Chapter 65

"This  bitch really had the nerve to call me." She murmurs when she sees Alex’s name on her phone screen.

She knows that Knight’s dad has already a lot on his plate so she excused her before answering the phone.

He stood a few meters away from everyone when she heard Alex’s voice on the other line.

"Before you say anything, listen to me, Aria!"

"NO, you motherfucking snake who--"

"I have your daughter. Now shut the fuck up and listen to me! Do not put me on speaker and make sure you don't tell anyone that you are talking to me." Alex said in a very clear voice.

The omega wanted to continue screaming at her but she could clearly hear her daughter's voice in the background so she knows that Alex is telling the truth.

She subtly looked around him and when he saw the Prime Minister talking to his security, she slowly moved away from them again before she spoke on the phone again.

"I swear to Luna  Alex, I'm gonna kill you with---"

"Na ah! nope Aria, that's not how you talk to me when you know that with just a snap of my finger I can literally squish your daughter's heart”

Alex threatened with a sickening laugh

that made Aria fall to the ground.

"Alex no! Please... please not Kiana. My daughter has nothing to do with this. What do you want? Please just tell me what you want, just don't hurt my daughter please." Alex practically begs over the phone.

"That's more like it Riri. Now we're talking! Listen to me, I know you're at the exclusive hospital with the Ashbourne’s. I want you to get out of there, alone. Do not tell anyone that you talked to me and don't even dare tell anyone that you're coming to me if you still want to see your daughter alive. Is that clear?" Alex asked.

Aria had to bite her tongue until she could taste the blood just so she wouldn't scream at the evil alpha whom she thought was her friend.

She knows Alex would probably trick her, or worse kill her once she complies but if that's the only way she could see and protect her daughter then she knows she has to go.

"Okay.. I'm coming but please don't hurt Kiana. Send me the address and--"

"Do you really think I'm stupid? Someone is already waiting for you outside Aria. The black car right in front of the gate of the hospital. Just make sure no one knows you're coming here, especially Cyrus if you still want to see your daughter." Alex said again.

"Alex! C-can I atleast talk to her please?" Aria asked, just in case Alex was just trying to set a trap.

The alpha laughs at the desperation laced on her voice but still, she calls Felicia’s name and lets the clueless little girl talk on the phone.

"Little Princess, can you say hi to the pretty princess? She said she wants to see you again." Alex feigns his annoyingly sweet voice while putting the phone on the innocent girl's ear.

"Oh, hello pwetty pwince! Are you coming to pway with me with Aunty Ri too? can you ask daddy to come here with you too?" the oblivious little girl asked.

Aria almost melted right at that moment. She could not imagine a dangerous Alex was near her daughter at that moment.

"Yes baby.. I'm coming to see you so please stay with Felicia for now okay? Is she there with you? Kiana baby-- hello? hello?" Aria looks at her phone one more time when she couldn’t hear anything.

She was about to dial the number again when she received a new message still coming from Alex.

Alex: YOUR RIDE IS WAITING OUTSIDE.

Aria’s heart was pounding so hard.

She is so nervous but above that fear is her worry for her daughter's life. She just saw her again after three wasted years and she has no plan of adding another year of being apart from her pup.

She subtly looks around again to check if no one's paying attention to her yet. Good thing that Cyrus is still inside the lab test because after taking a blood sample, he would also have to stay a little longer because he needs to give more blood so they could finally continue to remove the other bullet inside Knight’s body.

After the omega makes sure that no one's paying attention to her, she slowly walks towards the elevator. She was already inside and the elevator was about to close when a strong hand suddenly stopped the metal door.

"Where the hell do you think you are going again Thomson?!" Dylan asked, his eyes bloody red because of the emotion he's trying to suppress as he heard Aria’s conversation with the witch.

"Dylan I was just going to buy--"

"Cut the fucking crap! Where the hell do you think are you going to leave without telling my cousin again?!" Dylan gritted his teeth as he entered the elevator too.

The two wolves glare at each other before Aria finally speaks again.

"First of all, you're not even sure that Cyrus is your cousin anymore. I know you heard my conversation with the Prime Minister too! Cyrus might be Knight’s long lost brother!"

Dylan clenches his fist. He heard everything but Aria doesn't need to know anymore that he already knows that Cyrus isn't his real cousin. He knew since he was a kid that something was wrong when he met Cyrus who came back from studying abroad after almost 2 decades.

Aria doesn't need to know that he already had an idea who Cyrus was but since he's scared for the pure blood's life he remains quiet and chose to be by Cyrus’s side quietly so he could protect him from his father.

Dylan is older than Cyrus and so he could still remember how his real cousin looks like when they were just little kids and he's very certain that his real cousin did not have a doe like eyes.

The thing is, Dylan had to keep quiet all those years for his aunt who's Cyrus’s mom and for Cyrus  himself when he realized that Julius was capable of exchanging his own kid with a random kid.

"Aria! You are still not going anywhere without telling Cyrus!" Dylan chose to reply when they both heard the ping of the elevator.

The pure blooded omega was about to get out of the metal box when Dylan grabbed her wrist.

"They will kill you on the spot! Why would you even think they want you there without Cyrus? Aria, it's dangerous!" Dylan almost whisper yelled at her.

The worry and desperation in his eyes and scent are very evident and Aria feels so bad about it but her heart is more worried about her daughter.

"Dylan, they have Kiana! They have my child! Do you really think I would keep still and wait for another call to hear that they already killed my pup because I didn't show up? Dylan please, let me go." Aria begs.

The omega was already crying when she heard another ping on his phone. Another message from her evil ex best friend.

Bitch: YOUR DRIVER IS GETTING BORED NOW.

Dylan snatched the phone and read the message. The alpha's eyes were already blazing red when he saw the one who sent her the message.

"I always knew that goddamn  b*tch was a big snake! She stinks!" Dylan spits before giving back Aria her phone.

"Dylan please, just let me go. Don't tell Cyrus about it and if...if ever something happens to me, please tell them...tell my daughter to forgive me for choosing her and tell Cyrus that--"

"Shut up! Aria, you're not dying! You will have to live so you can Fucking tell them that yourself!"

Dylan said while pocketing his hand when he remembered something.

If Aria can't be stopped from going, then maybe he could follow her.

But because he knows that it would be dangerous for Aria and Kiana the moment Alex learns that someone's following Aria, Dylan quickly thinks of another idea.

He has a tiny tracking device in his pocket but since he knows Aria would  still refuse to get any help from him, he suddenly pretends to hug the omega and subtly pins the little tracking device on the back of her jacket.

"Dylan I'm please---"

"I'm also Fucking serious! I will let you go but make sure you'll live or else Cyru would surely turn the country upside down." Dylan says before letting go of the omega.

"Thank you. Thank you so much." Aria says before finally running towards the black waiting car for her. She was supposed to enter the car when the driver opened the window very slightly.

"Give me your phone."

She didn't ask why  all she wants is to see her pup.

The ugly alpha sitting in the driver seat took her phone only to throw it away before they finally left the hospital.

Healing My Seven Broken Beast Mates Novel Cover
9.4
My retirement was finally approved, and I was supposed to be sipping drinks on a sunny beach. Instead, a cold system voice forced me into a nightmare scenario: "Cursed Mates Who Want Me Dead." I woke up in a stinking cave, trapped in the body of a psychopathic tribal princess. The memories that flooded my brain made me sick. The original owner of this body had forcibly marked seven of the continent's most powerful beast-men and reduced them to tortured pets. She had ripped the shimmering scales off Jordi the Merfolk prince, gouged out a proud wolf-man's power crystal, and snapped an eagle-man's magnificent wings. Now, Jordi was a mutilated, terrified mess hiding in a corner. He was so traumatized that he tried to slit his own throat just to escape me. His sister was actively trying to assassinate me. To make matters worse, the system warned me that if I didn't heal these seven ticking time bombs, my soul would be erased. Yet the future timeline clearly showed that these men would eventually unite, burn my tribe to the ground, and dismember me alive. I was paying for a monster's sins. Every time I tried to show mercy, they thought it was a sick new torture method. Words were useless, and my very presence was a trigger. But I am a Tier-S operative, and I don't play the victim. I forced the system to unlock my powers and strapped on my tactical gear. "Stay here and don't starve." I left the trembling Merfolk behind and walked into the deadly primitive forest, heading straight for the powerful Oasis Tribe to take back his stolen scales by force.

Ninety-Nine Times, Then No More Novel Cover
7.3
This was the ninety-ninth time I caught my husband, Chase Vargas, with another woman in our five-year marriage. I stood in the hotel doorway, numb, tired of the cheap perfume and his cold, familiar eyes. But this time, his mistress, a blonde woman, hissed, "He told me all about you. The pathetic wife he's stuck with because of some business deal. He said he can't stand the sight of you." Her words, meant to hurt, were things I already knew, things Chase had made sure I understood. Still, hearing them from a stranger felt like a new humiliation. She lunged, scratching my face, drawing blood. The sting was a surprising jolt in my numb world. I wrote her a check, a routine part of this pathetic scene. Then my phone rang. It was Chase, calling from across the room. "What are you doing? Are you making a scene? Clean it up and get out. You're embarrassing." He thought I had orchestrated this, that I was the embarrassing one. The betrayal was casual, complete. "I'm tired, Chase," I said, the words finally coming from a place I thought had died. "I want a divorce." He laughed, a cruel sound. "A divorce? Elena, don't be ridiculous. You love me too much to ever leave me." I hung up. He then handed me a signed divorce agreement, telling me his true love, June, my adopted sister, was back. He wanted me to play the dutiful wife for her welcome-home concert. My heart, which I thought had turned to stone, felt a final, crushing blow. He wasn't divorcing me because I wanted it. He was divorcing me for her. I signed the papers. The ninety-ninth time was the last time he would do this to me.
