Chapter 2
LISA
"Good to finally meet you, Lisa. I have a meeting to attend, Emily. See you soon." He left.
This cannot be happening. That is him, the man from the other night. That same husky voice. Why is everything going wrong?
"You should see your face right now. Trust me, I get that reaction a lot when I introduce him as my father. He and my mum had me when they were 18. You already know she died during childbirth." Emily's voice jerked me back to reality.
I was finding it difficult to say anything. Should I tell her that I had a one-night stand with her father?
Arghhh. Why does my own Santa have to come bearing bad luck?
"Lisa... my daddy is off limits. I saw the way you were looking at him. Do not even think of using him as a rebound. Trust me, your heart will be shattered into pieces."
I did not know I was still looking at the place he just left, and my mouth was still dropped open until she dragged my nose playfully.
"Huh... no way. I do not want to deal with any man right now." I stuttered, hoping my voice would not betray me.
Someone came and helped me with my luggage while I followed Emily to the room where I would be spending my holiday.
The room looked like it would contain an extra ten people. It was spacious, with a king-size bed. Everything about this space screams luxury.
"So, this is your room. I want to quickly freshen up. Just ring the telecom if you need anything." She said.
She was about to go, but I requested her phone. Mine was switched off, and it should remain that way, but I needed to speak to my brother and fill him in.
He is the only person in my family who genuinely cares about me.
Now all alone, the sad reality dawned on me again. My life is not as peaceful as it used to be.
Has Josh said anything to my parents? I was meant to have my bridal shower tonight, where the extended family would possibly present their gifts to me.
What will Daddy's reaction be when I do not show up tomorrow? I collapsed on the bed, clearly going through a lot.
Josh's family had promised to help Daddy's company from going bankrupt after the wedding, but if I am out of the picture, things might never be the same.
I stood up and walked over to the tall mirror placed in the middle of the room to have a proper look at myself.
Maybe if I were slim like his step mum, Josh would have stayed with me. I have always been on the chubby side. Fat ass, round boobs. The only thing slim about me is my face and tummy.
No, I would not do that to myself. He is an asshole. I picked up Emily's phone and dialled my brother's number, saved as John, and he picked up almost immediately.
John: Emily, I have tried calling you. Do you know where Lisa is? Everybody is worried.
Me: Do not draw any attention. It is me. Move to a place where you will be alone.
Just like that, I told him everything that was happening, excluding my one-night stand story.
As predicted, he was furious. Just like Emily, he has never liked Josh for me. The call ended, but not without me letting him know not to let anyone know what happened.
I quickly had my bath and changed into something more comfortable. Today is Christmas, and I will have a fun-filled evening.
It dawned on me that I did not see any Christmas trees hanging around anywhere. Nothing feels like the season around here.
Everywhere is quiet. I might as well shop for a Christmas tree with my best friend and light up the house.
I left my room, hoping to see someone who would show me her room, but something caught my attention.
A door was slightly open, and I saw a painting that caught my eye, so I went inside.
A moon crescent. The painting felt so real. I got more curious and started looking around at other paintings.
Werewolves, crowns. Now I understand where Emily got her crazy fantasy about werewolves. She has always believed in this funny story about packs, werewolves, moon.
I find it funny because none of that exists in the actual sense. Just crazy fantasy that most writers come up with.
There was another painting, but this one was covered. I guess it must be really beautiful. I moved towards it to open it, but stopped immediately when I heard that same voice.
"Snooping around is not such a good trait."
It felt like the moment froze. He has this strong aura that makes me quiver even without trying much.
"I... I was just looking around."
The more he came close to me, the more I could feel my heart beating.
"I will forgive you this once because you are my daughter's friend, but I do not give second chances... Lisa." He tugged the tiny hair strand behind my ear.
How can someone sound so deadly and sexy at the same time? He moved towards the covered painting.
"You will not tell my daughter what happened. Not now, not ever."
I had to chuckle. It was my time to make him fear. "Oh, I should not tell my best friend that her father randomly has one-night stands with girls and throws out some wad of cash as compensation."
"Is that what you think of me, Mr..." Yeah, right. I do not even know his name.
"Her room is second wing on your left," he said.
Just how did he know I was looking for her room? I did not bother asking. I followed his direction and went to Emily's room.
She was arranging her clothes when I came in. "Hey, you. I thought you would probably be nursing your heartbreak or sleeping." She winked at me.
"You wish. Here does not feel like Christmas, so let us go shop for Christmas trees, flowers, and lots of roses."
"Put those clothes down. Let us go." I was about to drag her out, but she stopped me.
"We do not celebrate Christmas around here, Lisa."
Huh? What was she saying? I noticed that she was twisting her fingers. She only does that when nervous. Are they pagan? That explains it.
"Here is the Silvercrest Dominion pack, the strongest of all packs. My father is the Alpha... we are werewolves, Lisa. It is high time I come out of my closet."
I burst into laughter, holding my ribs. "You should consider acting."
I stopped laughing when I saw fangs forming from her hands, her eye colour drastically changing, and the sudden glow.
"Nooo." That was the last thing I remembered saying before I passed out.

She was the daughter they tried to erase. Now, she is the Queen they cannot escape.
In the Moon Shadow Pack, Audrey is a ghost in her own home. Born on a night of prophecy but appearing to be a "powerless" human, she has spent twenty-one years as a servant to her cruel stepmother and her pampered half-sister, Samantha. Her father, the Alpha, looks at her and sees only the death of his beloved wife-a stain on his legacy that needs to be removed.
When a marriage alliance is struck with the powerful and mysterious Silver Pack, Audrey's family concocts a deadly plan. They will veil Audrey and swap her for Samantha, sending her to marry the blind Alpha, Lucas. They believe the union will kill her instantly, leaving the path clear for Samantha to claim the crown once the "sacrifice" is complete.
But the prophecy had a secret.
The moment Lucas claims his bride, his sight is restored, and the power dormant in Audrey's blood erupts. She isn't a human, and she isn't a mere werewolf-she is the long-lost White Wolf, the True Luna of the Silver Pack.
As Audrey rises from the ashes of her betrayal, she is no longer the girl who cowers in the shadows. With a powerful Alpha at her side and an ancient magic in her veins, she is returning home. And this time, it won't be to serve-it will be to burn down the house that tried to destroy her.

"This isn't right..." I whispered.
But my stepbrothers wouldn't let me go.
"You're ours now," Sylver said quietly. "And that's not going to change."
My mother and I have been running for three years-from Eryndor Blackshade, the vampire cult leader obsessed with finding me.
Just when he finds us again, my mother makes a desperate move: she marries King Reid Thornevale, the most powerful Lycan in the Blood Hollow Pack.
But Reid comes with a dangerous secret-triplet hybrid sons, born of vampire and werewolf blood. They're ruthless, cursed... and now, my stepbrothers. From the moment Sylver, Cassian, and Rylan Thornevale lay eyes on me, something ancient stirs-twisted, forbidden, and hungry.
A fire that scorches morality and melts all reason. Our connection isn't just wrong. It's deadly. Because the Thornevale bloodline is cursed, descendants of Elder Varek, the first vampire–werewolf hybrid, were sealed away centuries ago.
The curse awakens under every Red Moon, turning them into monsters driven by bloodlust and desire. Now I'm caught in the middle. Between a cult that wants to sacrifice me... And stepbrothers who want to claim me. And I don't know which fate will destroy me first.

Isolde woke up in a freezing, ruined stone house with a splitting headache and only five percent of her life signs remaining.
Before she could even process the mechanical system voice in her head, a flood of violent memories slammed into her.
She had transmigrated into the body of a cruel noblewoman who mercilessly tortured her beastmen husbands with a barbed whip.
And right now, she was lying in a pool of her own blood, having been shoved against the stone floor by one of them.
Outside the rickety door, her husbands were coldly discussing her death.
"Just go in and finish her. One stab, and we're free."
"If she hit her head and died on her own, then it's an accident. We walk out of here as free males."
To test if she was faking her sudden amnesia, the snake beastman Dangelo even ground his heavy military boot into her injured hand, waiting for her to snap so he could legally end her.
She was poisoned, freezing, and entirely at the mercy of the men who deeply despised her.
She was bearing the deadly consequences of a monster she never was, with a red system warning of imminent death flashing in her mind.
But they didn't know the new Isolde had awakened a survival system and Life Magic.
She swore a blood oath to the Beast God to buy herself three months of time.
Then, she turned her sights to the dying wolf beastman chained in the shed, deciding to pull him back from hell to become her very first shield.

The Royal Pack’s glowing moonstone token rested in my palm.
Before I could even process the miracle of my rebirth, my half-sister Alyssa snatched it right out of my hand.
"This destiny is mine, little sister. Enjoy your cursed Alpha," she sneered.
My family easily caved to her whining. They forced me to take her place and marry Alpha Kaelen, a man they called an insane, crippled monster with three feral adopted sons. They laughed, expecting his beast to tear me apart before the honeymoon was over.
Alyssa thought she was stealing my crown. She didn't know she had just stolen my death sentence.
In my previous life, that exact token had made me the Alpha King’s Luna. But I was just a convenient, disposable meat shield for his true human mate. I died agonizingly, choking on poison meant for her, while the King didn't even blink.
I lowered my head, forcing my shoulders to tremble as if holding back terrified sobs. I played the part of the pathetic, wolfless Omega they all believed me to be.
But beneath my fake tears, I felt a profound relief.
I remembered the Kaelen from my past life. He wasn't a monster. He was powerful, agonizingly lonely, and slowly destroyed by a dark magic no one understood.
I wisely accepted the marriage pact and walked right into his freezing manor.
I know exactly who cursed him. And this time, I will save him, protect his boys, and make his entire pack mine.

Estrella fought back with hidden security footage, blackmailing him into submission after discovering she was pregnant with his boss's child.
But fate dealt a cruel blow. She was diagnosed with aggressive, terminal breast cancer.
She refused to abort the baby to keep her leverage, but the cancer spread too fast.
She died alone in a cold hospital room, her vengeance unfinished, while her husband and his cruel family celebrated.
They thought they had successfully buried her and her secrets forever, escaping unpunished for destroying her life.
But when she gasped for air and opened her eyes again, she wasn't in a cold grave.
She was in a sterile hospital bed, looking at the perfectly manicured hands of Brooklyn Thompson—the notorious, empty-headed socialite everyone despised.

"You're going to pay for every drop of blood."

Blood Moon – Story Description
Blood Moon is a dark, thrilling tale of forbidden attraction, supernatural rivalry, and the fine line between predator and prey. Set in the seemingly ordinary Silver Hollow College, the story unfolds in a world where vampires and werewolves secretly coexist alongside humans, each hiding their true powers while battling their own instincts, rival clans, and the pressures of legacy. In this shadowed world, every glance can hide a threat, every conversation can carry hidden meaning, and every full moon can unleash the beast within.
At the heart of the story are Catrine Nella, a powerful young vampire, and Edwardo Zee, a disciplined yet conflicted werewolf. Catrine is sharp, cunning, and deadly, raised under the constant pressure of her ambitious step-sister who insists she feed on human blood to grow stronger. Catrine's natural talents in both magic and combat make her a force to be reckoned with, yet she struggles with morality, identity, and her own desire for control. Edwardo, on the other hand, is torn between his instincts as a wolf and the manipulations of his ruthless step-brother, who demands that he become a killer to claim alpha status. Edwardo wants to be a true alpha, not through bloodshed, but by protecting others and leading with honor-an ambition that sets him apart from his family and makes him both a target and a misfit among his kind.
The story begins with a violent, electrifying encounter between Catrine and Edwardo in the forest during the full moon. Both are drawn by their own impulses-Catrine performing a vampire ritual, Edwardo struggling to control the wolf within-and the resulting clash is fierce, brutal, and unforgettable. This first meeting ignites a dangerous rivalry, with each recognizing the other's extraordinary abilities while also sensing something forbidden and magnetic between them. Though enemies by instinct and heritage, the connection they forge amidst conflict sets the stage for a tension-filled enemies-to-lovers narrative that drives the series forward.
As the story unfolds, Silver Hollow College becomes a battlefield not just of physical strength but of intellect, cunning, and emotional power. Catrine and Edwardo test one another constantly-through subtle glances in class, tense encounters in crowded hallways, and increasingly dangerous confrontations in the forest. Each battle pushes them further, revealing vulnerabilities and strengths, and slowly transforms their relationship from animosity into fascination, grudging respect, and eventually, desire. Amidst this, both characters are confronted with the pressures of their families. Catrine's step-sister threatens her with weakness if she does not feed on human blood, while Edwardo's step-brother pressures him toward ruthless dominance, creating a constant tension that challenges their morality and tests the limits of their powers.
At its core, Blood Moon is a story about choice and identity. It explores the struggle between instinct and conscience, power and restraint, hatred and attraction. It examines what it means to be strong-not just physically, but emotionally and morally-in a world where strength often comes at the cost of humanity. Through fast-paced action, supernatural intrigue, and the slow-burning, dangerous pull between Catrine and Edwardo, the story blends romance, suspense, and fantasy into a gripping narrative. It is a saga of blood and moonlight, of predators and secrets, of rivalry and passion, and of two young supernatural beings whose lives are forever intertwined by fate, desire, and the power of the Blood Moon.
