets the older with a smile even when he knows he can’t  see her.

Knight on the other line can't help but smile upon hearing Aria’s cheerful voice. Felicia already told them that the two probably finally made up.

And decided about their life choices and as the older brother he's just so happy to know that after what they both went through, they're finally getting the peace and happiness they deserve.

"Ria, good morning! You sound so happy." Knight teases the younger.

The omega knows that Knight probably knows that she and his brother already made up so he's not surprised by the teasing anymore.

"I am happy! Got myself a really good pure blood last night." Aria teases back that made the older laugh out loud.

"Oh yeah, that I heard. Actually, I called so I could speak to the said alpha. Can you please put him on the phone?" Knight said, his voice still teasing.

Aria laughs.

She loves how everything between she and Knight turned out.

They both understand now that the protectiveness and fondness Knight felt before was not solely because he liked her but because she’s  his little brother's fated mate.

"Sure, here...Knight wants to talk to you." Aria muttered before passing her phone to Cyrus.

"Hey, what's up?" Cyrus greets his brother with a wide smile while his eyes are still focused on his mate who's now drawing circles on his chest.

"What's up? I swear to Selene , Cyrus, you literally fuck...I mean you both mated in my penthouse!? You could've taken Aria to your place? Or maybe take her back to your own house instead of taking her on every corner of my house!" Knight scolded his brother but his lips immediately broke into a proud smile.

"Knight, who even told you---oh, right! Felicia!" Cyrus blurted out that made Aria blush beside him.

"Right! You polluted the old woman's eyes! But that's beside the point Cyrus! brother you have to hire cleaners to disinfect the penthouse. I'm not coming home until my house is free of your sex scent. Kiana and I are going to stay here at our parent's house so please let me know when you're done cleaning my house...and Cyrus, I'm proud of you bro!" Knight laughs at the end before he ends the call without letting the other respond to his last sentence.

Healing My Seven Broken Beast Mates Novel Cover
9.4
My retirement was finally approved, and I was supposed to be sipping drinks on a sunny beach. Instead, a cold system voice forced me into a nightmare scenario: "Cursed Mates Who Want Me Dead." I woke up in a stinking cave, trapped in the body of a psychopathic tribal princess. The memories that flooded my brain made me sick. The original owner of this body had forcibly marked seven of the continent's most powerful beast-men and reduced them to tortured pets. She had ripped the shimmering scales off Jordi the Merfolk prince, gouged out a proud wolf-man's power crystal, and snapped an eagle-man's magnificent wings. Now, Jordi was a mutilated, terrified mess hiding in a corner. He was so traumatized that he tried to slit his own throat just to escape me. His sister was actively trying to assassinate me. To make matters worse, the system warned me that if I didn't heal these seven ticking time bombs, my soul would be erased. Yet the future timeline clearly showed that these men would eventually unite, burn my tribe to the ground, and dismember me alive. I was paying for a monster's sins. Every time I tried to show mercy, they thought it was a sick new torture method. Words were useless, and my very presence was a trigger. But I am a Tier-S operative, and I don't play the victim. I forced the system to unlock my powers and strapped on my tactical gear. "Stay here and don't starve." I left the trembling Merfolk behind and walked into the deadly primitive forest, heading straight for the powerful Oasis Tribe to take back his stolen scales by force.

Ninety-Nine Times, Then No More Novel Cover
7.3
This was the ninety-ninth time I caught my husband, Chase Vargas, with another woman in our five-year marriage. I stood in the hotel doorway, numb, tired of the cheap perfume and his cold, familiar eyes. But this time, his mistress, a blonde woman, hissed, "He told me all about you. The pathetic wife he's stuck with because of some business deal. He said he can't stand the sight of you." Her words, meant to hurt, were things I already knew, things Chase had made sure I understood. Still, hearing them from a stranger felt like a new humiliation. She lunged, scratching my face, drawing blood. The sting was a surprising jolt in my numb world. I wrote her a check, a routine part of this pathetic scene. Then my phone rang. It was Chase, calling from across the room. "What are you doing? Are you making a scene? Clean it up and get out. You're embarrassing." He thought I had orchestrated this, that I was the embarrassing one. The betrayal was casual, complete. "I'm tired, Chase," I said, the words finally coming from a place I thought had died. "I want a divorce." He laughed, a cruel sound. "A divorce? Elena, don't be ridiculous. You love me too much to ever leave me." I hung up. He then handed me a signed divorce agreement, telling me his true love, June, my adopted sister, was back. He wanted me to play the dutiful wife for her welcome-home concert. My heart, which I thought had turned to stone, felt a final, crushing blow. He wasn't divorcing me because I wanted it. He was divorcing me for her. I signed the papers. The ninety-ninth time was the last time he would do this to me.
