Chapter 6

"DID I NOT TELL YOU TO GIVE HER THE MEDICINE AND SHUT YOUR SHOP DOWN," Gideon couldn't fight down the lividness in his veins once Mr. Harrold maltreated Ophelia. Mr. Harrold hurriedly gulped in fear and handed Ophelia the medicine back. "I'll leave now," Gideon announced, slowly turning towards Ophelia, who was also set to go. Gideon wanted to follow her to make sure she reaches home safely. "You too, shut your shop down now," He glared at Harrold, who sneaked a glimpse of the rain and then anxiously looked around. "It's still raining," he whispered in his mouth, hoping Gideon would give him a pass. "You are not going to melt, if she can walk in rain, so can you. I have not heard that humans melt under the rain," One could tell from the tone Gideon used that he was still pissed at Harrold for mistreating his lover. "Sorry! I'll shut it down then," Harrold wouldn't want to piss him off any further so, he swiftly agreed with his terms. "And I'm taking this," Gideon, before leaving his pharmacy, took his umbrella from the stand. Harrold, as much as he desired to protest, remained silent as his only hope of keeping himself from getting soaked was ripped off from him. Soon Ophelia was on her foot to her home while Gideon walked behind her, his arm pulled all the way to Ophelia and holding an umbrella over her head. "That'd be fine," she saw her house from down and instead of climbing up the steep, she turned around to bid goodbye to her beloved Gideon. "Are you sure you don't want me to pick you up at your house?" he was genuine in his offer but it made Ophelia to giggle sweetly. "Just because I am a human and I'm unable to use my four limbs to walk, doesn't mean I can't climb the mountains and this is just a small steep," she rolled her eyes at him and gently pushed his hand away to make the umbrella rest over his head now. "I know you are capable of much more, but it's not about what you can do, it's about what I want to do for you," He smiled while keeping his eyes on her beautiful face and watching raindrops dripping off her skin. He pulled his hand over her head again, holding the umbrella still. "Well, you truly did a lot today," Ophelia gently shook her face and then batted her eyelashes, very steadying shifting the umbrella back on his head this time. "I want to do much more for you, Ophelia!" His tone soothed her heart. This time, he didn't offer the umbrella, instead, he pulled himself closer to her so that both of them could be under the same umbrella, "Here, give it to Isla, she loves chocolates," He pulled out the biggest bar of chocolate and offered it to Ophelia, who was already swooning over his way of showing his affection to her. She grabbed the chocolate out of his hands and shoved it in her pocket. Her head was lowered as she did so, and when she raised her face up, she found him watching her with unconditional love in his eyes. She shoved his hand to the side, putting the umbrella away from both of their heads, letting the rain wash their faces. She raised her body on her tip toes and brushed her lips against his. He parted his lips and took her lips between his lips to suck the beauty out of them. Their lips rubbed tightly against each other as he deepened the kiss, without touching her anywhere else. Ophelia wanted to be pushed down by him and fu*** harder than ever, but now was not the right time for it as her sister was sick and she was already past her curfew. They broke the kiss in fear of getting caught by anyone as their love was a forbidden tale they were writing. She soon disappeared off his sight and climbed to her house. Gideon waited for a few more minutes and then slowly began to transition. Whenever it rained, Gideon would transform into his full wolf form and take a run around the whole land until the rain stopped. "Were you talking to someone?" Emma watched her daughter get in and quickly take off her muddy shoes, strip off her soaked clothes, left in her undies. She picked up a cloth and wrapped it around her body. "Ophelia!" her mother felt the secrecy in Ophelia's body language, "were you speaking to someone?" she questioned again and this time, her voice held more power to make sure that her daughter takes her seriously. "No! Why would you say that? I was by myself." Ophelia hid the truth from her mother as she knew her mother would freak out if she ever came to know about her daughter's forbidden affair with a werewolf. "Here, give her this medicine, I'll go quickly take a shower," Ophelia left the medicine on the nightstand and rushed into the bathroom. Watching Ophelia's back, for some reasons, Emma started to worry about her beautiful daughter. There had been rumors running around that soon the Alpha King was going to announce a special day for his powerful sons and they were allowed to pick any human girl from their homes to sleep a night with them. Emma feared that Kaiden was going to pick Ophelia. She always knew that her daughter was pretty and sexy enough that nearly everybody keeps wishing to sleep with her.

He Chose Her Over Our Child
9.2
My world shattered twice. First, the ocean claimed my son. Then, the mountain road took another, a direct sacrifice to the man I loved and the woman he chose. In the hospital, beeps marked the emptiness where my second son used to be, echoing the first loss, both involving Holden and Giana. During the car crash, I was pinned, bleeding, and trapped. Holden, my partner, looked me in the eyes, then chose to save Giana, abandoning me and our unborn child. Soon, I overheard Holden praising Giana for turning our tragedy into a PR win. His hollow apologies and focus on Giana’s "miracle work" reignited the brutal memory of her push and his past denials. A decade of sacrificing my life and two children for a man who saw me as a liability left a bitter taste. His choice was clear; only profound abandonment remained. But this time, I was choosing me. From my profound loss, a dangerous spark ignited: I would not just survive; I would find freedom and make him pay.
Revenge Of The Forsaken Pregnant Wife
7.0
My marriage ended at a charity gala I organized. One moment, I was the pregnant, happy wife of tech mogul Gabe Sullivan; the next, a reporter' s phone screen announced to the world that he and his childhood sweetheart, Harper, were expecting a child. Across the room, I saw them together, his hand resting on her stomach. This wasn't just an affair; it was a public declaration that erased me and our unborn baby. To protect his company's billion-dollar IPO, Gabe, his mother, and even my own adoptive parents conspired against me. They moved Harper into our home, into my bed, treating her like royalty while I became a prisoner. They painted me as unstable, a threat to the family's image. They accused me of cheating and claimed my child wasn't his. The final command was unthinkable: terminate my pregnancy. They locked me in a room and scheduled the procedure, promising to drag me there if I refused. But they made a mistake. They gave me back my phone to keep me quiet. Feigning surrender, I made one last, desperate call to a number I had kept hidden for years-a number belonging to my biological father, Antony Dean, the head of a family so powerful, they could make my husband's world burn.
Revenge Wedding: I Choose The Reaper

On my wedding day, the wedding planner looked at me with pity in her eyes. She told me the groom had called with a last-minute request. He wanted the name on the floral arch changed from "Elena" to "Sofia." Five years of loyalty to Dante Romero, and I found out he was planning a "secret" ceremony with his mistress an hour before ours. He claimed she was dying of cancer. He said it was her final wish to be a bride, and that as a good mafia wife, I should understand. He swore it was just charity. But I had seen the texts where he called me "furniture." I had watched him step over my body when I fell down the stairs at a club, just so he could leave with her. And this morning, I watched Sofia walk into the hotel lobby wearing *my* custom French lace wedding dress, smirking as she clung to his arm. Dante thinks I'm crying in the bridal suite. He thinks I will sit in the front row of his "fake" wedding and wait for my turn like a dutiful puppet. He is wrong. I wiped my tears and picked up my phone. I didn't cancel the wedding date. I just changed the location to the ballroom next door. And I changed the groom. As Dante says his vows to his mistress, I am walking down the aisle to meet the only man the Romero family fears. The Reaper.

Rogues broke into the Pack House, holding a silver knife to my throat while another captive held Brooke, the so-called "Seer." I was gutted with a silver blade and left to bleed out on the carpet while he cradled her. Miraculously, I survived, only to find he had already replaced me. He claimed Brooke was pregnant with his heir—something he said I, a "defective" Omega who couldn't shift, could never give him. To protect his reputation and clear the way for his new Luna, he didn't just exile me. He drugged me with Wolfsbane and threw me onto a fishing trawler rigged with explosives. As the timer ticked down in the dark cargo hold, I finally understood the depth of his cruelty. Years ago, when I miscarried our actual child alone on the bathroom floor, begging for him through the mind-link, he hadn't just ignored me—he had blocked me to pick up his mistress. The boat exploded, turning the ocean into fire. Harrison stood on the cliff, watching me burn, satisfied that his problem was gone. But he forgot that my bloodline doesn't perish in fire. Six months later, I walked back into the Council Hall. I wasn't the weak Omega anymore. I was the legendary White Wolf. And on my arm was the Lycan King—the one man Harrison feared most. "Hello, Harrison," I smiled. "I believe you're sitting in my seat."
