Chapter 58

RING....RING...RING…

The question of the alpha is interrupted when Felicia’s phone breaks the silence.

The older omega's eyes widened when she saw the caller ID.

"Who is that?" Alex asked, her eyes suspicious again.

Felicia thankful that the alpha momentarily forgot the sound they heard from the second floor.

"It's Mr.Ross. D-do you want to talk to him?" she lied, knowing exactly how the two hated each other from the very first time they met each other.

Alex squinted her eyes as she stared at the woman as if trying to figure out why Dylan Ross would be calling her at that time.

"Answer the call but don't tell him I'm here." Alex warned the older omega.

Felicia swallowed again as she steals a glance of the second floor.

"H-hello Mr Ross." she purposely made her voice louder hoping that Knight would be alarmed.

"Miss.Felicia, whatever happens don't let Kiana out of your sight. I'm already on my way there." Knight said on the other line of the phone. Good thing that he was awake due to broken heart so when he received Felicia’s short message, he quickly grabbed his things and got in his car and drove like a mad man so he could check on them since he knew Cyrus would probably be busy with Aria.

"Yes, Mr.Ross. I'm glad to know that Young master and Kiana are  already there. I could go back to the mansion tomorrow then?" Felicia continues the act in front of Alex.

"Just hang in there. I'll be there soon." Knight replies before he ends the call.

Alex smirks at the older woman, completely believing the show she put on for her.

"Good job Omega, for once you finally had a use for me!" Alex spits before she finally walks out of the door before slamming it close.

Felicia automatically falls to the ground the moment she’s sure that Alex is gone. She even starts to cry and cry while gripping on her phone because she really thought Alex would be able to get her and the little child.

Upon remembering Kiana, Felicia quickly stands up and runs towards Cyrus' door.

She doesn't know how to open the door from the outside but she is sure that the little girl would open the door if she wakes up so she stays beside the door as she starts to type another message, this time she sends it to Cyrus.

Alex was in the lobby of the building when she stops once again.

She calls one of her father's men.

"Make sure to guard this building. Call me immediately when you see someone coming in. That old omega definitely knows something is up." She gritted her teeth before finally leaving the building.

She decided that she would follow Cyrus and Kiana in the morning so the pure blood won't know that she barged into his penthouse and since she already threatened Felicia not to tell anyone she was there.

Knight was about to park his car in front of the building when he spotted Alex.

Good thing that pure blood has clearer eyesight so he saw her immediately.

The pure blood purposely drove past the building just so Alex won't see him either. And when he was sure that the alpha was gone, he grabs his cap and mask before he gets out of his own car.

The pure blood alpha observes the people inside the lobby of the building and he immediately spotted 4 alphas who looked really suspicious to him.

He quickly dialed chicken delivery and waited for the right timing to enter the building.

Thankfully, his plan worked when he saw the 4 alpha swarmed the delivery boy when he arrived.

It only took him a few minutes before he finally knocked on Cyrus’s penthouse.

Felicia who's still on guard, dialed Knight’s number once more to confirm it was him on the door before she opened it.

"Felicia! Oh goodness, thank the Moon for protecting you. How are you? Did she hurt you? Where's Kiana?!" Knight immediately asked, his eyes searching for the little girl but Felicia just pulled him towards the second floor.

"Mr.Ashbourne thank you for coming! Luna knows how I tried my best to protect the little girl, but she's locked inside and I can’t open the door anymore." Felicia confessed.

Knight nods in understanding as he pulls the older omega into a tight and comforting hug.

"Sssssh, it's okay. It's okay. You did well. Thank you so much for doing this." Knight whispers into the older omega's ears while trying his best to produce a more calming scent.

"I was so scared...I thought that evil alpha will get her hand on her. That's why I locked her up inside because I knew they couldn't open the door just in case. It's locked with a code." She pointed to the keypad attached to the door.

"You're amazing. Now I want you to relax so we can get Luna out of the room. Let me try to open this one." Knight says as he removes the cover of the keypad.

He tries to punch in the common patterns but the screen keeps showing him the red screen with DENIED word on it.

"Uhmmm Felicia, what is Luna's birthday?" he asked.

"July 29"

DENIED

"How about Aria’s birthday?"

"December 30" DENIED

"Oh fuck! Please don't tell me he used his own birthday? What is Carter’s birthday?" He asked again, this time a little frustrated.

"September 1 but I don't think he's going to use---"

"Wait, what?! When did you say his  birthday was?" Knight asked again even though he heard it clearly the first time .

"September 1. Why? Is it your birthday too?" Felicia asked, a little confused because of the sudden change in mood of the pure blood.

Knight’s eyes widened as his hands fell into his side.

September 1...the portrait that looks familiar to him No, it's all just a coincidence.

"N-no. It's not my birthday... it's my little brother's birthday." Knight found himself stuttering when he uttered those words.

Felicia’s eyes widened this time too because she thought Knight was the only son of the Prime Minister.

"You have a brother?" she asked just to confirm if he heard him right.

Knight tears his gaze from the portrait before speaking again.

"Believe me, I thought I was the only one... but I think, it's for me to find out again." he whispered, not even sure if he wants Felicia to hear his words because at that moment he's also confused...and maybe, a little happy with the possibility that he just thought while staring at the portrait of the familiar little boy with the large eyes who's staring back at him.

The referee's voice echoed through the underground arena as I stepped into the ring, my hands trembling slightly beneath the taped fists. Two months pregnant—a secret I'd guarded desperately for weeks. The morning sickness had been manageable, but the exhaustion was becoming impossible to hide. George hadn't noticed yet. Or so I thought. "Lucille." George's voice cut through the pre-fight chaos as he approached the corner. My heart leapt at his rare use of my full name. "The Volkov deal hinges on this match. You understand what's at stake." I nodded, swallowing hard. "George, I need to tell you something important—" "Not now." He waved dismissively, his attention already drifting across the room.
