Chapter 11

"Leave it to your mother Ophelia, she can handle him without even causing any damage. If you go there, things might turn bad," Athena grasped Ophelia's hand, once she saw her friend getting ready to March towards Kaiden. "I just--," Ophelia's anger didn't let her finish the sentence. She knew what Athena said was true, they were standing in the small corner with a curtain preventing it from the outside eye. If she were to make her presence known, the werewolves would probably demand her to please them. "Don't underestimate your mother," Athena turned her head to Emma's place, "She is not a weak woman. " "I'll try to get you angels someday," Emma being a pro in bypassing challenges, giggled playfully and played with one of the guy's tunics. "And mother likes the attention as well," Ophelia saw the shimmer in her mother's eyes and smiled while shaking her head. Emma was a cheerful woman, she loved men's attention, but that doesn't mean she would sleep with anyone she sees. "See, everyth---," as Athena had only able to open her mouth, one of the boys from Kaiden's friends got up and stood behind Emma. The moment he did that, the smile from Ophelia's face faded away. There was something sketchy about his action. He rested his hand on Emma's butt and squeezed it as harder as he could, making Emma to yell out a shriek in shock and pain. The whole tavern was filled with the laughter of the powerful creatures called werewolves. "As*holes!" Ophelia bit her tongue, clenching her jaw in frustration and her inability to punish the boy. "Imagine how loud she must yell in the bed," The boy, commonly known by the nickname clumsy by the werewolves, commented to entertain Kaiden. Everybody laughed while Emma adjust herself and forced a smile on her lips. "I want to see it," Kaiden lifted the goblet in his hand and announced, once again making the crowd go silent. "I don't have a good feeling about this," Ophelia uttered in her mouth, her eyes watching her mother from afar. "I want you to lift up her dress and bite her as*cheeks to turn her red." He had no shame, his words brought goosebumps to Ophelia's skin. Her mother awkwardly tried to avoid the eye contact, knowing well this was all happening in front of her daughter. "Lewdness," Ophelia whispered in her mouth, her eyes forming tears as she felt her mother's misery. "I will gladly do that," clumsy being a lazy werewolf, would never let go of a chance to be the center of the attention. He hurriedly rushed behind Emma and grabbed her dress from the bottom, looking around for the crowd to cheer him on. Kaiden had a slight smirk on the one corner of his lips. He was getting excited, will that stupid upright human girl come out for this? Ophelia's mother was his source of entertainment that day. He was leaning to the side very lazily, holding the goblet up in the air, closer to his lips. "I can't let this happen," Ophelia decided she cannot hide behind the curtain while her mother gets humiliated in front of everyone. Before clumsy could make a move, a beautiful, sultry voice filled the surrounding, grabbing everybody's attention. "What can I do for you today?" Ophelia stood in front of them with a tray in her one hand that she had lifted to her face level, her other hand on her waist as she stared at the boys. "Who is she?" clumsy let go of the dress and stepped ahead to get a good look at the sexy lady in front of them. Emma's eyes widened in disbelief to see her daughter appear in the wrong timings while she used to stay behind the curtain and only prepare food all these years. "I'm Ophelia Nightingale," she made sure to sound and look as sultry as she could, to make their attention go from her mother to her really quick. "We will go cook you the best lamb ever," Emma anxiously wanted to hide her daughter from the hungry eyes of the werewolves as they all unbelievably scanned Ophelia's body. "That is your daughter!" Kaiden smirked, who was silently observing this whole chaos occurring before his eyes. He finally caught her. Ophelia kept the forced smile on her lips while Emma's face changed the color. The werewolves obviously knew of Ophelia but didn't know her appearance would be this alluring when come face to face. "Can I do her instead of the old one?" Clumsy excitedly asked, his eyes watching Kaiden's face for approval while Ophelia's smile began to shiver off. "No!" Kaiden responded immediately. Ophelia let out a sigh secretly. "Maybe he's not that terrible, he has to care about the reputation of this royal identity." Kaiden somehow got a little annoyed when he heard that offer earlier. She's pretty, she's a "smart" talker and every words she said to him that night still echoed in his mind from time to time. That night she hid behind the curtain, but now that they were face to face, he wondered what other bold words could leak from her tempting little mouth. "How about your daughter serves us completely stripped naked to all of us?" he continued with an appreciation hoot from the customers that got excited at the suggestion. Ophelia's smile faded away the moment Kaiden finished the full sentence. Kaiden noticed the color change of both mothers and his heart puffed in pride. That's the price she had to pay for she dared to defy him before. "I can do tha---," Emma awkwardly continued with Kaiden cutting her words in the mid-way. "Nobody wants to see you, we will wait here for the food and your daughter's naked body," Kaiden declared with a smug face and gestured to the mother and the daughter to go and prep their meal. They briskly walked behind the curtain and the first thing Emma did was to grasp Ophelia's arm and make her turn around to face her mother. "I---," Emma lifted her hand and stopped it midway, gritting her teeth and glaring her daughter with rage filled eyes. Ophelia flinched but when saw her mother's hand stop mid-air and tears leave her eyes, she pulled her mother close to hug her. "Why did you do that?" Emma sobbed, holding her daughter in a tight embrace. "I couldn't let you get humiliated while I stand behind a curtain like a coward," Ophelia replied, tears of anger forming in her eyes, "And it's fine. I can strip in front of them, it wo--," as her mother began to speak something, Ophelia shook her head to silence her, "It won't be an issue mother." "Oh! Ophelia..." Emma burst into tears. Why did God make them face such a predicament? "Mom, don't cry, they're still waiting outside, let's prepare the food first." Ophelia tried hard to calm herself down and started to prepare the food. Emma nodded and started to think of countermeasures in her mind while preparing. While the mother and the daughter prepared the food, Kaiden and his friends waited while drinking bear. "Her mother thinks she is sharp, I can't believe she had hidden her daughter from us for so long." one of his friends complained, if Kaiden allows him, he would go and grab Ophelia outside, bend her over the table and fuc* her in front of everyone. "This is so disrespectful to Kaiden," the other friend decided to be sneaky. He knew Kaiden, despite being a heartless beast, would not let them forcefully sleep with a girl, even if she was a human. "How?" Clumsy asked, scratching the back of his neck. "Don't you think Kaiden deserves to taste her first? He is the soon to be alpha king, he should be allowed to sleep with whoever he wants," that guy was not stopping, he wanted Kaiden to make the first move so that he can follow in the heat of the moment. "I'm not touching nobody," Kaiden, even though, felt coerced into fu** the girl, held his desires at bay when thought of Rosalie crossed his mind. He had promised her to not give her place to anyone, and an alpha king never breaks his promise. "You can strip her with your own hands," The guy instigated. Kaiden watched his face and then zoned out. That wouldn't be considered as cheating, would it be? Kaiden was a handsome, young man, he too had desires and it wasn't a lie that he had not seen a beauty so tremendous like Ophelia before. It troubled him that he was even able to notice her beauty, but that was the truth. Ophelia's beauty could make anyone skip their heartbeat with just a single glance. "That I can do." now that he wasn't fuc*king her, making her strip won't be considered as cheating, he thought.

To protect his company's billion-dollar IPO, Gabe, his mother, and even my own adoptive parents conspired against me. They moved Harper into our home, into my bed, treating her like royalty while I became a prisoner. They painted me as unstable, a threat to the family's image. They accused me of cheating and claimed my child wasn't his. The final command was unthinkable: terminate my pregnancy. They locked me in a room and scheduled the procedure, promising to drag me there if I refused. But they made a mistake. They gave me back my phone to keep me quiet. Feigning surrender, I made one last, desperate call to a number I had kept hidden for years-a number belonging to my biological father, Antony Dean, the head of a family so powerful, they could make my husband's world burn.
