Alpha’s Vow: Reclaiming his lost Luna
Chapter 7
By the time Cyrus and Dylan left their office after searching for Aria it was almost dinner time.
It had been 8 hours since they started following the trace of the omega who vanished three years ago. It was almost 9pm and they still haven’t found her yet.
"Cyrus, you need to go home, Kiana might be up waiting for you." Dylan tried to convince the young alpha again hoping that this time, the disappointed man would finally give up for today.
Cyrus took a sip of his coffee before he turned to look at his cousin.
"How the fuck is she so good at hiding? She was there at the airport. You saw the CCTV footage too. She really came back home and yet she is nowhere to be found." The pure blood alpha was trying so hard not to pull his hair in front of his cousin because that's just so unbecoming.
"Maybe we're just late Cyrus. I'm sure we would find her again besides, what matters is we know she is back. I'm sure she would want to see Kiana again so she would show herself to you eventually unless...your father was right." Dylan trailed off because he knows how sensitive of a subject this was.
Cyrus clenched his jaw upon hearing the possibility that Aria left them due to the reason his father told him 3 years ago when he showed him the divorce paper Kaya left behind.
"Then if that is the case she should not have come back because I would never let her hurt my daughter. I would never let her near Kiana."
Cyrus gritted his teeth. He hates how conflicting everything is in his life right now.
Yoongi shakes his head off.
"I thought you said you were going to remarry today? I guess that was just your wolf talking huh? After all those years, your mark...it hasn't vanished." Dylan said while pointing at the mating mark on his neck that was exposed because he had loosen his tie.
Cyrus unconsciously lifted his hand to touch his mark. It was very uncommon for alpha to carry their mate's mark but because he really loved Aria, he let his omega mark him as well.
Now he is not sure if it is something he should be proud of because he knows their marriage ended Three years ago.
"I actually asked Jamie about this because I'm also confused."
"And what did she say?" Dylan asked.
All wolves know that there are only two reasons why a mating mark will fade or disappear. Death or a Broken Bond
For Aria and Cyrus it should have been the latter for obvious reasons but then the mark on the alpha's neck didn't even fade at all.
"She said to put a concealer on it since it would never fade or vanish as long as I live." Cyrus scoffed as he picked up his phone.
Dylan couldn’t help but laugh the moment he heard the younger's words.
"Of course she would say that. Why did I even ask?!" Dylan replied.
Cyrus glared at the older man who was still smiling at him.
"I'm going home, Alex texted me already. Kiana doesn't want to eat again."
"Go ahead Cyrus. I'll try some more before I head out. Drive safely, I know you sent your driver home again." Dylan said before reaching out for his coffee.
"Thanks and please call me if there are any new developments." Cyrus said before he finally left his office to go home.
Meanwhile in the heart of NYs luxury apartment buildings, Aria is still in awe.
Knight took her to his penthouse. Ever since she learned that Knight was the son of the Prime Minister, she contacted Harris but to no avail, the older hasn't replied yet.
Justin ushered her to her room the moment they arrived there. It had been hours since the alpha left her so she could relax but how could she relax when she feels like she wasn’t supposed to be there.
Everything in the room screamed of luxury and she is just...well, not poor anymore but still the king size bed and even the lampshade in the side table screamed wealth to her.
Aria came back so she could restart her life again. She wanted to be a singer before, she even had a degree in Music since she completed her requirements before she left.
But then with her situation right now, she knows that being a singer was out of the question.
She couldn’t afford to show herself to the world knowing that the demons of her past were still haunting her.
She could not be a singer not anymore but that doesn't mean she would give up on music. She was planning to be a music producer. When she was in New Zealand, she met a producer who was working at Vlending.
The alpha was really so kind to her and even gave her his number so whenever she came back and wanted to work, she could just contact him.
That was her plan for now. She would contact Travis Cromwell and give him some of her work.
She just hoped that the alpha would give her a chance, but if not, she would apply for another job.
Maybe she could work at a bar or restaurant since she already had enough work experience from Harris’s bar in New Zealand.
The omega was deep in thoughts when a knock on the door startled her. She quickly stood up and opened the door knowing that it would most likely be her hosts.
"Aria the dinner is…oh, you have not unpacked yet?" Justin asked when he noticed her luggage still in the middle of the room.
She shyly went back to stand beside her luggage as the alpha followed her inside.
Justin smiled fondly at her before he stepped closer to her and asked.
"Are you uncomfortable here? I could ask Knight to just let you come back with me to my apartment if you think this is too much." the alpha suggested because he could see she seemed uncomfortable.
Aria smiled back at the alpha. She was so thankful that Knight’s assistant was so kind and welcoming to her.
"Justin, thank you so much for being kind to me, you didn’t have to but still you're really so nice. I... actually, I was just really surprised! Harris told me that his friend is really kind and would help me out to start here but he never told me that he's the Prime Minister's only son!" Aria knows
She was blabbering but she just needed to vent or else he would die thinking of the twists and turns in his life and the people she meets.
Justin chuckled.
"Oh, so you don't want to be here because Knight is the Prime Minister's son?" Justin asked, with a mischievous smile painting his lips.
Aria sighed. How could she tell them that she didn’t want to be near anything about politics knowing that the Carter’s her ex- in-laws were in it.
Justin took her silence as a positive answer.
"Well, good thing that Knight is not his father's biggest fan, Aria. There's a bigger chance for you to meet the president instead of Knight’s father. The Prime Minister never sets foot near his son's place so if that is the reason why you're worrying, then you don't have to." Justin explained.
Aria lifted her gaze on hearing that. She was so relieved knowing that she didn’t need to worry about bumping into any of her former family anytime soon.
"Thank you for telling me that, but..." Aria looked around the luxurious bedroom again before her eyes landed on Justin’s expecting eyes.
"Aria, if you're uncomfortable because you're worried that Knight might be someone who takes advantage of people, then please don't. He is the kindest human I've ever met. I am not saying this because I want to convince you to stay with an unmated alpha but I just want you to know that you are safe here." Justin said with a fond smile.
Aria nods at the alpha's words. She didn’t know why but she believed his words. She could also finally feel herself relax now.
"Thank you so much Justin. I really appreciate all the kindness." Aria thanked the older man who's now smiling at her.
"Now if you're ready, can we meet knights in the dining room? He asked the maids to prepare dinner for us and I'm sure he's excited to know more about you too." Justin said before he started walking towards the door.
