Lina is a 17-year-old orphan living in a foster home, her life is what she think like living in hell. until she one day at school meet the new guy Alex. for some reason he calms her, make her feel things she thought she never had.

Alex is 18 and the future Alpha from the Moon Stone Pack. he has been gone for 3 years for training and to learn. Alex is ready for his mate but hasn't found her yet. until he sees the quiet strange girl no one talks to.

what will their story be? will he repair his broken mate? is she just a human? if not what exactly is she.

Chapter One

Lina POV.

I am sleeping, laying on my stomach, but even in my sleep I hear my door go up, I lay still, and I say nothing, I know if I do it will be worse. I can feel the extra weight in my bed, and then I feel his hands. One is coming between my legs, the other one comes around and grabs my throat. I feel his breath in my ear as he whispers.

“Good girl, now remember, not one word or I will make it hurt.” And with these words he enters me, pushes himself inside me, and it hurts like hell.

My name is Lina I am seventeen and an orphan, when I was three years old, I was found somewhere near a forest and delivered to the social services. No one ever came looking for me, so they thought either my parents were dead, or they just left me. I am currently living in a foster home with 3 other kids all boys where one of them is the foster parents’ biological son. He is the one that comes into my room at night and has his way with me and making my life a living hell.

Oh, and I live in a town controlled by the werewolf pack “Moonstone pack” yep you heard right. Werewolves exist. But they live in peace along with us humans, and always keep to themselves, apart from the jobs and businesses they have in town.

I wake up, feeling dirty and disgusted with myself. I hate living here. I am nothing but a source to get money. I get out of my bed, grab my clothes and my towel, and hurry to the bathroom. I take a shower and tears run down my cheeks, I don’t even remember him leaving my room, I passed out before he was finished. I get dressed in dark blue jeans and a simple top and a big black hoodie, brush my long brown hair, and add some mascara. I open the door and get out only to see Ken stand there. He smirks at me gets close and whisper to me

“Remember. Not. One. The word” with that he leaves and walks downstairs to the kitchen. I go downstairs, look inside the kitchen, and speak.

“I am off to school” turn around and leave the house.

It’s a warm day, and I know I will feel like dying from the heat today wearing my hoodie, but I keep it on. I don’t like when Guys look at my body. I love being outside I am feeling free and somehow safe. I am getting to school. Walking through the doors and go towards my locker. The talk is summing all over the place, about three new students attending the school’s queen B Vickie who also is one of the werewolves is standing talking loudly with her small minions. I can hear them whisper about the new students.

“The future Alpha is the hottest guy I have ever seen; Vickie you are so lucky your family is close to the alphas family.” One of her minions say. Vickie is just smiling and speak

“Yes, Alpha said I will be the perfect future Luna, and Alex is so hot, I can’t be any happier.” All the girls giggle and I roll my eyes, without they can see it.

Vickie thinks that just because she is a werewolf, she is better than all of us, especially when it comes to us humans. I grab my stuff and go to my first class which is English literature. Something is changed though I just cannot pinpoint what it is. Maye to smell. Usually, the hall is filled with the smell of students. But right now, all I can smell is the then amazing and alluring scent of fresh air from the forest and mint. I shake my head I must be going crazy.

Chapter Two

POV. Alex

I am standing in the hall of the school together with Logan and Mike, we have been gone for the past 3 years, training to get ready to take over our rightful places in the pack when the time comes. “So, you didn’t find your mate in the pack when we got home,” Mike asks. I look at him and shake my head, “No, I took a walk around the pack, and nothing caught my senses.” Logan and Mike both smile Sadly. They both know I have been searching and hoping to find my mate since I shifted. A wolf’s mate is the most precious thing we can find, it’s the half we need to be 100% complete. As an alpha, I shifted when I was fifteen, where any wolfs with a lower rank, first shift when they turn eighteen. Logan and Mike both found their mates, and even it stings, I am happy for them.

“I heard a rumor that you are going to choose the old gammas daughter Vicky as your chosen mate and make her your Luna” I laugh at them.

“Oh yes, that is what the rumor says, I will admit it was suggested by the elders, but no I will not make Vicki my mate and not my Luna, I wouldn’t even touch her, just for the fun of it, I rather turn out to be a monk.” They both laugh at that.

Everyone knows Vicki is the biggest pack whore we have in the pack and the school.

As we are about to go to the class, the most alluring and amazing scent hits my nose. Roses and cinnamon, almost making my mouth water. I can feel Hunter me the wolf is whimpering and growling at the same time through the mind link we have to each other. I am looking around in the hall trying to pinpoint wherefrom the scent is coming from. While standing there, I feel this scent come closer, but then it is like it disappearing again. Hunter is whimpering, and I am right there with him, I want to know who that scent belonged to.

The first 2 classes are done, and it is lunchtime, I smelled the sent between classes, but still didn’t find who it belonged to. I hope maybe doing lunch will turn up and I will follow it. I sit in the cafeteria with Logan and Mike, looking around trying to catch the scent.

“Are you okay man?” Mike asks as they both look at me with worry in their eyes.

“Yes, I am fine, but I think she is here in this school.” As I say that Emma and Emily show up and sit down with Logan and Mike.

“Who is here?” Emma asks as she sits down next to Logan, and kisses him, Emma is Logan’s Mate, and the pack’s future beta female. Emily is Mike’s Mate and the future Gamma Female, both girls are perfect for them and our future, also are their sisters, I teased my boys with that in beginning, though I am happy for them.

“I think my mate is here in the school.” The girl’s squeals and Emily says.

“Omg that is amazing Alex, do you know who it is? Please don’t say, Vicki.” She looks nervous for a second thinking she maybe just assaulted her future Luna.

“God no. it’s not her, that much I know,” she breathes out

“But I don’t know, I can’t find who the scent belongs to. Until I do, I can’t be sure.” They nod their head and Mike ask.

“What if she is Human? I mean only she-wolves here are from our pack. And you did say you didn’t sense her there.” I look at him and think for a second.

“If the moon-goddess have chosen a human as my mate, there will be a reason for it. It won’t change the fact she is my mate.” They all smile and nod at my words, then I feel a hand on my shoulder.

“Hey Alex, I’ve been looking for you,” Vicki’s voice says.

“What you want Vicki,” I say without looking at her.

“Eat with you, of course, you know now with the elders and alpha’s decision about us being chosen ma.” I cut her off right there.

“Vicki, they didn’t decide anything my father and I were suggested options, however, I do not agree, nor will I choose you as my mate, I won’t choose anyone but my true mate. So, knock that out of your head and move on.” She looks at me with anger for turning her down and then starts touching me again, making me want to throw up.

“Do not touch me, Vicki, ever.” I snap at her.

“But Alex we can be so good together, I can make you happy, cover your needs at any time.” I can feel my anger getting bigger, and hunter clawing to come out and scratch her ugly face, but I keep him in control, with my Alpha voice and aura cast on her I look at her.

“Leave, and do not try this again, ever, if you do, you will regret it. I do not want you.” Everyone felt and heard my words.

All the wolves react to it by bowing their heads. I look at my friends they also are bowing under my command and alpha aura. I relax let go of my aura and everyone goes back to eating, and Vicki leaves. looking at my friends I say.

“I am sorry guys. I just.” Emma cuts me off

“You don’t need to be sorry Alpha. We understand.” She says and smiles at me. I nod my head as if I say thank you. And we go back to eating.

The scent doesn’t come into the cafeteria, and I wonder where the girl it belongs to is. When I am heading the last class of the day, Calculus. I enter the classroom together with Logan the smell hits my face. Roses and Cinnamon, I look around and my eyes fall onto a girl sitting in the back in the corner. Her eyes are glued to the book she has on the table, and her long brown hair is falling in waves.

“She is here” I whisper to Logan so only he can hear it, completely forgetting I could just have mind-linked him. He looks surprised at me, then smiles big and nods his head. I find my way to an empty table next to her and sit down, I look over at her, but she does not pay attention to the fact I have sat down next to her. I look at Logan who took the empty table in front of her, without her even knowing she is known fully protected. She is dressed in blue jeans and a black hoodie that looks to be way too big for her. I lean over a little feeling the scent gets stronger.

“Hello, I am Alex.” I introduce myself she turns her head just a little bit to show that she heard me, “hello” she says without looking up or saying her name.

I look at a logan and he shrugs his shoulders.

“The bonehead there in front of you is Logan” I try again hearing logan chuckle. She doesn’t answer.

“what’s your name?” I ask. She turns her head a little more, but still not enough for me to see her properly when she says.

“Lina” I smile to myself, and Hunter is going nuts inside my head and keep telling me to make her look at us, only by seeing her eyes I will know for sure that she is my mate.

The professor enters the room, and everyone goes quiet. The professor is one of the werewolves working at the school and she bows her head to me when she sees me, I nod my head back to her and smile.

“Hello class, today we are going to work on a project in groups of two and three people. The project is to find and make a business plan, meaning finding out what the costs are and what it takes to make a successful business. This project is put together with 2 other professors and will count for a big part of your grades in each class. So, I am sure you will all do a good job at this. Now I will make the groups.”

The professor starts calling names and looks at Lina. Then I mindlink the professor.

“Put me together with Logan and Lina, thank you” I look at the professor and she looks in the papers. And speak.

“Next group in Logan, Lina, and Alex.” Lina looks up first at Logan in front of her then she turns her head and looks straight at me. She has the most amazing blue eyes and at that moment hunter yell in my head “MATE”

Chapter Three

Lina POV.

I am sitting in class waiting for it to start, when I suddenly smell that new scent, I noticed this morning. Forest and chocolate, I want to look around to find out where it comes from, but I keep my head down so people will just leave me alone. Then the smell comes closer, and I notice two guys sitting down on the empty tables in front of me and the one next to me. The smell is so strong now and for some reason, it calms my body.

“Hello, I am Alex,” the voice next to me says and it almost feels like his voice is caressing me softly. I keep my head down even it is so hard, and answer.

“Hello” I don’t want to be rude.

“The bonehead in front of you is Logan” I hear the guy in front of me chuckle a little and I feel a small smile on my lips.

“what’s your name” the guy Alex asks. Still not wanting to be rude I say.

“Lina.” then the professor enters and starts talking about a project that must be made in groups. I shrug for myself. I hate working in groups. People always treat me like shit, and I will end up making it all by myself.

“Next group in Logan, Lina, and Alex” I look up and see Logan looking back at me with a smile then I turn my head to look at Alex, and it feels like the world is stopping.

I look into his stormy gray eyes, and it feels like I am being sucked into them, and I for a while I have forgotten how to turn my head to look down.

“Okay, Lina get yourself together,” I tell myself, and look at the papers the professor is handing out. I try to read the assignment when I hear Alex say.

“Should we go somewhere to work out how we do this?” his voice suddenly sound deep and husky. I nod my head and follow the two guys out of the classroom.

Alex POV.

I can stop looking at my beautiful mate, she is perfect. After a little, she turns her head and looks at the papers with our assignment. “It is her, and she is perfect” I mindlink Logan and hunter is going crazy singing “mate, mate, she is our mate”

“Well get yourself together man, you’re almost drooling. We should go somewhere quiet to work on this, and u can get to know her.” Logan mindlinks me back. I nod my head to him; I know he is right.

“Should we go somewhere to work out how we do this?” she nods her head, and we all leave the classroom. She is quiet and doesn’t say much when we enter the hall, I am trying to think of a place to go when Logan says.

“What about outside by the trees, where we can sit in the grass without being disturbed and find out how we should do this. “I smile to myself; my future Beta is smart.

“That sounds like a plan. What do you think Lina?” she looks at us a little nervous but then she says.

“Y, yeah okay,” she stutters a little making me wonder if she is scared, which makes hunter growl in my head.

We go outside, now knowing she is scared or very nervous I set off to the trees that a nearest the school and parking lot. That seemed to calm her a little.

We reach the trees and sit down all of us looking shortly at our papers.

“We should start with deciding what sort of business we want to make,” Lina says quietly. We nod and Logan says.

“Maybe we all think about that, and we can look over the ideas the next time. Also, find out how we are going to do this assignment. When, where, and so on” Logan says, and I speak.

“That sounds like a plan also we need to make sure we all do this and that we do it together.” Logan and I look at Lina who is looking very surprised.

“You okay Lina, did you have another idea?” I ask her softly and she shakes her head.

“N, no” she stutters, and I wonder for a second if that’s something she does a lot.

“I am just surprised, usually just end up making everything myself.” She says quietly.

“Oh, well you don’t have to do that this time.” She smiles a little and nods. She does again look I’m her papers and we do the same when she asks.

“You are both werewolves, right?” she asks carefully.

“Yes, is that okay?” I ask feeling a bit scared that maybe she hates us, she nods.

“Oh yes it’s fine, you two don’t mind being stuck with a human like this?” she asks. I laugh.

“No not at all why would we?” she looks up and I can see her beautiful eyes again.

“Oh, just most of you would.” She says nervously. I smile

“Well, we don’t mind, and my father has let the humans here know about us for a reason. It’s easier to keep the peace if we all get along.” I say realizing I just gave away that I am the alpha’s son, she looks at me with wide eyes.

She is so beautiful I just want to grab her and kiss her lips.

Logan stands up and I look the way he is, Mike, Emma, and Emily are on their way, the class must be done. They reach us and Logan kisses, Emma. Lina and I stand up as well and I say,

“Lina this is Mike, Emily his mate, and Emma Logan’s mate. “I said introducing them.

“Guys this is Lina,” they all say hello and I can tell that logan already told them, that Lina is my mate, but that she doesn’t know yet.

“Hello, Lina it is nice to meet you,” Emma says. Lina smiles a little.

“Hello. Nice to meet you too, you are new at the school, right?” Emily smile and answers.

“Yes, we are we met Logan and Mike when they and Alex visited our pack 6 months ago, when we found out we were mates we of course moved with them.” She explains. Lina nods her head.

“I have heard about mates. It must be nice to know you have someone who will love you always.” She says suddenly looking a little sad. They all nod their heads and smile. She smiles back but doesn’t say more.

Just wait baby girl, you will have that, we will love and protect you for the rest of our lives, I think for myself when Lina suddenly says.

“Oh god, I need to go sorry. Alex, Logan, see you tomorrow to work on this.” And just like that, she runs off. I want to run after her, hold her, kiss her tell her I am her mate and that she is mine only mine, but I stay, I know I have to take my time. Something isn’t completely right, and I need to find out what it is. We go to our cars and drive home. Not knowing what hell my sweet, beautiful mate is living through.

Lina POV.

I get home and go upstairs to my room. It does not take long before Ken enters without knocking first. He does not say anything but just gets closer, and then slaps me across the face.

“I saw you today slut. Remember not one word to anyone. And remember no one is allowed in your pants unless I say so.” I don’t say anything I just nod my head, and he hits me again but this time I stumble and hit the wall with my head.

No one else is home yet. And he grabs me pushes me up against the wall and squeezes my breast so hard that I whimper in pain. He let go and takes his hands to my jeans and open them before forcing them down. Then he pushes me to the desk I have in my room and leans me over before I roughly push inside me and once again rape me. He puts a hand around my neck, making me look into the mirror, while I feel like he is ripping me into pieces. He finishes and roughing throw me onto the floor before kicking me in the stomach.

“Remember bitch not one word.” Then he leaves my room.

Chapter Four

Alex POV.

I cannot wait to get to school today. I want to see my beautiful mate. But she is nowhere to be seen. I wonder if she is okay.

“No, she isn’t okay,” Hunter says in my head

“Do not say something like that Hunter,” I growl at him.

“You felt that pain yesterday, Alex, I know you did. Because I did. Our mate was in pain and a lot of it.” That makes me furious.

And I keep looking around for her. As I head to class. It’s already 2nd period and still no sign of her. But I know she must be in the next class. And there I see her when I enter. I feel relieved and go to sit at the table next to her.

“Hey Lina,” I say, feeling calm now I can see her and smell her.

But then she lifts her head and looks at me and I let out a threatening growl. She looks down again and whimpers. As Logan enters the classroom. I get down on my knees next to her.

“Lina, Sweetie, I am sorry, I did not mean to scare you. Who has done this Lina?” She whimpers again but doesn’t answer me when Logan mindlinks me. “What going on Alpha we heard that growl halfway down the hall.” I look at him shortly then back at Lina I can hear she is crying softly. “Someone has hurt her” is all I answer him. I try speaking to Lina again to calm her.

“Lina sweetie, please look at me.” She shakes her head.

“It is nothing I, I fell yesterday hit the wall. I am fine.” She says but I can tell she is lying. She refuses to say more, even when we are alone, she just focuses on our assignment and barely speaks. I can’t concentrate at all; all I can think about is that someone hurt her.

After 3 days of watching her bruised, and feeling her in pain almost every night, it gets too much for me. I need to tell her the truth. I need her to know I can protect her. I have found out that she is 17 and an orphan living in a foster home. I am standing outside the school when I see her arriving on foot, I didn’t know she walked here every day. When she sees me, she bows her head, hiding her beautiful face under her hoodie. Before she can enter the school, I grab her hand and pull her with me.

“Alex, what are you doing?” she whispers with fear in her voice. I don’t answer I just keep walking until we reach the forest behind the school.

“Alex, please, we will be late.” I can hear the fear, but also hear and feel other emotions from her. I turn towards her, not letting go of her hand, it is the first time I feel her skin and got I love feeling the sparks forming on my skin, from the mare feeling of her hand in mine. She is not looking at me but at the ground. I take my other hand put it under her chin and push her head up and look into her eyes. Gosh, she is beautiful.

“Lina” I whisper her name and she whimpers a little.

“Babygirl, I know you can feel it.” She looks at me with tears in her eyes.

“Please Alex, I” she breathes heavily.

“I don’t know what it is I feel.” I remove a tear from her eye with my finger.

“I think you do Beautiful, you are just scared.” She looks at me shaking and I pull her close to me, I lower my lips to her ear and whisper.

“You are my mate and I your baby girl.” She whimpers but starts to relax in my arms. She looks up at me and I lean down. The moment our lips meet, electricity is created between us, and I kiss her deeper. After a little while she pulls away, she whispers so quietly I almost don’t hear.

“I am sorry, I am so sorry, that your moon goddess stuck you with me a stupid human. I won’t hold you to it, I promise I will not bother you.” With these words, she runs towards the school. I am a bit shocked by her words and stay still for a few minutes. Does she think this low of herself? Can’t she see how beautiful and amazing she is?

When I get back to school, I can smell she is here. But I don’t see her anywhere. I want to talk with her. Let her understand, that I don’t care if she is Human. I am just happy and excited I finally found her.

Lina POV.

Oh my God, no, Alex, the future Alpha is my mate, me a human. I am walking towards to girl’s bathroom when someone grabs my arm. I look and see it’s Ken.

“There you are, my favorite girl.” I whimper

“Let me go, please,” I beg.

“Now, now silly girl I can’t do that. We have a game later and a few of my guys need to let out some tension.” I look at him with fear.

“Please Ken don’t please I am still hurting from last night. Please.” Tears start forming in my eyes, I was still hurting after he had come into my room doing the night.

“Oh, stop being a bitch.” He pulls me with him with a tight grip on my arm. He drags me to the football team’s locker room. When we get there 3 guys are in there by the showers.

“Here we go boys have fun,” Ken says with a smirk and pushes me into the arms of one of the guys. He licks my face and speaks.

“Yummy I have been wanting another round with you for a while.” I know him, his name is Duke, and he is the biggest pervert in school. Ken has let him use me before.

He rips my hoodie and top, and looks down on me licking his lips, he forces up my jeans, so they break and one of the others pulls them down. I am begging them not to do this, but I know they won’t listen. Duke forced himself inside and I cry out in pain, but it only makes him go faster and rougher. Then I hear him groan and he pulls out as his thick fluid runs down my legs. Only for the next one to take over and rape me. At this point, I have given up and just cry silently and am close to passing out from the pain. But then everything happens so fast the guy is being pulled away from me and I hear him being thrown across the room before everything goes dark.

Alex POV.

I am walking the halls when pain and fear rush through my body, Lina where are you. The pain gets worse, and I growl.

“Something is a wrong hunter.” He growls in my head.

“Mate, mate is in pain, someone is hurting her.” The thought alone makes me growl.

“Find her Hunter, find her.” I let Hunter come slightly forward, his senses blend in with mine and we can smell, her scent so much more.

We follow her scent until we reach the locker rooms that the football team uses. Just as I am about to open the door, I hear her whimper in pain and some guys laughing. I enter the room and follow the sounds. What I see when I reach the showers breaks my heart into 1000 pieces.

My beautiful mate is forced against the wall and one of the guys is raping her. I see red and go into full-blown anger when I run in grab the guy and throw him across the room. I growl loudly Hunter is trying to get out, but I know if he does, they will all die. I notice her scent lingers on one of the other guys and I walk over and grab him around the neck. The guy laughs and speak

“Dude relax, you can have a run with her too,” I growl at him and throw him into the wall, where he falls and passes out. That’s when I see the other guys have left, and I see my sweet, beautiful mate beat up her clothes ripped to pieces and passed out.

Chapter Five

Alex POV.

I run over to Lina. My beautiful mate oh Goddess no let her be okay.

“Lina, baby girl, please wake up beautiful.” She doesn’t answer. But I feel her breath normally. I pull off my hoodie and put it on her. While I am mind linking Logan, Mike, and their mates.

“Guys I need help; a group of guys was assaulting Lina she is badly hurt. Her clothes ripped and she passed out.” I hear growls and feel their sympathy through the link. When Emma says.

“Alex brings her to the school nurse. She is a wolf from our pack.” I silently thank the Goddess for that Emma has a dream of becoming a doctor. So, she checked these things.

“Emma you are a savior, thank you.” I lift Lina in bridal style and hurry towards the school nurse.

“We will be right there Alpha; Emma will bring some clean clothes for her,” Logan says and the link closes.

I reach the nurse’s office and she gasps when she sees me come in.

“Alpha, what gave happened.” She rushes around her desk and runs to us.

“A group of guys was attacking her in the showers,” I answer.

“Oh, poor girl. Come lay her here. I will take care of her.” I put I down on the bed in the room connected to her office.

“I am not going anywhere,” I tell her.

“Alpha you have done all you can I will take care of the poor girl. There isn’t Anything more you can do.” She says in a tone telling me I can trust her. I look at her and for the first time tell someone other than my friends

“Lina is my mate.” The nurse looks at me with shock. But leaves and lets me stay. I look at my beautiful mate and pray to the goddess that she will wake up soon.

Lina POV.

“Goddess, I beg you, please keep Lina be okay. I know I just met her, but you chose her to be my mate. Human or not, I want the chance to love her, protect her, to show her there is a better world. Please do not make me lose her. I will be the mate she deserves” Those are the words I hear from the most alluring voice I have ever heard. And I have heard it so many times before.

I slowly open my eyes and am blinded by the lamp hanging from the ceiling. Getting used to the light I turn my head and see a guy sitting on a chair. The black hair and the scent of forest and chocolate tell me it’s Alex. He is sitting with his face in his hands.

“Alex?” I whisper because my throat hurts. His head snaps up and he hurries over to me.

“Lina, thank goodness, you okay.” He takes my hand, and I feel all the sweet sparkles all over my body.

“What happened, did you,” I swallow hard. “Did you kill them?” I do not want Alex to get in trouble because of me. He looks at me.

“No, but I should have.” He says with a threatening voice.

“No, I am happy you didn’t. I don’t want you to get in trouble; I know the laws if a wolf hurts or kills a human.” I whisper. He takes a deep breath and is about to say something when the door opens, and the school nurse comes in.

“Oh, good Luna, you are awake, how are you feeling,” she says looking at me.

“Erhm my name is Lina.” She looks at me with confusion, then it looks like she sort of gets lost in her mind, and then she is normal again and speaks.

“Of course, are you feeling okay,” she asks me.

I nod my head but don’t tell her I am hurting a lot between my legs the lover’s stomach. I just want to get out of here, but at the same time, I am scared to the dead to go home, knowing Ken will be there. But I have nowhere else to go. I look over at Alex and see he is looking at me, his eyes filled with so much warmth and worry. The nurse says something about that I can leave when ready and leaves the room.

“Emma, Logan’s mate, have some spare clothes, you two are the same size, she said you can borrow it, she will come with it soon,” Alex says softly. I nod my head and try to give him a little smile.

“Thank you” I whisper, just as the door opens and the two sisters walk in.

“Gosh, Lina, are you okay, I’m so sorry you had to go through that,” Emma says.

“Thank you, I’m ok,” I say in a low voice. The sisters come forward to me and I get a little nervous, but they just lean in and hug me. I open my eyes in surprise. Other than when Alex pulled me into him, I haven’t had a hug for years. I get tears in my eyes, not being used to the that anyone cares about me.

“I know you usually wear jeans but all I had was some leggings and this shirt.” Emma says handing me some black leggings and a shirt with half long sleeves. It’s a cute outfit, but she is right it’s not something I usually wear. But it’s so sweet of her to want to help me.

“Thank you, Emma, really I appreciate it more than you know.” I smile at her, and she smiles back. The sisters give me another hug before they leave. And Alex comes over to me taking my hand and caressing it. I look into his beautiful blue eyes and feel so safe around him.

“Get dressed Beautiful, I will wait outside” he kisses my forehead and go outside the door, waiting for me. I hurry to take off his hoodie and put on the leggings and the top, but I feel so exposed right now, I look at his hoodie and hurry to take it on over the shirt I know wear.

I get changed and open the door and enter the nurse’s office, they both sitting there. Alex gets up and walks to me and smiles when he notices I took on his hoodie again.

“Is it okay I keep it on?” I ask not looking at him.

“Of course, it is.” He answers softly. And I nod my head. Not knowing what to do now. But Alex grabs my hand and leads me out of the room and outside to sit in the grass near the forest. We don’t say anything for a while.

“I am so sorry Lina” Alex suddenly says looking at me. I look at him confused, but then remember, he is the future Alpha, and I might be his mate, but I am broken and ruined. Not worthy of anyone especially not him. I bow my head.

“It’s okay, I understand, I really do. You do not have to be sorry. I will be fine. It’s only to be expected” He looks at me confused at first, but then realizes what I mean.

“Lina. No, it’s not what I meant, not at all. I am not rejecting you, the goddess I am never going to leave you. I am sorry I couldn’t protect you Beautiful. I am so sorry you had to go through that pain. And something tells me it’s not the first time someone hurt you. “He says and I can see a tear forming in his eyes. God, he is blaming himself for my pain.

“Alex” I whisper his name. “It’s not your fault that I live with this. My life has been like this for the last two years. You can’t do anything. I am seventeen. I have to live in that house another 10 months until I turn eighteen.” He looks at me.

“Do they hurt you at home?” He asks. Not wanting to answer I shrug my shoulders. But say nothing.

“Lina, do they hurt you?” He asks again holding my chin up making me look at him.

“Not my foster parents, they just don’t care about me. It’s their son Ken, he.” I can’t get the word out. And I see Alex’s eyes turn dark with anger.

“Was he one of them?” he asks, and I nod my head.

“He took me there, just so his friends could.” I don’t finish as he gives out a growl and I back away. When he sees that he scares me, he calms down takes my hand pulling me into his arms. And whisper in my ear.

“Don’t fear me, please, I will never hurt you, I will never force you. But I cannot let you go home where you are in danger.” He takes in a deep breath in my hair. And speak.

“You are going home with me. I will get you your own room. But I will also know that you are safe.”

Chapter Six

Lina POV.

“You are going home with me. I will get you your own room. But I will also know that you are safe.” I hear the words coming from his mouth, though I am not sure I heard right, and then it hits me what he said. Take me home with him. I cannot do that. I am not 18 yet, if he does, he will get in trouble.

“But you can’t, I mean, I am not eighteen I am not of age yet, my foster parents decide how my life is going to be until I am.” I whisper in a low tone and look down, not knowing if he heard me.

It’s not that I want to stay at my foster home, because I really don’t. I just don’t want him to get in trouble. He has been nothing but sweet to me. Mate or not, he has only shown concern for me when I was obviously hurting, and he saved me. I would hate myself for causing problems for him. My mind is going on overdrive, and I don’t notice that Alex has come closer before he with 2 fingers under my chin lift my head, so I look into his beautiful eyes, and I feel the sparks on my skin again, I wonder why I feel those whenever he touches me but be the mate thing. He is sitting on his knees, so he could come closer to me, and I can feel the warmth from his body, realizing I was freezing a little.

“I don’t care Lina. I am not letting you go to a home where I know someone is hurting you.” He whispers as his forehead is pressed against mine. “And according to werewolf law, you belong with me know sweetheart.” He smiles a little and looks into my eyes.

“Alex, I” I start to say something not knowing what I wanted to say. I do not want to go home, I want to feel safe like I do right now. I try again. “Alex, I want to go with you, but they will never let me.” Knowing what I said is true.

“They will babygirl, trust me.” He answers and smiles at me before standing up, he reaches me his hand and helps me up, and go towards his car. He opens the door for me, and I get in. When he gets in and starts the engine, he looks at me and smiles. “Don’t worry, everything will work out.” And we leave the parking lot driving towards my foster home.

I don’t know what to say, so I just sit looking out the window. I am scared to hope, hope that I will finally get away from my hell. It doesn’t take long before we stop outside the house. I look at him wondering how he knows where I live. I look over at him and raise an eyebrow making him laugh.

“Did you think I wouldn’t know where my mate live, I have known since the first day I saw you, babe.” He smiles at my confused look and gets out and around to open my door.

I get out and look at him. I am shaking a little afraid of what will happen now, nuts I know, he is after all a wolf. He looks back down at me, motions to want to hug me and I nod my head. He put his big arms around me, and I instantly start to relax. It is so strange. I have just been assaulted and raped by two guys, and here I stand in the arms of one and feel safer than I have my entire life. I can feel his breath in my hair and looks up only to see how close his lips are to mine. He looks at my lips as if he wants to kiss me, and leans in a little, and then we hear the front door to the house open and he pulls back a little and winks to me, and whispers to me.

“Later b.” I blush and look down hearing him chuckle a little.

“Can I help you with something?” the voice from my foster dad sounds behind Alex and he lets me go and just then he can see me, as I was hidden by Alex’s big body.

“Lina, why you are home now. You are supposed to be at school. “My Foster dad sounds angry but before I Can say anything Alex steps forward reaching out his hand to him.

“Hello, sir. My name is Alex, Alex Black Future Alpha of the Moon Stone Pack.” My Foster dad looked at him surprised and all of the sudden in a good mood.

“Hello, Alex. My name is Carl, I am this Lina’s foster dad.” He looks at me

“Yes, I know, Carl can we go inside. I need to speak with you and your wife.” Alex politely asks.

“Of course, I don’t hope Lina Has caused any problems.” Carl says looking at me again.

“Not at all. It’s quite the opposite, to be honest.” Alex answers and Carl nods his head

Alex POV.

“This way Alpha, is it alright I say, Alex.” Carl asks, and Alex Nods and smiles before we all go inside. We get inside and go into the kitchen where my foster mom is, she looks at us all surprised

“Honey, this is Alex, The future Alpha of Moon Stone Pack.” He says looking at her, “Alex this is my wife Karen, Lina’s Foster mom.” Alex again reaches out his hand to shake her hand.

“Welcome Alpha is there a problem.” she asks looking at Lina

“Hello Karen, to be honest, yes there is, but not the kind of problem you probably think.” I answer and look at her and Carl. “Can we sit down?” I ask

“Of course, Alex, take a seat.” Carl says before he and Karen both sit down.

Lina is about to sit when I pull her to sit on my lap, as she sits and I put my arms around her, I feel how her tensed body gets calm and relaxes. I give her shoulder a small kiss.

“So, what can we help you with Alex?” Carl asks me. I know I seem calm on the outside, but I am furious inside and Hunter is too. These people are supposed to keep Lina safe and take care of her. And so far, it all just sounds like they think she is a burden.

“Carl, Karen. Are you aware that your son Ken Is abusing Lina, and so in more than one way?” I ask calmly. And I can already see Carl getting angry.

“Alex, I don’t know what Lina has told you. But I assure you that my son, our son, do not abuse Lina or any other foster kid in this house for that matter.” He looks angry and pissed off when he looks at Lina before looking at me with a fake smile.

“I am sorry to say he does, I have seen it with my own eyes.” I say and look back at him.

“Lina has always had a good eye to our son, but he never showed her any attention.” Karen says in a high tone. I can feel Lina tense in my arms, and I caress her softly. Making her understand I don’t believe them.

“Carl, Karen. I today saved Lina, while your son was forcing her to be raped by some of his football friends. The be completely honest he is lucky I didn’t kill them.” I say in a cold tone. And I hear Karen gasp and Lina is Looking down at the floor and our feet. Before any of them can say more I say.

“Lina is my Mate, I am sure as you are living in this town, you know what that means. And I am not letting my mate live in a home with someone who is abusing her. So, I am going to take Lina with me to live with me in my pack, where I know she will be safe.” I say letting my alpha aura come out a little, to let them know I am dead serious.

“Lina is only 17, have heard about mates, and I know who can’t tell if someone is your mate before they turn 18. And we have custody of Lina till she turns 18. So, no we cannot, nor will we let Lina go to live with you.” Carl says fuming with anger. I smirk at him.

“In a normal case yes, it is true you have to be 18 to find your mate. But I am an Alpha and a very strong one of that. And that means even if Lina is not 18 yet, I will know. And Lina will because of who I am feel the pull and a small part of the bond. And when she turns 18, or if I mark her, she will feel it fully. And I do honestly not care about what claim you think you have to be Lina’s foster parents. Because you have failed that big time. So, either you can let her go with me, or I will let the social services know how little control you have in your own house. And when that is said. I will from now keep an eye on this. And I will not see you getting another girl to live here under the same roof as your so-called son.” I say calm never removing my eyes from Carl’s, who is still getting angrier. As he knows he can’t put up a fight with me. He looks at me then at his pathetic wife, then back at me and Lina.

“Then take her, I really don’t care what you do with her.” Carl says making me growl from how much he really doesn’t care what happens to Lina.

Annoyed with this man I use two fingers to get Lina to look me in the eyes. I can feel her sadness but somehow also a relief. I smile at her kiss her forehead.

“Go pack your stuff sweetheart, I will call Logan to get him to come with a bigger car, so we can take it all.” Looking at her she suddenly feels embarrassed looking down, and I look at her worried.

“You don’t need to call Logan. I don’t have much, just some clothes and a few personal stuffs. It can be in your car” she whispers not wanting to look at me. I make her look at me again.

“Don’t feel embarrassed love. Never feel embarrassed with me, I don’t care about what you have or do not have. All I care about is that you will have a better life with me.” I smile at her, and she gives a small smile back. “Now go get your stuff, I will wait here.”

I watch her stand up and hurry upstairs. All while I sit here calmly waiting for her to return.

Chapter Seven

Lina POV.

I hurried up to my room, found my 2 big travel bags, and started to fill them with my clothes and the few books and stuff I had that was mine. I was getting out of this house, away from Ken and my foster parents. I did not have a lot, as a foster kid, we learn to not have more belongings than we can carry.

Walking down the stairs it is deadly silent down there. For a moment I got worried, maybe Alex had changed his mind, and left without me. When I entered the kitchen, I let out a breath, I didn’t even know I was holding in. Alex was still here; he didn’t leave me. He heard me stand up and came to me, caressing my cheek.

“You okay Beautiful?” I nodded my head, feeling all relieved. He looks me in the eyes, and I can see he know why. “I would never leave you.” He whispers I’m in my ear. And I relax.

“Okay, let’s go Beautiful, time to go home.” He says giving my foster parents a nod. I look at them before saying

“Bye.” They don’t answer, but I don’t care, I am just happy to leave. Alex takes my bags, and we leave the house. He puts my bags in the back of his car, turns around before putting his arms around me.

“You, okay?” He asks. And I nod my head. I have never been better. He smiles and opens the door for me to get in, then walks around and gets in next to me.

As we start driving, I am not sure what to say, what will his parents think? do they even know about me? Will they get mad that he took me home with him? The questions are running wild in my mind, as I am looking out the windows, at the beautiful forest.

Alex POV.

We are driving to the pack and are now driving through the forest. Lina is sitting quietly looking out, I know she is nervous, I can feel it through our bond. I reach over and take one of her hands in mine, and squeeze it lightly, loving the sparks I get from touching her. She looks at our hands but does not say anything.

“My parents are at home, my mom has been wishing for me to find my mate, so don’t be scared if she gets a bit too excited,” I tell her softly and she nods her head.

“Do they know, about me I mean?” She whispers.

“To be completely honest, no. But it’s only because I wanted to get to know you first. And I know this can be a lot to deal with for a human. But don’t worry, they will love you.” She nods her head.

“Their names are Elisabeth and William,” I say to make sure she knows.

We drive up in front of the packhouse and stop the car. The packhouse has 4 floors, the first one where kitchen living rooms and other rooms. Where all pack members can come and go as they wish. Plus, it has the Alpha’s office and rooms for bigger meetings. The second floor is mainly guestrooms and where a few of our omega's taking care of the house live. The third floor is divided in two, one side for the beta family, and the other side for the gamma family.

Then there is the top floor that is for the Alpha and his family. It has 5 bedrooms all with its own bathroom, then a small kitchen space for quick snacks, a private dining area and living room plus a small library. It’s a big house I know, but very common for a pack to have.

I get out of the car and walk around to the passenger side and open the door for Lina. She gets out and looks at the house with big eyes.

“It’s big I know,” I say amused. And she nods her head.

“You live there? She asks.

“Yes, but so do the beta and gamma family, and a few others. Also, pack members come and go as they wish all day. Two first floors are open for everyone where the others are for the Alpha, beta, and gammas family’s top floor only for the Alpha and whoever we allow there.” I tell her. She looks at me and nods her head again and speaks.

“It’s beautiful.” She smiles at me. I reach inside the car take her bags to grab her hand and walk inside. When we get in, I greet one of our omegas.

“Mary, this is Lina, can you please Make sure these bags get up in the room across from mine, and while you’re there make sure it’s ready to Lina.” Mary is our head Omega in the house, and she always spoiled me, Logan and Mike, when we were kids.

“Hello Lina, it’s so nice to meet you, if you need anything don’t hesitate to ask.” She greets Lina and smiles at us.

“Thank you. It’s very sweet of you.” Lina answer and Mary give her a big smile.

“Alpha, your father, and mother are in your father’s office. Just brought them lunch. I will bring in more if you like.” She smiles

“We will go there now, but wait with food, I think we maybe eat upstairs instead,” I tell her and walk towards my dad’s office with Lina’s hand in mine. When we get there, I whisper.

“Relax Beautiful, everything will be fine.” I kiss her forehead, trying to calm her down. Before knocking on the door, and we go in.

When we come inside my mom and dad are sitting on his couch eating. They look at us as we walk in and my dad says.

“Alex, why are you not at school? And who do we have here?” he gives Lina a warm smile.

“Dad, mom, this is Lina, my mate.” They both stand up to greet Lina welcome my mom giving her a big hug. Lina looks at me surprised, but smiles.

“Welcome Lina, I am Elisabeth, and this man here is William.” My mom greets her.

“Alpha, Luna, it’s very nice to meet you.” Lina says nervously.

“Oh child, you do not have to call us that when we are in private.” My dad says also giving Lina a big hug. “Where did you find such a beautiful mate son.”

“I found her at school dad, I wanted to get to know her before taking her home. But some things have been happening, at school and Lina’s foster home. So, I decided we would get her stuff and move her here.”

Lina looks nervously, afraid they want her to tell what things. but they don’t

“Foster home, how old are you, sweetheart.” My mom asks.

“17” Lina answer almost in a whisper.

“I understand if you do not wish for me being here, I don’t want to make trouble.”

“You don’t look like a troublemaker sweetheart.” My dad laughs and Lina smile.

“I mean with me being here, being human and all.” Dad smiles warming to Lina

“Lina, let me ask you this. Do you want to be here? how do you feel about being Alex mate?” Dad asks.

“From, where I come from, to be here. It makes me feel a little like Cinderella. I have lived here for the last 10 years. I know about werewolves and their mates. I know some find human mates, I just never thought I would be one of those humans. Since I met Alex, a part of me has been happier, feeling safer, and I can’t help but be calm and relaxed when he touches my hand, or I can smell his scent. But I understand he is your son, the future Alpha, I know he needs

to be strong and can’t have anything of anyone to make him weak.” Lina answer quietly but with a strong voice. My dad looks at me.

“I already told her it doesn’t matter to me if she is Human.” I mindlink him. He nods his head.

“Let me tell you something Lina.” Dad says.

“My beautiful mate, Elizabeth here, this packs Luna, is also human.” Lina looked at my dad and mom surprised. And mom nods.

“So, you see, we do not care if you are human or a wolf. A mate is not just a girlfriend/boyfriend wife or husband. A mate is that last piece we wolves need to become complete, to become our strongest self. If our moon goddess has chosen you as Alex’s mate, she has a reason for that.”

“You mean I can stay?” Lina looks at my parents then at me. And I see a tear forming in her eyes.

“Of Couse, you can Stay sweetie.” My mom rushes to give Lina another warm hug. I can feel Lina relax a little again.

“Mom, Dad, I will show Lina the room I have Mary get ready for her. She has had a long and hard morning. I think she could use a nap.” Both of them look at me, and I know why. Normally Lina would be staying in my room, with me. But I know with everything, it will be too much for her right now. So that’s why I did the next best, made sure she is close to me. My parents nod their heads.

“Of course, son, you go have a nice nap sweetie. We will see you later. Alex, can you come back down when you have shown Lina her room. Got some stuff we need to look at.” Dad says.

“Yes, I will be back in 15-20 minutes, which be okay.”

“Perfect.”

We say our goodbyes and leave the office, showing her upstairs. I open the door to her room and see that Mary did an excellent job. The room is all set. Smiling to Lina I say.

“This will be your room. You can do or change anything you like. The two doors are the walk-in closet and bathroom. I am sure Mary stocked it with shampoo, but you can change that too if you like.” Lina is standing still, not saying one word while she looks around stunned.

“This is the most beautiful room I have ever seen.” She whispers. “Are you sure it is okay, that I am here?” I cut her off before she can finish speaking, going to her grabbing her face, and leaning in to give her a soft kiss. I remember how sweet she tasted this morning.

“Stop Beautiful. Yes, it’s okay. I want you here.” Giving her another kiss that she deftly responds to.

I put my arms around her deepening our kiss, but without being too needy. She relaxes in my arms and after a little I feel her arms hug me back, making me smile against her lips. I gently let her go look at her.

“Get some rest. It’s been a long day. Or if you want a bath to relax your muscles, you can do that. But try to get a nap, I will wake you up later. Or if you wake up, feel free to look around. Or text me on my phone. Here’s my number.” She looks down, feeling a bit ashamed again.

“I don’t have a phone.” She whispers and I smile.

“Well, guess we need to get you one then babygirl. Until you are ready for us to complete our matebond, we need a way to get in touch if we are not together.” She looks up and just smiles at her.

“Get some rest baby, I will find you later.” I give her another soft kiss and leave to give her some peace.

Don’t worry, you are safe here, safe with us, for the rest of your life. I think to myself, and Hunter agrees. I know he will kill anyone trying to hurt her again. With that in mind, I go back to my dad’s office.
