Chapter 6
Bella POV
He continued walking and walked out of the woods. We walked up a stair into a building. I could see some people staring at me as they saw him smile and walk past with me on his shoulder. This sight made me feel dizzy and I felt like dropping down from him. He walked up the stairs and then into a room.
Getting into the room, he dropped me to my feet, and I stood upright, holding on to my head, which felt like it was spinning. After my head felt light, I fixed my eyes on the man who stood in front of me.
"What is this? Why did you bring me here?" I demanded.
"Well," he said with a shrug. "Since you are my mate, you will be staying here."
Listening to him made my stomach ache.
"I'm not staying here and not with you," I said.
"No one said you were staying with me."
"I am not staying here. I will take my leave." I said and moved towards the door.
Immediately I opened the door, he shut it close and pushed me against the door. He pressed himself on me, bringing his face up to my neck, and inhaled.
"The sooner you accept this, the better it will be for you." He said in a whisper, pressing his lip against my ear.
I could feel some sensation from his body as he stood close to me. The sensations were nothing like I had ever felt.
"Alright, but I tell you that you can't keep me here."
"I can see that you are stubborn." He said with a smirk. "Well, let's watch."
With that, he walked out of the room slightly moving me aside. I could feel the door lock. I ran to the knob and turned it, but it didn't open.
"Hey, you let me out, please," I said hitting on the door. "You really can't keep me in here."
Tired of hitting the door and shouting, I slid down the door with my head in my hands. I have just been locked in the room and not just by anyone but by my mate.
I was also in the Dark pilot pack, where I could be killed at any time. Did my mate bring me here to be killed?
Does he have so much resentment for me? Why did he bring me here and lock me in this room?
If he truly is my mate then why isn't he all that good to me?
I had always thought finding my mate would be the best thing for me but now I think I am cursed.
I had thought from when he called me his mate, he would treat me like one. We will have our romantic moment together but I guess that I am wrong.
He treated me like a piece of trash, carrying me like I was a weightless sack of sand, then locking me in this room. He is so heartless and if ever I am let out of here alive, I will flee to somewhere far.
I sat on the floor of the room my so-called mate left me. He left me in the room with nothing, nothing to eat, and nothing to do. I got up to my feet, tired of sitting on the floor. I looked around the room and felt that it looked like a male's room. It had my mate's scent, so I guess it was his room.
The room looked dull. Its paintings were dark, and I guess that he likes dark colors, but it was too dull. There was no formal painting on the wall. It was too dull but not as dull as the color in my pack.
I hope I won't be made to clean this room like I had always done in the other pack even when I had a mother.
"Hello." I heard and turned around to see who it was who called me.
I saw a little girl enter through the door. I smiled looking at her. She stood by the door and smiled back.
She was a tall girl with a little face. She had dark hair with a pointed nose. She had dark eyes and a sexy lip.
I can say, she is very beautiful. The dress she wore made her look like a princess.
"Hello," I smiled, waving to her awkwardly as I felt confused.
"Jason sent me here to stay with you so you won't feel bored."
I nodded my head to him. At least, I could call my mate Jason. Thankfully, he sent someone to be with me.
"His name is Jason," I said to be assured.
"Yes, the person who brought you here is Jason."
I jerked not wanting to act so strange.
"Alright, Jason," I said.
She smiled, looked at me, and introduced herself. "I am Catherine."
"And I am Bella," I said smiling back.
"Alright Bella, let's go for a walk around the house. You should get to know various areas in here."
"Sure, it will be nice Catherine. Let's go." I said, earning a smile from her.
"That's great." She said excitedly.
We walked out of the room, and she began showing me around. I noticed people staring at me, but I didn't care. I knew they were thinking of who I was and the reason I was in their pack house.
I could hear their whispers as they spoke about me.
"Do you know the reason I am here?" I asked Catherine who smiled.
"Yeah, I know. You are Jason's mate, after all." She replied, and I huffed as I saw her hideous smile.
She is hiding something from me.
"Speaking of it, I would like to know where your Alpha is."
"He isn't here." She replied, but I wasn't buying it.
"You do know that you are lying," I said.
"I can't answer you, yet." She replied. "It's not me to answer you."
I nodded and followed her. She led me to a kitchen, and everyone stopped their work, staring at me.
"Hi everyone, this is Bella." Catherine introduced.
"She doesn't look like our type." A lady said.

His brother, Braden, was a parasite who mistook his trust fund for "freedom." His sister, Chelsea, was a brainless socialite being used as a pawn in a public scandal by a con artist.
Even the family's ruthless Chief of Staff, a man meant to be their shield, looked at me with utter contempt, viewing me as just another problem to be managed.
They all saw a fragile doll. They had no idea that their weakness was an insult to the family name, and I was not going to stand for it.
It was time to discipline the children. The first lesson began at 3,000 feet, when I kicked my brother-in-law out of a plane mid-flight. His rehabilitation—and my takeover of this family—had just begun.

Eileen Goff was a nobody, scrubbing diner tables to survive while her greedy family bled her dry.
On the eve of her twentieth birthday, the government's mandatory marriage algorithm matched her with a spouse.
It wasn't a plumber or a teacher. It was Harrison Butler, the ruthless, untouchable billionaire king of Butler Industries.
At the registry, Harrison's glamorous intended fiancée threw a half-million-dollar check at her.
"Take the money, get out of here, and never show your face again."
The registry supervisor even offered her a million dollars to sign a cancellation agreement, trying to erase her from the system.
At their first high-society gala, Harrison's stepmother and the fiancée locked Eileen in an empty room, plotting to humiliate her and prove she was just cheap trash.
Eileen was terrified and confused. Men like Harrison Butler didn't just accept federal matches with girls who smelled like fried onions.
But instead of abandoning her, Harrison smashed the door open, publicly banished his own family, and kissed her in front of the entire city's elite.
Why was this billionaire going to such extreme lengths to protect a complete stranger?
Then she overheard his assistant talking about a marriage clause in his grandfather's trust fund.
He didn't love her; he just needed a powerless, state-mandated wife to lock his parasitic family out of his empire.
Realizing she was a highly valuable pawn, Eileen stopped trembling, looked the billionaire in the eye, and spoke.
"I believe we can have more than just a legal relationship. We can have a business arrangement."
