Chapter 4

After getting a blood transfusion from me, Kaitlyn finally opened her eyes.

Aaron stopped frowning and hugged Kaitlyn tightly. “Thank heaven, I was so worried.”

The family was crying and laughing, and I was discarded at the corner like trash.

Kaitlyn saw me in the corner and said worriedly, “Is Elena okay? She looks sick.”

Aaron was scornful. “She did so many wrong things to you. Giving you her blood is her way of making it up to you. You’re really too kind; that’s why you’re bullied.”

My father followed up by saying, “Elena’s in great shape. If she didn’t die three years ago, she won’t die from losing a little blood.

The passersby were glancing at us. They were looking at me with sympathy.

“I don’t like hospitals. I want to go home,” Kaitlyn pleaded.

“Alright, alright. Let’s go home.” Aaron carefully carried Kaitlyn in his arms. When he passed by me, he kicked me with his leather shoes. “Stop feigning innocence. You’re the one who’s in the wrong. I’ll bring Kaitlyn back to rest. You can go home by yourself. I won’t go home tonight.”

Then they left.

I struggled to get up. The pain from the needles made me gasp.

“Be careful.” A strong arm helped me up.

After I stood up, I thanked the man who helped me.

I carefully looked at the man. He had really prominent features and curly black hair.

“Elena, I’m Andrew Edwards.”

“Edwards? Edwards Corporation?”

“You’ve helped me in the past. Even though it was nothing to you, I wanted to repay your kindness.”

“I… I don’t remember.”

“This necklace helped me to kick start my career. After I was successful, I got it back from the pawn shop. I was hoping that I would be able to return it to you.” Andrew took out a delicate diamond necklace from his pocket. At the back of the necklace, there was an engraving of my name. I had indeed given it away to someone before.

“You should divorce immediately and distance yourself from Aaron.

“I’ll arrange some bodyguards for you so no one can harm you again.

“I’m getting my people to collect evidence for you. You just need to take care of your health.”

Andrew arranged a blood transfusion for me. After I recovered, he sent me home.
